How can a tiny sub have so many calories?

    Fat.

Tastes good though. Convenient because I work in the building, so big ups for that. So if I don't have time and I'm sick of Lee's, this is the place.

I had the Signature Mesquite Chicken Sandwich for lunch today. It was pretty awful.

The chicken in the picture is all perty and grilled. I'm fairly confident mine was canned chicken. It certainly tasted like it, and the texture was the same as canned tuna, all bathed in mesquite-ranch-corn-syrup dressing.

Also, there was no actual visible bacon on the sandwich. Maybe they use bacon extract?

I paid over $9 for my regular sized sammich, chips, and a Pepsi. Ouch. I won't be back again any time soon.

Lee's Deli is around the corner, they make pretty decent sandwiches.

I was never a huge fan of Quiznos until about an hour ago. That 3:00 grumble started to creep on me and I knew Starbucks or Jamba or Subway wasn't going to do it. Then Jenny O. suggested Quiznos because they have little sandwiches (a.k.a. "Sammies").

I got the Sonoma Turkey Sammie and it was like 4th of July/Christmas/Thanksgiving for my mouth. Fireworks. Bliss. Peace. Satisfaction. Just found out it's only 270 calories which is about what a bag of chips comes to. This is so much better than a bag of chips. The bread was almost TB Chalupa-like.

    Sammies=perfect mid-afternoon snack.

Decent Quiznos. Happy that it's open on Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes only one person working on the weekend so she's busy, but she's always gotten my special requests right and works as fast as possible without making mistakes.

Our last sandwiches had too much meat and sauce. Some might think that's a good thing, but it was overboard.

Every time I walk into Quizno's, I can't help wonder, "why am I here?"  Apparently, I go for overpriced, mediocre sandwiches because that is what I get each and every time.  Particularly when you consider this place is less than a block away from my office, I rarely eat here (maybe once every 3-4 months).

Still, I have some specific complaints and observations of Quizno's.  Do they have to douse heavy sweet sauces on top of what are otherwise decent quality ingredients?  And the prices ... geesh!  The quality doesn't warrant spending a 10 spot or more for a sandwich, soda and chips.  Too expensive!

I eat here regularly and I like this Quiznos. The staff is always friendly and the lettuce is kept fresh (this is the one point I hate about many Subways).

Hmmm...  I was in the mood for a tuna sandwich and I should have gone to the small market in the building next door, but I thought I'd try Quiznos as I used to love their ads that had those little hamster things singing about the moon.

Well - the ads I still like but the subs are not very impressive.  I feel like I am eating a sub made from all the worst possible ingredients.  I am sure there are a lot of trans fats, etc.  which would be fine if this sub tasted like comfort food.   But it doesn't - it is bland.

    when: weekday late lunch

I wanted to redeem my free sub coupon (http://www.millionsubs...), but they only offer $2 off instead of a FREE sub. I wouldnt come here if you're a holder of this coupon--there are many more locations around that may honor the deal.

I ended up paying $3.14 for a small Chicken Burbon off their Signiture Sub menu. Still not bad, but that's $3.14 more than I had expected.

The sandwich was good though--but if i were to eat out, I think i would've went for something else (the Lee's around the corner looked good, and the sandwich place across the street from there always smelled good). The chicken was surprisingly moist for a fast food joint, good sweet/spicy sauce, and soft but crisped (parts a little burnt) edge wheat bread. Pretty filling for a small.

Service was alright. Sandwich took a little longer than it should've--i saw my sandwich sitting on the grill which probably contributes to the crispier-slightly-burnt edge of my bread.

I'd pass on this place for the other options around.

I'm so irritated that this is the closest place to my work to get a salad. I trudged over in the pouring rain and am so despondent about my experience that I have to Yelp it immediately.

Pan-asian chicken salad ("Hey," I thought, " If McDonald's can do it, so can Quiznos!")

The salad is revolting. Anemic pink tomatoes, red onions and sodium enriched chicken. They even forgot to put the crispy noodle things on there.

Bleh...considering it's only been 10 minutes since I ate it, it's triggering my gag reflex as I type.

I guess if you like toasted bread with a lot of sauce, that this place would appeal to you.

however, i find their sandwichs to be very sub par.  so skimpy with the meat!  looks nothing like what they have pictured.

I don't know why all these folks are so upset with this Quiznos. The workers here are friendly and the sandwiches are very consistent, unlike some of the other chains.

Really, you order your sandwich, they make it fast, you eat it, it's good... What's the big deal?

You want fattening oil dripping juicyness? Go to McDonalds... They'll take care of you just fine. They'll add a few numbers to your morning scale check as well as a complimentary aortic valve stenosis.

I like Quizno's... I like their subs, I like their soups. What I don't like is being taken for a ride by some slimy marketer.

We got coupons mailed to our office for $2 off any regular or large sub. Valid before 2/15 at "participating locations".

"Nice!", I thought, "we have Quizno's just around the corner". So I grabbed 3 of these coupons and the first two got me nice tasty subs.

Today I stopped by Quizno's again and the cashier looked at my last coupon and pointed me at a handwritten sign that stated these coupons are no longer accepted (right below another note about plastic water cups now costing 35 cents).

Hmm, it's 2/13 and that was a participating location last week.  This sucks!

Not that I didn't have $2 extra or didn't want to pay full price for a good sub but would I be there if it wasn't for that coupon? Doubt it.

They got extra $2 from me but they lost all my future business.

Quizno's is to Subway what Volvo is to Volkswagen - just as reliable, but with a little more panache.

Just your typical Quizno's - kind of on the small side, but they have decent quality control here and I've never had a messy or bad sandwich.  Really hits the spot after the gym.

Say what you will about quizno's in general, and it probably will apply to this location as well. The thing that really makes this spot special to me is that it's just 100 feet from my office, so when I feel like having a tasty sub, I simply walk over. Lately I've been getting their Deli Tuna with a slice of cheddar (regular is the size I typically choose), but their Angus Beef is pretty nice too. Quizzers might be a tad pricey, but I much prefer it to Subway.

I go here from time to time when in a pinch. Could someone please explain the big deal about the whole broiled sub thing? I know they are aware that some stuff really should not be heated, but I tend to find that their sauces, once heated, become largely indigestible. But, then again, this could be due to my obvious sub-clinical GERD and subsequent deficiency of nexium or prilosec. So basically I get the tuna fish with lettuce everytime and that does not give me too much of an issue. But it is quick and convenient - the perils of the modern age...

This location is very convenient for me b/c i work nearby and can run over for a quick sandwich on lunch. The service is usually pretty nice but it takes so long to get the food. I guess its good b/c its usually pretty fresh once your order is up but its not good if you are in a hurry. DONT go between 12-1 bc/ the lines get so long they are going out the door. If you take an early lunch...stop by at eleven and its dead.

The make your sub, run it through a toaster and you eat it.  It's just that simple.  Bread is always fresh and so are the toppings.  It's a sub shop, so I don't know what else to say.  It is a national chain however, and there are plenty of local places nearby.

I am sorry, but I love Quizno's. Toasted subs!! Always yummy! Especially since moving to SF, I am a super anti-chain restaurant snob. But I will give it up like there's no tomorrow for Quizno's and Taco Bell.

I came in with my coupon for a free sub, with a group of my co-workers.  For some reason all of my white co-workers got their free sub, but when I made my order I was turned down.... got to love it!

When I emailed the owner, she told me she was very sorry, and to make up for me not getting a free sub, she offered me 50% off a sub, not even matching the coupon that was rejected.
