Fort Lauderdale, FL 33346I have just returned from my 5th cruise aboard this spectacular Royal Caribbean ship which made its maiden voyage in Mar 2001 - there are not enough superlatives to describe her. In every way, being on
board the Radiance is sheer heaven. The ship has ocean vistas, even from the elevators and, beautiful displays of art are everywhere. The deep woods are gleaming as are all the brass trims and the ten story Centrum dazzles.
The days and nights are filled with activies, though you can relax and do absolutely nothing. Learn a little salsa, try your hand at blackjack, enter the men's sexy legs contest, buy a piece of art, and, of course, eat, eat, eat! The meals, from the elegant Captain's welcome dinner
to casual dining in the beautiful Windjammer never cease. Choices are incredible and varied, to suit every whim. You can do a heart smart selection or, if you're like me, have a second plate of escargot! There is salvation, however, in the form of a very nice work out center ( I never entered it!! ), which looks out on the ocean!
This cruise, Captain Richard Brearley, a wonderful Canadian and one of my favorites, was at the helm. He is reflective of all the crew, from some 60 nations - absolutely outstanding. In fact, while Royal Caribbean has beautiful ships and itineraries, it is the crew that are their biggest asset. I have never met a finer group of people, committed to the well being of the passengers they serve.
I can heartily recommend the Radiance or any of their other ships... what a wonderful, carefree way to vacation.
