the service here almost destroys everything. on weekends the lines are long and theres never more than one or two people working.... 15 minutes for boba? you are no philz coffee!

Back in the days when I was young I'm not a kid anymore
but somedays I sit and wish I was a kid again

so I come to quickly and pretend it's Fantasia, get a pearl tea tapioca thing and some fries and shoot tapioca balls at my friends like it's 7th grade again. Not the same but it's nice to kick it old school once in a while.

I don't like how crowded and rude people are to anyone non asian but this is their world of bubble teas and shrimp balls and who am I to judge. I just love that sound the balls make when you shoot them out of a giant straw.

Taro slush milk tea w/taro pudding and tapioca balls = $4.11.

It was my first time ordering their taro milk tea. They use the powdered stuff. No fresh taro here. Yes, I asked. $.50 extra for taro pudding (which tasted like nothing at all, IMO) and $.50 extra for tapioca balls (those balls were kinda hard in my mouth. "That's what she said." Ha!)

I wish the taro flavor was a little stronger. It tasted too plain and watery. Thanks Daniel L., now I know how to tell the difference between fresh taro and the powdered stuff! I'm a future "boba snob" in training.  =)

Not so "Bobalicious."

What can I say about this place other than it's overrated like no other. I admit that I am biased because my friend worked at the Double Rainbow here before this dreaded chain moved in but I had to try it out after all. Considering what tapioca is I am amazed to see how expensive this stuff is. Add to the fact that people are willing to pay 4 bucks a pop is absolutely crazy! All of their drinks are either pre-made or made artificially so I never feel like my drink is actually fresh. I admit that the place is quite clean and the workers are amazingly nice but that can't save the fact that we lost a mom and pops shop to a chain business that only got their license because they had to bribe former District Supervisor Ed Jew.

To add insult to injury I still cannot fathom what the hell fro-yo is. I know it's suppose to be "frozen yogurt" but why not just call it that?! I guess having great places like Pinkberry and Yogurtland has really got me thinking passionately about the things I like to eat. I never knew that there is a "new generation" in yogurt. I try my best not to come here anymore unless I'm forced to. It would be in your best interests to go across the street to Wonderful Foods. You'll feel much better in the long run.

Friend wanted Boba but there wasn't any non chain stores around. They did not have the tea my friend wanted nor the egg cake things my other friend wanted. They both ordered something else. I got the yogurt with strawberries and mochi. The mochi was a weird shade of yellow and all stuck together. The guy didn't speak very good English either...

OMFG, bad decision of the day,

So I had just finished dinner at Chabaa, not bad, not bad...

Feeling some yogurt. Tutti or Quickly? It's right across the street so whatever.

How bad can you screw up frozen yogurt?

BAD. I really need to manage my risks better.

The yogurt wasn't good, it was passable. But the toppings?
Holy jeebus shazznuts, the fruit was old and disgusting.

Rule of thumb, if you can't see the actual toppings, don't order anything perishable.

I poured that shat out into the trash right in front of Miss cashier girl.

No hard feelings, but at 14 yrs old or whatever you are.. here's a hint. If the fruit is bad, don't serve it to your customer.

Ok, she probably follows orders from some Quickly's slavemaster, and I don't want her to get whipped or anything.

Just go to Tuttimelon

ALWAYS BUSY.... I think the only time I've been into the store and they weren't busy was on a Sunday night at 10pm.

BUT... I am a boba tea fan so I'm willing to wait the 10 minutes in line for my Honey Milk Tea with Boba or my Taro Milk Tea with Boba... YUMZ IN MY TUMZ!

Marin needs to open up a Quickly... I miss my boba :(

On a more store cleanliness note - do not buy food from there.  Have had bad experiences with bugs.

I remember the big fuss about this place when it first opened(look at the pics posted). They were cheaper($0.59 milk tea) for the first 6 months or so they can cause the original tapioca place next door to close down. The drinks always seem to be watered down or too overflowing with crushed ice. I always experienced hit or miss with quicklys but this one is always a miss.

All I gotta say is cockroaches. Every place probably has them but the fact that you see them during business hours can only mean this place has 10x more. I regret every cup of milk tea I had here. BARF.

I feel kinda bad though, the student guy working here is cool...Not sure about everyone else involved with the place lol.

I have this love/hate relationship with Quickly. The fact that Quickly is a franchised chain is one of the reasons it's a total hit or miss. I love some, hate others and this one sadly will be one of those that will remain hated.

I found myself parked remarkably close to the Tuttimelon and the Quickly so standing between the two, I felt drawn to the Quickly because there was no line. The fro yo taste factor took a backseat to the fact I wanted that fro yo in my tummy quicker so convenience beat quality.

I promptly walked up the line and there was an older middle aged man leaning against the counter chewing on some gum. I'm used to there being someone in the back taking care of the kitchen aspect of the kitchen while the young teenager takes care of the mixing of the drinks so it didn't phase me at all when he keeps leaning against the counter chewing gum and watching the girl work. In the back of my head though, I had to wonder why he couldn't tend to the register or at least help her out with drinks so SHE could do something else.

Eventually, the girl came back after handing the one person in front of took their 12, count 'em 12 drinks. By this time, there was a 6 person line behind me and still only the one girl taking care of both the money and the drinks. I prayed that no one wanted actually fried food or a bento box because I could have probably had lunch at the Japanese place next door then come back for the fro yo.

But I already placed the order so I sat down with a book and read about 3 chapters before my small fro yo with aloe appeared. I'm not knocking down stars for the food but more for the lack of movie videos on the 3 t.v.'s, the lack of staffing, and the fact that they keep discontinuing toppings and drinks off the menu. I'll be going to Tuttimelon next time for sure.

So I went to this quickly at around 1:00am last night, and I must say I remember why I disapprove of this Quickly.

As I walk in, its noticeably empty, with maybe 2 people sitting there sharing a drink. I was planning on ordering a drink or maybe some popcorn chicken as I enjoyed it from other locations in the past; however I was going to be the last to order (after my friends). They ordered some popcorn chicken, hot and cold milk teas.

As I sat down, and looked at the menu I notice something moving at the corner of my eye near the floor, and yes, you guessed it - a cockroach. That put me off a bit, and gave me second thoughts. Then as my eyes moved from the from the floor to the wall and cabinets, and they were everywhere. I looked at my other friends, and we just laughed in amazement.

The we asked why is this place so "dirty?" Look at the floor - dirty. It looks as if it has not been mopped for sometime. Dry dirt tracks, and even band-aids were sticking to the ground. Again, you could tell that this place does not have high standards. My advice, skip this Quickly's.

Basic Quickly establishment, but a little dirty. The place was busy when we arrived and we were desperate for boba, so  had no choice but to come here.

The milk tea was average, but I was dissapointed that their barley tea just has some barley ground up in it. I thought it would be barley flavored. Too bad for me.

I do want to say that the upside is that they have REALLY TASTY FRIES!
Recommended for your carby salty cravings. They are homemade style, fresh cut etc, but had a great taste. Maybe because they fry it in the same oil as the chicken nugget things. OMG, must have them again...

Bottom line; i found a freaking SCREW in my bubble milk tea.

One star; for giving my brother & I a HUGE scoop of fro-yo! for one night though..

&& lastly, I have learned from experience. If you get fro-yo, get a SMALL or a LARGE, not a MEDIUM. for medium, you get WAY less than you deserve. my brother also experienced that. so a small is worth it's price, and a large is too, but a medium is not.

Quickly's is terrible.

I have several friends who, for some unexplainable reason, are obsessed with the whole Ed Jew scandal, and I think that's the only awesome/funny/interesting thing about Quickly's.

Everything else is just so generic.

I mean, it's good if you want some tapioca and NOTHING comparable is within 10-minute walking distance.  Or if you're just lazy and it's the closest thing around, which is usually the case because Quickly's is EVERYWHERE you want it, or more likely, don't want it to be.

Anyway.  Oh Quickly's.  You's terrible.  Let me count the ways I hate you:
- Your service sucks.  Thanks for taking your slow-ass time.
- Your boba also sucks.  Doesn't have the chewiness it should have!
- Your popcorn chicken, which is supposed to be your MVP, tastes like batter and grease.  I ate some of that last night, and felt gross all night afterwards.  Where was the chicken?!
- Your color scheme is ugly.  I hate that orange.
- Your froyo is pretty gross, icy, and all-around terrible.
- You're everywhere.  I don't want to see you all the time!

So, in conclusion, Quickly's is bad-tasting, bad-service, bad in general.

Unless you're really craving some greasy small bites and any generic tapioca.  Then, it'll do.  But if you have any taste at all, don't come here!

Quickly should reconsider changing their name to Slowly.
Here's why...
Every Quickly I've been to (in SF) I've had to wait in a long line to order followed by a long time before I get my fro-yo or bubble drink.
The reason?
Because mostly there is ONLY ONE person working.
??? Quickly? ...Hm... :-/

As its name suggest, get in there "Quickly" and get the crap of this place!

"I'll have the almond tea, no finger nails please!"

Me calling Quickly's today.

"Just wanted to let you know, yesterday night I had a drink. Your boss was sitting in a table with his friend.  She was clipping her finger nails. Tell him it made me very uncomfortable."

"Snap, popple, and crack." This is meant for the sounds of a delicious bowl of cereal, and not someone clipping their nails.

After a fascinating display of bank shots and quick steals at evening basketball, I trekked over to Quickly's with my teammate.
There are not much options in the Sunset.

As my friend (J) mesmerized me with his adventurous account through Thailand. The poverty, the girls he had met, the vibrant scene of life.  Then,

"Snap."

"J, is she clipping her finger nails?"
I was outraged. One thing I hate is unsanitary conditions.

While drinking my almond tea to replenish my thirst and soothe my soul, the clipping sound of finger nails had simply crushed my mood and ambiance.

More to rant about.

Often times, the manager has a stone cold faced expression.
No "thank you" and not a hint of gracious "smile."

4 Top Tips to Increase Business without spending a Dime

4) Train your staff to ask for the name of your customers during their order. They do this at Jamba juice and Pinkberry.  This means you care.

3) Ask the customer for feedback.  "What is your favorite drink?" "How can we improve your experience?" "How was your weekend?"

2) I am an immigrant from Hong Kong. I understand that English may be an obstacle.  But, mom 'n pops need to understand that this is a not a food business, but HOSPITALITY.  If the owners or workers don't speak English, use body language.  Smile, throw out some wacky two finger peace sign. Create some fun energy.

1) Leave your nail clipper at home!

Key to increase business = make your customers feel special

In return, this generates great word of mouth marketing.

As a well mannered person myself, these Chinese mom 'n pops don't help increase our profile.
Truth. In this economy, "YOU" the customer are king. "YOU" only have a rather short weekend to enjoy yourself.

My job, tell you places to AVOID so that you can save your money and avoid the chance of a finger nail spiking your drink or poking your eye ball.

"Quickly go in for cheap drink special, quickly dash out."

Judging from the other reviews, apparently people like giggles and smiles and bows and crap when they get served.

Popcorn chicken took 10 minutes to make, came out over fried & dry.  Gah-ross.

On occasion, I'll order peach snow w/ lychee jelly.

Eggettes or Quicklys?
Quickly ONLY wins if I'm craving their fried chicken.

One time, I ordered passionfruit green tea with lychee and pineapple chunks. They gave me a milk tea with lychee and pineapple chunks. I told them to fix it. Let me tell you what they did...they strained the lychee and pineapple chunks out and tossed it into a new cup and proceeded to add in passionfruit green tea juice. Excuse me? What if I'm lactose? Or allergic? All thoes lychee and pineapple chunks are coated with milk. That could be a potential law suit.

Quicklys, you're DUMB.

I came in for my $2 bubble tea the other day, and noticed that they're serving froyo now -- so how could I not?  A small was about $0.50 and 3 toppings were about $1.50, so it's $2 for a froyo?  A great deal.  The yogurt itself was a little bit stiff (not overly frozen, but just not enough liquid in it) and slightly icy.  After I got the Quickly froyo, I noticed that there was a Tuttimelon on the same block -- let the froyo wars begin!

I go here because I'm in the area every other week, and I don't get my fair share of boba.

I always get the almond milk tea with tiny tapioca.

I agree with everyone else that they are really slow about it. They don't have an efficient system, so as soon as the cashier takes your order, HE (or she) starts making your drink, which makes the line get longer and longer.

My drink always comes with 4 ice cubes, which kinda sucks because my supposedly cold beverage doesn't stay cold!

Long line, long wait and expensive drinks...but can anyone else recommend where I can get almond milk tea with tiny tapioca for better? Let me know!

This place is pretty gross.  I get a headache looking at the millions drinks, foods, and specials on the wall.  I do not order anything but the frozen yogurt here.  Who can beat 59 cents for it?  I thought that Tutti-Melon's 99cents was a crazy deal, but  this beats it, big time.

I say nay to the toppings because I like the plain yogurt itself, and the toppings are $1.50 (ripoff.. I should just walk across the street to the produce market and purchase a mango and two bananas)!  Or maybe I should just ask if they can double up my yogurt since it looks pretty much half empty in that large cup.

The consistency of the yogurt is thicker and creamier compared to Tutti-Melon.  It's quite good.. I believe it's from Dreyers.  If they didn't have the 59cents promo I don't think I'd make it over there.  Quickly lacks service and speed.  I'm not patient, esp when it takes all of 10 seconds to prepare a yogurt.

Quickly's, you suck.

I've never enjoyed the tapioca from this chain to begin with (go to Wonderful Foods just a block away), and then they just put me over the top when I read an advertisement for their Irving location in which they claim their fro-yo is better than Tuttimelon's and then went on to print that Tutti's lacks any pro biotic cultures/other nutrients found in fro-yo. Um, wow, you should only be so lucky that you haven't been slapped with a libel case for that. Seriously though . . . jealous, much? Just because the hoards of fobs have migrated elsewhere, you don't have to shit talk other businesses.

That just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, as if your drinks and service already didn't do that to begin with.

I gotta say I'm not much of a Quickly fan. Their drinks are not as great as other boba places I've been to.  I used to like Quickly few years ago until I discovered Eggettes and other boba places around the bay area.

As for this specific Quickly store, I think this is the worst Quickly I've been to.  It's slow as heck most of the time since there seems to be only one person working there everytime I go there.  Then their Mango and Coconut Delight sucks because they smash it all up instead of stacking the different flavors into tiers like the one at Millbrae on El Camino.  Their boba isn't all that bad though but I wish they give more ice sometimes since the drinks never seem to be cold enough.

The only reason I come here to get boba is because they still have their milk tea specials for really cheap and their milk tea isn't too bad.  If I'm around Irving and crave for boba, I would come here but otherwise I try to go other places.

My review is JUST for the frozen yogurt (the boba and snacks are DECENT).

The frozen yogurt is no good - but for 59 cents, what do you expect. Fruit toppings look a little old, the granola is bland and almost like dry instant oatmeal, consistency is ok but there isn't the creaminess I expected.

Go to tuttimelon instead.

Their $.59 new fro-yo will get you in the door, but their service is questionable.  There's a cashier that we see every week that seems so unhappy to work there.  It's okay if you look sad, but you better have a good story!

The good news is that we don't really go to a Chinese-owned establishment for service.  As a matter of fact, you should NEVER go to a Chinese-owned establishment for service.  That is not their strength.  Actually, it's not even in their skill set.  Chinese people are good at three things: saving money, not spending money, and driving efficiency so others can save money.  But we digress...

Their milk tea is... well, milk tea.  It's a chain so they can't do wrong on the bone juice.  We haven't tried their food, so we'll leave the review about their drinks and yogurt.

Back to the yogurt-- they skimp on the portions.  If you get a topping for $.95 like raspberries, be prepared for a counting lesson.  Yes, you will count the number of raspberries in your cup because you'll need to savor every bite.  Raspberry counts for the last three visits: 5, 7, 6.  Then again, we can't complain for $1.50 yogurt.  It's not as tart as Tuttimelon, so if you're looking to pucker up, this isn't your fro-yo.  And yes, the rumor is true, it is Dreyer's fro-yo... give your money to the ice cream conglomerate.

Great place for fobs, middler schoolers, fobs, high schoolers and fobs.

Yeah I'd come in here every once in a while because it's convenient. My usual is the Jasmine Green tea with small tapioca. It's cheap...1.99? hell yea, you got me.

Too bad their service sucks. How is it possible that the 3rd person after you is able to get their popcorn chicken, taro tapioca and lychee slush first before I get my ONE drink? BULL!

and EVERY SINGLE TIME I walk in there, I always see a frown on one of the girls' face....What, you don't like taking my order? Are you frowning at me?! I'll give you something to frown about!!

She must really hate working there.

Better service and better drinks at Wonderful Foods Co. I only go to Quickly's  when I have 3 bucks in my pocket.
