Quiznos
1 review for Quiznos
In the world of YELP, where it's considered verboten to write reviews for chain stores, I'm sorry but I'm gonna cave.
Have you ever gone through a drive-thru and ordered food according to those photo's they have posted? Likewise, when was the last time a Subway or Fireside sammich looked like it's picture. They sure make them look scrumptious, don't they? Quizno's is one of those rare places where most of the food and sammiches actually look like their pictures. Here are my favorites:
Black Angus Steak on rosemary Parmesan bread, with steak, mozzarella, cheddar, mushrooms, sauteed onions, Honey bourbon mustard and some zesty sauce but don't muck it up with lettuce and tomatoes.
Peppercorn Prime rib, mozzarella, sauteed onions, mild peppercorn sauce. Lettuce and tomato optional but not recommended.
Prime Rib Cheese-steak Tender strips, swiss, sauteed onions, hold the mayo. Lettuce and tomatoes? What are you thinking? But do add the horseradish sauce liberally.
Primo Meatball Tender seasoned meatballs, zesty marinara sauce, melted mozzarella and other spices all toasted on a choice of white or wheat artisan bread. Lettuce and tomatoes? Don't even think about it.
Turkey Bacon Guacamole Turkey, bacon, guacamole, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, red onion, ranch dressing. Lettuce and tomatoes? Sure, why not?
They also have a great variety of soups and salads that make a perfect light lunch. My two faves are:
Broccoli cheese with melted cheddar cheese in a bread bowl. But the sourdough is a little weak.
Black & Bleu Salad
Steak, blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes, red onions, balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
You can pre-order on-line and some locations even deliver.
They say a picture paints a thousand words, but they sometimes lie. There's no false intentions here, they serve up what they advertise, and honestly tastes at good as they look.
