I have been seeing Dr. Sarah 2-3 times a week for the past 3 months or so and it's been AMAZING. I work hunched over clients all day as a skin care professional and I use my hands a lot and when I started seeing Dr. Sarah I was experiencing numbness in my arms and mid back. Since going for adjustments the pain and numbness is gone. The front desk staff is warm and friendly and every time I walk in the door I am greeted as if I'm part of an extended family. The folks really know their bedside manner all across the board. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
SIMPLY AWESOME!!! -

I went to Queen Anne Chiropractic Center twice to have my back adjusted and after the second visit, I never went back. With another yelper that left a review, I was give 3-4 VIGOROUS adjustments and I was done. Each time I got done, I felt like I was going to pass out or throw up. I have never felt that way before after being adjusted and I knew after the second one that that was it. The doctor I saw never really told me what he was doing or why he was doing it. He just came in, had me assume a position that he needed, adjusted me and left. There was no room for questions, concerns...nothing.
If you can, and have the time, I would do a little more research for a chiropractor. -

This January 1st I joined the ranks of people with health insurance for the first time as an adult, and none too soon as I'd developed a wicked case of sciatica as a result of a rather pronounced spinal curviture (that being the result of lower back injury involving a coffee table, lots of alcohol and a friend with a lower center of gravity than my own). If you're not familiar with sciatica, that's a good thing, hope you never become so, but suffice to say it's pain on a level I've never experienced: unrelenting and unbearable.
My first day of coverage I went in to see Dr. Darrel Gibson after seeing the reviews here on Yelp and I simply asked him to help me. Two solid months of adjustments later I was a changed man. I went from being unable to walk, sneeze, cough, sleep, sit, fart or fuck without severe pain, to feeling no pain at all. It's been a month and a half since my last adjustment (insurance gone again) and I'm ready to play basketball again. In terms of qulaity of life, then and now are night and day, light years apart.
I can't say enough about how grateful I am about the transformation. Dr. Gibson is way cool, willing to chit chat about anything, he always put me at ease and he'll teach you all you want to know about the history of Buffalo Springfield and/or Neil Young. His kids are both good as well but it seemed to me that Gibson Sr. was more adept at getting all the proper vertebrae to crack. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who needs, or is interested in getting, some chiropractic help.
Front staff rocked too. I would occasionally come in way early for my appointment and I was always seen in a timely manner. Plenty of free on-street parking available as well... -

I've only been to QA Chiro once, so i hesitate to give it all five stars. I have a feeling that I'll go ahead and fill in that last one after a couple more visits though.
I had a massage with Shannon on Saturday and it was great. I sit at a desk all day typing and when I get stressed, I hunch my shoulders up a lot. So, I'm tense pretty much all the time. in addition to loosening all of that up to make me more comfortable, I also want a massage to help me relax all over. I got what I was looking for.
I really liked Shannon right off the bat. She had a very calm presence while being informative and to the point. Also, she didn't let my past back surgery scare her, which I really appreciate.
Huge plus: they take Aetna, my insurance! And the two ladies I've met at the front desk were super pleasant and friendly.
One frustration: it's been difficult for me to get appointments. They definitely do their part to make it easier, though, offering appointments into the evenings and on Saturday morning. I'm stoked to go back for my second massage, just wish that it was coming sooner. This, of course, is just a testament to how good these guys are! -

You want a kick ass adjustment from a super awesome team of chiropractors PLUS the nicest front desk staff EVER?
Then you need to get your sorry, crooked ass spine into Queen Anne Chiropractic.
They are delightful and very very good at what they do - ie: making sure Lily walks w/o looking like she has a stick up her arse as well as making her feel taller AND getting rid of her headaches.
There you go. Brutal honesty.
That is all.Listed in: My Neighborhood

I was in a bad way and hadn't had chiropractic treatment for more than a year. My back was hurting and after reading the reviews on Yelp I picked Queen Anne Chiropractic for my emergency treatment. Since then they've worked with me to get back on track as quickly as possible. I work with Sarah as my doctor mostly, but this awesome family practice has a lot to offer no matter which doctor you see.
I also get massages here and they are great about working with my insurance for both services. I can't say enough good things!
EDIT: I have been seeing Carly for massages and she is AWESOME. Ask for her by name!Listed in: My Old Neighborhood

I have been going here for years. But what has impressed me most is the friendly - name remembering - staff! After I had moved away from QA for a year, I came back and they totally still knew my name!
Aside from that, Dr. Gibson is superb! He will do a quick adjustment or spend extra time explaining procedures and solutions for all those aches and pains. -

Dr. Graeme Gibson is absolutely, hands down, the best chiropractor that I have ever had the privilege to work with.
I went in with a myriad of issues (I was a skeptical pain in the rear) and he has gone above and beyond to explain, in a very positive way, what I can do to improve my health and many levels. Not only did he specifically explain to me what is going on with my spinal health, but my physical health all together. With his help, I have made some huge steps in taking ownership of my health and well being, he has helped me to achieve so much and leads by example.
He is gentle, and minimal in technique, and does not do more than is necessary to correct, and re-correct your alignment. Unlike other practices, he has never over-adjusted me. The normal misconception, is that a Chiropractic Doctor works only with the spine, but I have seen and felt improvements in my whole being. Talk about "Preventative Care". This is a one stop shop to wellness. Thank you Dr. Gibson!
I would like to speak to the whole demeanor of the office. I go in, and I am greeted by very friendly and highly professional staff. They certainly seem happy with what they are doing and that to me is a huge indicator of internal happiness within the office dynamic.
This is an outstanding group of people and they are very community minded to boot! A+++++ -

For folk who want a quick (i mean super quick 3-5min tops) adjustment this is your place. I've been in twice and both times received 4 adjustments and then was shuffled out. Both times I only saw the doctor for a few minutes. I understand that for some this method of chiropractic is useful, however, there are other chiropractors that will spend 20-30min with a client using a whole variety of techniques including massage, and I find those doctors much more appealing and their results more sustainable. I won't be going again but have found a practitioner that spends some quality time working on my back, and it really makes a difference.

I have only been coming for about a month and I already feel a difference in my back. Less pressure and pain. Adjustments feel great and massage therapy has been incredible!
Insurance covers most of my fees since I reached my deductible. Such a small price to pay for my back health.
Professional, friendly group here! -

I started going to the family practice that makes up the Queen Anne Chiropractic Center a few years ago, after a snowboarding accident that gave me the equivalent of whiplash.
I've kept going back periodically - in conjunction with physical therapy - and the experience is always the same: pleasant, professional and best of all, my back and neck feel better.
I've had adjustments with all 3 of the Gibsons and with all of them, I have the upmost confidence. The reception/check-out staff is also exemplary, always smiling and great at rescheduling (which I do often). -

There are many chiropractors to choose from in Seattle, but not many that actually care about their patients the way the Gibson family do. Not only are their adjustments excellent, but they make the visits fun with their terrific personalities and a great sense of humor. Best of all, their rates, should your insurance not cover adjustments, are very reasonable.

I have had back problems for years and have seen a number of chiropractors in the past. Review of the Yelp ratings indicated positive ratings for the practice so I saw Dr. Darrell Gibson following onset of pretty bad neck pain that didn't go away after 2 weeks. I was able to get an appointment promptly and the staff and Dr. Gibson were very courteous.
I was very disappointed that following a examination of my x-ray and some kind of musculoskeletal evaluation with a rolling thing down my spine of a prognosis that I would require life-long care and should come in several times per week for adjustment. I was also told that I should not return to the gym for a good 6 months. I'm 30 years old- that is not a workable plan! Okay, my back is messed up, fine. I opted for an adjustment, though remained skeptical. Upon returning for my second appointment, Dr. Gibson asked of my symptoms and proceeded to adjust me- all in all it took a minute- max. He didn't seem to look at my spine or even feel around to see what was out of alignment. When I asked if the adjustment was intended to fix the misalignment, he said yes. He then got offended when I asked how he knew it was working- "that's what I do" he said. I didn't go back. Soon after, I got a form letter stating that careful assessment from my previous visit indicated that I better return for further care.
Nice people, but I can't help but think that this is a money pit and that the diagnostic process is questionable.Comment from Graeme G. of Queen Anne Chiropractic Center 3/1/2011

Can't beat their flexibility with appointments. Walk-ins are always welcome. I've been adjusted by all of the doctors and they were all fabulous. The staff is very kind and friendly. Would recommend to anyone!

I went to Queen Anne Chiropractic for an acute problem and at first was treated very cordially and the care and interaction I received from both the front end staff and Dr. Sarah Gibson was very friendly and efficient. They seemed to care about my symptoms and my treatment. I continued to see them for a time and then was unable to continue due to a variety of reasons. I then experienced another acute attack that required another visit. Thus the reason for the two star rating. I called in the morning on a Tuesday to schedule an appointment and left a message for a return call if they could schedule an appointment for the following Thursday. I received a call back, alright and set up an appointment for Thursday. All is well, right? Think again!! I get a call that sameTuesday evening at around 6:30pm telling me that I had missed that days appointment at 11:00 AM!! Imagine my surprise. A virtual impossibility seeing as how they didn't call me back until 11:30 on that day!! I then kept my scheduled appointment on Thursday and received a very cool reception from Dr. Sarah Gibson. Kudos to the front end staff as they were just as friendly as ever. the doctor, however, seemed like she couldn't have cared less whether I was there or not. A very cool reception and I got the feeling as if I was just another in the production line of chiropractor treatment. Was not a pleasant experience at all. And my acute problem? By the end of the day.....it was still there. Will I go back? Perhaps for one more visit. We'll see if the "treatment" improves. If not, I will not bother to go back.
