After Royal Family Billiards closed in the late 90's, Cincinnati no longer had a large billiards hall. Sure, lots of bars have pool tables but how many places can you show up to with 20 friends for an evening of heavy drinking and avoiding pop shots?
I tended bar here a few years after they opened. Every time I've visited since it's been nearly identical. Bad music on the juke, shady patrons, an occasional decent shark running one of the 9 foot tables in the front of the room and a few regulars pulled up close to the bar. If you're a pool junkie and looking for instant gratification you won't be disappointed. Order food from the Buffalo Wild Wings next door and you can have them deliver it to the bar at the pool hall.
