This is the closest boba place by where I live and I always order the same thing. Can't go wrong with the jasmine green tea (no boba)!

Service was fast today since it was pretty empty in there. Being as it was so warm out, a cold drink was called for. The jasmine green tea was only $1.75...it was lightly sweet and super refreshing! Quickly is pretty consistent across the board when it comes to their drinks...can't say the same for their food items though.

Does anyone else love the feeling of poking the straw through the plastic covering or is it just me?

There is another Quickly only a block away, but this place is uniquely combined with a Chinese restaurant that offers a sit-down menu in addition to its typical snacks and boba drinks. I was drawn to this place because the menu has some interesting dishes ranging from clay pots, crispy pan fried noodles, and rice dishes, and the décor is more spacious but otherwise consistent with any other Quickly stores. I ordered a fresh papaya boba ($3.49) to go with prawns with scramble eggs over rice ($5.50). My drink arrived at room temperature with its taste overshadowed by milk instead of papaya, and the serving of boba was tasteless without a sign of honey or brown sugar. The boba texture did not have life or the dexterity desired, and the overall taste of the drink was horrendous.

Although the number of large prawns was decent, but the eggs were too well done and could have been better with a blend of starch to produce a runny consistency. The small serving of steamed rice was not fulfilling or tasteful as expected. Service was distanced and inattentive. Rather than to order everything together, I was instructed to get out of my seat to order the boba separately at the register. Given the unusual routine, it was baffling to discover that both still arrived under the same bill in the end. Although the menu may have given the impression of a sit down restaurant, the culture of Chinese fast food is still fairly rigid in the vibe, food, and service. 2 stars for the overall experience. I will not be coming back.

Quickly makes fantastic taro milk tea.  We got here as they were closing but the guy was nice enough to let us in and sell us some drinks, but unfortunately they were out of tapioca balls.  I would give them 5 stars (on the strength of their milk tea, the only thing I've ever had from a Quickly) but this was the second time I've gone and they haven't had tapioca, so I see a pattern emerging and am forced to adjust my rating appropriately.  But it hurts me to do so...

I usually don't visit this Quickly, but I wanted to share that on Tuesdays their Popcorn Chicken appetizer is 40% off...

I asked the cute old Asian owner why they started doing that  and he simply said.. "To compete with Popeye's Tuesday Chicken special!"  I smiled, and while waiting for my popcorn chicken special, I watched him announce it to every customer that walked in.. and when he serves you the chicken, he also says "Here is your 40% off Popcorn Chicken special" .. LOL HOW CUTE!

And with that, I am going to advertise it here...

A very standard fake taro slush. And, yes, I got it...quickly.

A slightly odd store in what appears to be a neighborhood dominated by burrito places. Ironically I find the milk tea cheaper here than buying one the exact same size in my suburb, although I understand it might be due to competition from other places (it's in the Mission!! What other bubble tea stores are in the area???). No matter. It's also a Chinese food restaurant.

I wasn't overly impressed with their fried rice but it got me through my day. The cashiers are usually friendly and get me my milk tea right away. It's nice to not to have to go all the way into Chinatown for milk tea! :)

I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about since this place is great. i'd go 5 stars but the surrounding restaurant is a bit ghetto.......but that has nothing to do with the bubble tea.

just like the one in the sunset this quicklys turns out great tea. I loved it, my girl loved it, and overall it is the bomb. A tad random to be in the mission as it should really be another burrito joint, but hey nothing wrong with mixing it up.

GOOD IDEA:
Quickly in the Mission District, to show more variations in other ethnic businesses in the neighborhood.

BAD IDEA:
El Mariachi Band performing in a Asian business? WTF.

SOLUTION:
Bring my "LION-DANCE" quartet and perform at a taqueria.

Interesting... I go from thinking there's no places that serve bubble tea in the Inner Mission to two places that's near me. Anyway, I decided to check this place out. Looks like it's also a chinese restaurant called "Dak Win" or something like that. In fact I had to take a quick look at the usual posters and menu that all Quicklys have to make sure I was in one. I guess they applied to have a Quickly's franchise. So not only do they have the fast food that most Qiuckly places serve, but other dishes that are common for chinese restaurants too. Anyway I ordered a large, Chocolate Milk Tea. Let's just say I wasn't too pleased about it. It tasted more "tea-ish" than the blended taste of milk and tea. Not the best way to spend $3+ on, but it doesn't hit on you the waist like what a McDonald's milkshake would do. BTW, the minimum for credit card orders is $4.

Edit 10/16/2007: Mmmmm. I think I found my favorite guilty pleasure snack now... Popcorn chicken.

Milk tea for 99 cents. And it's good! Who could resist? They also have buy one get one free on their drink of the day. Plus, this is the only boba place I know if in the Mission. (You can also get Chinese food here because it shares the same space as it's restaurant counterpart, Dak Win. I've yet to try the food though.)

Good ol' milk tea is also 99 cents. My favorite! JONASAPPROVED

I love quickly. This is a cool place to go get some slushies with a friend and enjoy. I've never tried any of the actual "food" but the orange slush and the green apple slush aren't half bad.

Oh did I mention this specific location is also a chinese restaurant ? So in  addition to the already huge quickly menu, they offer some other choices that sound pretty decent.

That Matt G guy I think he should take his lion group there. :]
Thats a good idea. everything around you, is mexican except this and the corner I go when I'm at my dad's so I don't starve myself to death. And I don't eat anything without shrimp when I'm out. The drinks aren't bad themselves, but then they serve asian food. Thats good? the have their own food deals like the one on polk. Omg, I've been to almost every one of these places in the city almost. nice on POLK.

The poor owner who works here is a nice middle aged asian man...he always seems to be rushed...I feel sorry for him sometimes because he just looks so vulnerable. Milk tea here really tastes bad and their popcorn chicken has no meat, it's literally all fried flour.

Taro was good, jasmine milk tea was bad Bad BAD! Gross, super sweet, and weird! And the girl tried to charge me like $3.00 for each, and I was like, no way dude, $1.99  special. It says right there. This is the worst Quickly I have been to.

Four stars for being there when I needed you. Chamalyn is the only other game in town (err the Mission) that I know of, and they close at 7pm. What if I want bobas at my usual night wolf hours? Well, this Quickly franchise inside a dinky dunk Chinese joint is open until almost 11. Looks like they got the same Taiwanese snacks as the other Quickly's.

Apparently the taro has been the milk tea of the day (the $0.99 cent special) and therefore of the month, but only cold - full price for hot. Whatsupwidditho??

In the sea of taqueria land, this little Chinese place is its own little oasis.  Quickly doesn't serve the best drinks but the price is right.  The highlight of the place is actually the small eats.  The fried chicken wings is one of the best I've ever had.  Crisp and mouthwatering and just the right amount of batter.

I spent the weekend in Napa and got a craving for Bubble Tea around 1 pm. I made it back to Noe Valley by 4:30 and was committed to having some Bubble Tea. I couldn't find any in Noe, so Mission it was. And when I got there, it was only 99 cents! I was one happy lady. Thank you  Quickly.

Oh Quickly! I give you 4 stars because you are the only Bubble tea in the Mission (besides the nasty one in the bakery that made me want to barf...) You are reliable in your flavor and fill the tasty sweet tooth...Hit up this place hidden inside a chinese food restuarant. The menu is a slightly smaller version of the Polk St. location. Yum.

i've recently become obsessed with their taro milk tea.  like a tropical cookie in drink form.  with pearl.  or pudding.  quickly is so cheap and so good.  it is a nice alternative for an afternoon pick-me-up from the seven million coffee shops in the area.  and did i mention it was cheap?  and good?

i blame tenren tea and chamalyn for my recent obsession with fresh boba milk tea. i blame quickly mart for rekindling my obsession with fresh boba tea FROM somewhere else (like tenren tea and chamalyn). maybe the fact that I've had fresh boba has elevated my expectations. don't get me wrong, I love Quickly! especially their 2 for 1 specials on avocado snow and papaya snow (both of which I consumed heavily this past summer and both sans boba); HOWEVER, their boba is an aBOmination so don't BOther with it if you're expecting the BOmb 'cause it will be more like, um a mere fizz compared to, you guessed it, tenren tea and chamalyn! oh and I did try an order of fried tofu (18 pieces for $2.75) which was a good reprieve from my mexican food laden days. ask for a to go pack of chili oil to dip the tofu in and voila! "healthy" snack!
