We went into this Spa today and had the best deep Tissue Massage I have ever had. My girl friend had amazing Mani and Pedi, with a great foot and lower calf rub!!! The staff was professional, caring, and they provided us with amazing customer service. I highly recommend this place if you want to soak in a nice lazy day at a Spa. Ask for Karolyn for the deep tissue, we will be coming back ASAP :)

I was left a little confused by my whole experience...

Went there with a friend and we arrived right on time. Granted we were not there 15 minutes early as they request on the site, but at least we weren't late. I think we were one of the first clients there. Both of us were getting 90 minute massages. My friend had a little Korean lady and I had an Indian guy. Neither of us received robes or slippers, but I did get to use the loo before my massage. The locker room area was pretty bare bones.

Go into the room and the masseuse tells me to put my stuff in the corner so he "doesn't get oil on it". Umm, why would you get oil on my stuff? I soon discover why... As I'm laying down, I hear him pour the oil in his hands... Then I hear him rub his hands together vigorously, feeling the oil splatter all over. Ah, that's what he means...

Okay, maybe that was for dramatic effect. I get it. But he kept adding oil every so often... I have never been so lubed up in my entire life. Seriously.

I mentioned that my areas of concern were my upper back and shoulders. This was supposed to be a Swedish massage, but when he worked on those areas it was very fast and choppy. I assume this is what a Shiatsu massage must feel like? It wasn't very relaxing... In fact, I was starting to stress out and almost asked him to take it down... I'm assuming that was his way of working out my kinks, which he did. When he got to my legs, it was the typical relaxing Swedish technique.

Throughout the massage, he did ask if the pressure was okay, which I appreciated.

Okay, the massage ends right? I told you I was all oiled up, right? Normally they would wipe the residual oil off with a wet towel, right? Or even just give you a towel so you can do it yourself, right? Not this time. He thanked me and left the room, leaving me to wonder how I was going to get to the locker room shower in my greased up state.

Luckily there were some towels in the room so I used one to wipe myself off. But remember, I didn't get a robe, so I had to put on my clothes in order to step outside. He was waiting for me outside and I asked if there was a shower in the locker room. He seemed confused that I asked to use a shower, so I said "I need to take one because I'm still really oily!". He then let me use the shower room. Maybe you need to pay extra to use it (they didn't charge me), but YOU SHOULD'VE WIPED ME OFF IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Amenities were bare bones, but because it is a place where you are in and out, I didn't expect anything fancy. The shower gel did smell like Dial though.

My friend said her masseuse used a lot of oil as well, but she was toweled off. She quite enjoyed her experience. My massage was fine, but like I said, I was left... confused... by the entire experience.

Not a bad place, but I have had better spa experiences. The employees are all really nice and they all mean well.

    PROS:

They have WONDERFUL specials and packages. If you can get ahold of them the experience is definetly worth the price.

Friendly employees with good attitudes. They were very willing too help out with anything and had friendly conversations.

Their rooms where clean and the locker room was nice. Also what's so great is they have all you can need in one little spa: nails, hair, massages, jacuzzi, etc.

    CONS:

PARKING IS HORRIBLE! Circles for at least 20 minutes trying to find a spot on a weekday.

The facialist talks alot and tries to sell you products when you were trying to relax.

Also, in the middle of my services they forgot about me and I ended up waiting for over 40 minutes which was a little frustrating, but I guess they didn't know (which I find sort of ridiculous).

I asked for someone strong at the front desk and they gave me a very nice massuese but she left me hurting at the end of the session since she wasn't very famaliar with deep tissue. I feel bad for her because I know she was trying but I wish they would have just given me someone else that could do what I asked and paid for.

OVERALL, A GREAT SPA EXPERIENCE FOR THE SPECIAL PACKAGE PRICE =)

My husband and I went here for our anniversary for a little pampering. We got a couples massage in a nice room and the massages were great. I was 8 months pregnant and thought she would be too gentle and afraid of really getting into my sore muscles, but she was great and really focused on all the areas that were bothering me. Both my husband and I were so relaxed and could of fallen asleep.

Got a travelzoo voucher for myself and a friend for QSB based on the reviews and the deal, which included a hot stone massage, rainforest facial, and lunch, for $99.  Headed up to SB from L.A. on a Friday for a 1pm appt.  It was a little tricky to find, because it's sort of hidden in this big shopping center, but I was pleasantly surprised at the design and space inside.  Water fountains trickling, lots of plants, a huge skylight, sitting areas... it was very inviting, rich and spa/calm-like.   The receptionist and masseuse who greeted us were wonderful and very personal.  While my friend loved his massage, mine was just alright, but I am used to more vigorous massages.  I do think he got the better masseuse.  Lunch was a salad and a glass of wine at the "bar", which was probably the area where they could use some improvement.  The salad was something you would pick up at a grocery store or deli, and the wine was just okay.  A little awkward sitting at the bar... would have been nicer to have a little table and chairs.  The facials were the BEST part... my person ROCKED, she was awesome, and my friend loved his too.  We both felt so incredibly refreshed and wonderful after that.   All together, it was a very good experience.   Love the staff.

I came here with a large group (9 girls) for my sister's bachelorette weekend. They were able to accommodate all of us at the same time in our own treatments rooms. As a group we had a variety of services ranging from manicures and facials to various massages and soaks. Everyone seemed satisfied with their service. The staff was very nice and accommodating and I was even able to negotiate a 15% discount on services since our party was so large.

Like most day spas, there is only a small locker room to store your belongings and shower (I believe), but that is the extent of their spa facilities. They do however have sauna/steam rooms and hot tubs in particular rooms. If you're looking for something fancy, dig a little deeper in your wallet and head over to Burke Williams...otherwise this is a great option given the price, service, and staff.

This is by far one of the best day spas I have ever gone to! Since I work in the entertainment industry I am constantley needing pampering and they really know what they are doing....

The Hot Stone massage was by far outrageous! I felt very relaxed and rejuvenated. I wanted to try thier facials but didnt have time as I was late to a photoshoot...So that will be my next splurge.

This spa is a little pricey but well worth the money so I would reccommend it to friends and family.

Have been going here for several years. I find that it is clean and well managed. The massages and facials are pleasant. I always feel revived after leaving this spa. Nice that they can usually fit me in to their schedule at the last minute. Ask for their specials.

This spa is in a great location, very easy to find parking.  The spa is beautiful.  They have state of the art equipment that isn't found at some other spas.  Everything is very professional. I got a clearlight acne treatment awhile back when i had bad acne, and it has completely cleared it.  I used to have a lot of pimples and blackheads and bumps, but this procedure uses a light or whatever to shrink your pores.  That was years ago, and my skin is STILL nice. I ALWAYS get compliments on my skin.  They use the best products here, like dermalogica and yonka.  This is definitley one of santa barbara's hidden gems.

My mom and I wanted to get a spa treatment during our Santa Barbara vacation.  I was drawn to this place by their 'eco-friendly spa' advertising.  This place is in a mini-mall so I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised.  My mom and I went here for Chinese foot baths/massages.  The manager did a fantastic job at explaining the foot bath/massage options and making sure we were comfortable (even offering to dim the lights to make it more relaxing for us).  They have 2 foot bath chairs next to each other so we could talk during the foot soaking part.  The décor there is maybe a bit dated (have a Greek bathhouse theme going on), but for me that's not really the important part... the important stuff for me is the quality of the service and serenity of the environment, which this establishment does an excellent job of achieving.  If it'd had more time, I definitely would've gotten a body massage here too.
