Great people great food.
I for one find it really refreshing to see family run businesses still around. I love getting dinner here.
They are always extra nice. The food isn't frozen first...and it's not a chain.
As Sarah D said the prices cannot be beat...they have Family Specials that don't exceed 22 bucks...one of them includes wings, a pizza, two cheese steaks or hoagies and a 2 liter of soda. (My choice when company wants junk food).
Not to mention...they have turkey burgers for when I'm in no mood for red meat.
Makes me happy...check it out if you're in the 'hood and want some junk food. The kids will entertain you while you wait!
I live in the neighborhood - which is not low income considering it's in Queen Village for crying out loud - and get dinner from here on occasion. It's dirt cheap and the prices cannot be beat. The pizza is pretty good - I like it better than Napoli, which is nearby. The pasta dishes definitely leave something to be desired. I ordered baked ziti and it was dry stuck together noodles with canned tomato sauce spooned on top (not mixed in) and a sprinkling of mozzarella cheese. Where was the ricotta, folks? Also, definitely not the type of pizza joint where you sit down and enjoy your slice. They do deliver and if you live within walking distance the owner's ten year old son will drop it off.
This little corner eatery is on the brink of a low-income housing neighborhood. It isn't the nicest spot, and you shouldn't eat in, but I do recommend the fries if you are walking by. They are awesome huge steak fries. . . worth the $1.
I definitely woudn't consider this a 'bad' area. It's right on fabric row and in Queen Village. Two of us grabbed lunch there - sandwiches, onion rings, fries and two drinks and it was less than $14. It was a great deal and the food was tasty. My friend got a cheesesteak...and while it definitely wasn't Pat's or Geno's, it hit the spot. I got a grilled sandwich and enjoyed it a lot. A pizza was just coming out of the oven and looked really good - will definitely try it when I next visit/order from QV Pizza. The woman behind the counter was really sweet too. It's a mom and pop joint, so I say frequent them, so they don't disappear and all we're left with is Applebees and Chili's!! Ugh!!
