we went here for thanksgiving! it was one of the only places open that sound good so we thought we would try it out.
the place was packed! (good sign)
the food rocked. the cheese puffs were wonderful, the deep-fried sweet-potato/shrimp was to die for!
everyone except me ordered pho. they were all happy except for my friend who ordered the meatball soup. he said the meatballs were flavorless but the broth was awesome.
i ordered the shrimp and onion with broken rice....so good! i was satisfied!
who says you have to eat turkey on thanksgiving! i am thankful for delicious ethnic food - that is what our country is all about anyway.
the service was great too. our server was so cute and friendly and the food came out unbelievably fast!
i didn't use the bathroom so i guess i cant yelp this one :)
The sandwiches are delicious.
The pho is delicious (and like some other Pho places in the area, the noodles aren't in a solid lump in your bowl).
The spring rolls are delicious.
The prices rule.
I only wish it were open on Tuesdays.
I have only had take out. Which was exactly as I wished it would be.
Highlights:
The wonton and meatball soup (2 different soups) both have a crazy good broth.
The pork banh mi is freaking addictive.
Super cheep price makes my wallet happy and the food makes my tummy happy.
Amused by the manderine drink they have there that is basically the pulpy left overs of a manderine orange cup or can with its left over juice too.
Flan was pretty good too.
Bummers:
Closed on Tuesday
Not open super late during the week. (seems like perfect late night food if you ask me)
Wish they delivered (then I could slack on my couch and still eat yummy making food).
This place is pretty good for Vietnamese food esp in the MSP area. In places like Texas and California, the food is incredible, but for the great white North I think this place is pretty decent, especially considering the quality of food available 20 years ago.
Ice coffee is OK, probably best in the state. The crushed rice plates are pretty good, but again in the Western US and Southern US you can definitely find better and cheaper.
I had the vermicelli with pork meatballs and it was pretty good, not the best I ever had, but still pretty decent.
I think this place proves that if you're Vietnamese and in the Twin Cities you definitely won't starve.
this place isn't a five star restaurant, but the restaurant definitely deserves five stars for what it has-- quality service with a smile, excellent, yummy tasting, hot food, a good selection, and affordable prices.
i got the shrimp and onion with broken rice. mmm.... it was so good i finished everything. the sauce was so saucy and tasty and sweet and tangy and salty like vietnamese food is suppose to be.
i loved QUANG. thank you.
I'd heard good things about Quang's pho from several people, and was not disappointed. The Vietnamese iced coffee was good too, but the real deal here are the banh mi sandwiches. Delicious. I like the combination sandwich: just the right amount of meat and pickled vegetables, and their pate is really good too. It's a $2.50 lunch that can't be beat. And although they've been crazy busy every time I've been (Sunday mornings and weekday lunch hours), it's pretty easy to just pick up a pre-made sandwich at the counter.
They also sell fabulous banh bao (steamed buns filled with pork and egg) for $2, and these are the big ones, with just the right ratio of bun to meat. They're premade and kept warm, and make another good, quick lunch to go.
If you do go to Quang's just be aware that there is limited parking, although there is now additional parking in the dentist's lot on the other side of the building. There is street parking as well, but that's always scarce along Eat Street.
Bun Thit, Cha Gio, the beef and egg roll vermicelli salad is a masterpiece, unrivaled for lunch or dinner by anything else in this world. Sure, it's probably bad for you. Yeah, you're getting a heap of salad, noodles, beef, and sliced egg roll. Holy crap, is it delicious.
Try their strawberry bubble tea with it.
Go home ridiculously full and happy.
Step 1 - everyone bring $10
Step 2 - everyone order an app. Make sure someone gets the spring rolls - they're one of my faves.
Step 3 - everyone order an entree - there are so many choices, leave time to peruse the menu (pho is okay, salads are pretty good)
Step 4 - look at a table full of food that could feed 20 people. Wonder how you could possibly eat it all. Then get to work.
Step 5 - get change from your server, because this place is so cheap for the insane amount of food you just saw.
Step 6 - start rounding up friends for your next trip. And dig change out of the car seat for next time.
Great value. Great food. Atmosphere is great for people watching since there are no barriers and it attracts a lot of different groups- families, couples, lots-o-Asians which is always a good sign, hipsters. Good food knows no boundaries!
It's one of my favorites to go when I want something cheap, big portions (usually I have lunch the next day), and I don't want to worry if it will be good.
Most of the reviews seem to be spot on: good not great, consistent, good value. I like the Pho, and I can get spring rolls as well for roughly $10, which I find very reasonable. The grilled beef and egg roll salad is a fav of my wife and daughters.
Oh, and they also like the lime-aid here.
This has to be the best Vietnamese on Eat Street. I think it's terribly consistent, everything I've had on their menu is perfect, cooked very quickly, they have perfect portion size, and is always hot and fresh. The hazelnut bubble tea here is also CRAAZY good. Gotta try. My absolute favorite is #304 Carmelized shrimp over broken rice. You won't be disappointed. I promise.
Back in the day, when I was a card-carrying mid-westerner, I too worshipped at the alter of Quang, cuz I'm a registered Vietnamese food snob & my Mom is a terrible teacher:
Recipe? What recipe?
You know, how do you make it?
Erm...I just throw it together in the pot?
[long pause. sigh.]
Well, at least tell me what the ingredients are.
Oh...well, I just use whatever leftovers you have in the refrigerator.
[arrrrrrrrrgggh!!!]
I do miss the days when there were more yellow homies, fewer yuppies, & cheaper prices but given the fact that the quality of the food & complex tastes have remained true I can't really grouse...much. Despite not being much of a soup fan & the sticky summer heat I couldn't stop myself from slurping down the Mi hoanh thanh (wonton soup with egg noodles garnished with chives floating in a slurpalicious savory light broth). And don't forget the scrumptious cha gio (spring rolls) with a lovely melding of flavors--ground pork, shredded carrots, shredded cabbage, crispety wrapper, & accompanying ambrosial nuoc chum with just the perfect ratio of fish sauce, sweetness, & tart zesty goodness. [drool]
At this point I would have given them the 5th star BUT the bun thit nuong (noodle salad with grilled pork) was rather disappointing. I'm all for innovation but that means that it should be better than the standard. Using a lean, thin-cut pork chop instead of the traditional thinly sliced pork shoulder or pork butt may cater to the health conscious but unless you're really careful with your cooking times or have a stellar marinade, you may be better off starting up your own Jimmy Choo factory. Dry, dry, dry & stiff with just a little give; great for supporting those arches but not so much for its digestive qualities.
Next time the asian invasion exchange program hits town we'll have to make a stop...& if someone were to place some com tam tom (broken rice with grilled shrimp, hopefully on sugarcane skewers) or com tam suong nuong (broken rice with grilled pork chop) in front of me they better make sure that their appendages aren't anywhere near my mouth! [chomp]
Was very excited to finally hit this place... I do love me some banh mi. Ended up kinda disappointed, though.
Did take-out. The restaurant itself isn't fancy by any stretch but it is bright and clean, with an attached parking lot (always nice). The staff is exceedingly friendly and there's a pleasant little bench area where you can wait for your take-out food. Service was fast and efficient, I had my grilled chicken banh mi and spring rolls within ten minutes.
I arrived home and excitedly tore the paper wrapping off the banh mi. Took my first bite and was... underwhelmed. The crispy crunch I'd been anticipating didn't materialize. The baguette was soft. Not just the end, the entire thing. And there were barely any jalapenos or cilantro. So I was left with a soft, bland sandwich. How sad.
On a positive note, there was a generous amount of moist and yummy grilled chicken. And the spring rolls were quite tasty. I just didn't get the transcendental banh mi experience I'd been hoping for. Maybe I'll go back and try the pho. Alternatively, it looks like they offer banh cuon on the weekends; if I can remember, I'll head back and get a taste of that. I definitely plan on trying Lu's, across the street. I'll satisfy my banh mi jones yet...
I stopped in for a quick lunch, I was in the mood for some Pho and I heard this was a place to check out.
The Pho was good, something like $7 for a pretty large bowl. I've had better, but this is good. I had some spring rolls as well. Again they were good, but I've certainly had better.
There is a new trend of drinking Bubble Tea that I am a little behind the ball on, so I tried my first sample at Quang's. A cup cost $3.50, but I was pleasantly surprised. I got the Chai Tea flavored version. It was a sweet refreshing drink with maybe 2 dozen small round fruit like balls. They give you a very wide straw, so you can suck the fruit balls through the straw. I'd recommend that you check out the Bubble Tea.
Quang's is one of my favorite restaurants. I looked through all my reviews to see if I had written about it before, but nope it's not there, so here it is.
I recently picked up some banh mi sandwiches to take with to the Twins vs. Yankees game, and was reminded why I continue to go to Quang's over and over and over again. The sandwiches were tasty and they're not cheap on the stuffings. I know there are trendier ways to stuff the sandwiches now, but I like the original pate, and it's really good here. It was a great alternative to the dome dog and other food options at the Dome.
My other favorites at Quang's are their wonton soup and grilled pork balls. The pho is always a good bet. Quang's is a great value for your money - good quality and quantity. Service is quick, and friendly most of time.
I'm from the mecca of Vietnamese food, Orange County and being Vietnamese myself, I think i know a thing or two.
I recently moved to the Twin Cities and of course i had to sample what my new environs had to offer. My family and I ate at Quang's per a recommendation from a family friend. I had the Bun Bo Nuong Cha Gio (Rice Vermicelli "salad" [I've never heard it described like that before] with grilled beef and eggrolls) which is a favorite of mine. I have to say, i found it to be even more enjoyable than some of the places i have eaten at in Little Saigon. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the eggrolls were decent though i have never encountered a restaurant eggroll that was more than just decent. My dad had the com tam (broken rice) and it was pretty decent as well.
My brother ordered the Pho. Do not order the Pho here. Ugh, gross. If you like the pho here, then you've probably never had pho as it was supposed to taste. Devoid of that characteristic star anise flavor and the rich beefy body of pho broth, instead all that could be found there is grease and the lingering taste of MSG.
That's another thing. Quang's is known among the other restaurants to use a lot of MSG in their food. If you have a weak stomach, i'd go some place else.
BOTTOM LINE:
Rice Vermicelli "salad" and Broken Rice - Sure, go ahead
Pho - Stay home
$4.00 for a grilled chicken sandwich on a french baguette?? SOLD! As a poor student, I'm always down for an awesome bang-for-the-buck (or 4). They make these sandwiches everyday, but by evening, they tend to run out...well, at least the chicken sandwich.
Their pho is also a pretty sweet deal too.
Quite tasty. I've heard it mentioned several times but never got around to going until recently.
Generally, I take into account the ethnicity of the clientele as an indication of how good/authentic the place is. Since I was the only person who wasn't Asian in the restaurant...and it was quite crowded, I figured they must be doing something right.
Sorry if that comment above is somehow misconstrued as racist by some uber PC bot looking for things to be offended about, cuz it isnt.
Anyway yeah....delicious food, excellent service, etc etc. I would go back for certain.
Everybody says 'go to Quang, go to Quang!'. Now, it's not bad. It's bright and has the tacky Asian decor so it seems authentic, but there is just something lacking about this place. I only had a bowl of pho and it was alright, if not a little oily. The prices weren't bad, the service was ok, but I much prefer Pho Tau Bay down the street. I'll go back to Quang if the former is closed.
It turns out Vietnamese comfort food comforts more than just the Vietnamese.
...
Hmm. I wonder how Quang would like my sauerkraut.
...
That's not a euphemism.
Killer Pho! Their beef broth was amazing and they will cure your worst hangovers. I like that sweet basil is provided to add to the soup instead of cilantro. Their egg rolls are as crispy as it can get. The service was fast and friendly as well. I had the beef pho and the egg rolls for $10, which is hard to beat in this economy. I will be a regular here. :)
FYI They are closed on Tuesdays!
Quang's was my go-to place for pho for a while, simply because everyone I know goes to Quang's for pho. Then I discovered some other places I like better so I haven't gone to Quang's in a while.
Regarding their pho, Quang's is pretty good. The pho tai comes with semi-raw slices of beef that cook up quickly in the hot broth. Some places that cater to non-Vietnamese tend to serve it all cooked, which ruins the experience. Like Anne M says, the broth can be oily. I also find that it can be a little too cinnamon-y.
Because of the high volume of pho they sell, you can tell they are trying to be efficient, but it kind of comes off negatively when you get their pho and spring rolls. The rice paper wrapping on the spring rolls are also always a little too dry, making the spring rolls stick together and the eating part a little chewier than I like.
Even though they come apart easily, the rice noodles come a little too clumped. There's also not really enough noodles compared to noodle soups that I've had else where. My parents are pretty skinny but eat A LOT, so they were disappointed by the amount of noodles. Noodles are cheap, so I'm not sure why they have so little in their regular size bowl.
Their banh mi are cheap. They are also one of the few places that include pate in their traditional banh mi, but it's a little skimpy. I feel I should start bringing in my own teeny can of pate whenever I order a sandwich.
My friend - who is my local authority on Vietnamese food because she is a foodie and Vietnamese - likes Quang's because they serve a more traditional pho broth. However, she warns that you should always get an itemized receipt because she's been overcharged for items. Like $1.85 for a $1.55 milk tea. Not a lot, but it's still shady. I don't know about this since I never ask for one, but I will when I go there next time.
Overall, Quang's is a reliable place to go. Service and food are decent, but if you want pho and spring rolls that are a little better, try going elsewhere.
Quang's is great. I love their pho, their spring rolls, and their banh mi sandwiches. The pho broth can vary from being spot on to being a bit oily. I've had enough good experiences here to keep coming back for the pho despite the few times I've had bad pho. The prices are great and the service is always decent.
I hate that this place is always so packed and the parking lot is too small and this part of Nicollet is too busy. Quang, I need you to open up another restaurant at the U of M.
Would have given them five stars, but the staff is so consistently rude. Food is great, but a bit too much MSG in everything. Love their food, especially the Mi Hoanh Thanh (wonton noodle soup).
Quangs: Best deal in town.
Ever since my first taste, I've had a consistent stream of Pho course though my veins. At the same time, about 10 years back, I tried my first spring roll. My opinion of food changed forever. I actually tasted the season of spring! Never thought that possible.
I've tried (more than once) almost every Vietnamese place on Eat Street (and a few in Frog Town) which I can find the entrance to. I always order their Pho and spring rolls. I've liked them all but not equally. I have 0 idea of what Quangs secret ingredient is. Might be the sprinkles of Love or MSG. Not sure but what ever it is, Quangs uses it with out restraint.
Jasmin Deli, Pho 79 all have special places in my stomach and I revisit them from time to time. Quangs, however, has me in its weekly grip. Eggrolls: Chrispy and so flavorful. Pho: rich broth, perfectly done noodles, basil, lime, and sprouts on the side. Spring Rolls: Soft and fresh with crispy greens inside and an addictive peanut dipping sauce. Chicken Wing App: Deep frying takes time compared to the rest but the best wings in town.
Weekend specials include one of the best soups ever born: The Sea Bass Soup. It desivers all capitol letters. Try it for under $8 and you'll understand. Also, a new menu item gave us another reason to keep up our weekly visits: the Grilled Ginger Salmon over Broken Rice. If you've tried their Grilled Marinated Chicken over broken rice, its the same great plate of food but Salmon and an entirely new flavor. Love it!
One thing I've learned though is that picking up To Go makes a big difference in food experience. If you dine in, things are fast, very fresh, and service is great. By the time food gets home, it can loose its edge so I recommend dining in and shooting the shit with some of the awesome servers.
Want excellent Vietnamese food cheap? Quang is the place to go. Their spring rolls are a great value and very fresh. My favorite entrees include the caramelized lemongrass chicken (#407), beef and egg roll salad (#310), and grilled jumbo shrimp salad (#304).
Oh yeah, I need to talk about the pho. Can you say wonderful! My favorite is the seafood and pork soup with rice noodles (#502), but you can't go wrong with any one you choose. Don't forget to check out their weekend specials, too.
If you've never been to Quang you are missing out. Get off of your couch and go there now, unless it's Tuesday, because they're closed on Tuesdays. Enjoy!
I'm a simple girl. I like to watch the same movies, eat the same foods, listen to the same song on repeat and not leave my house more than absolutely necessary. All I wanted to do on Wednesday night was watch Role Models and eat some pho. Oh lord, how I love me some pho.
I'm also incredibly lazy. I printed off a million different recipes for Pho because my relationship with the stuff is kind of like an episode of that Intervention show - I'm the broke girl passed out on the couch, taking hits from a can of Febreeze air freshener all while screaming out I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM. Whatever, I love the stuff. Anyways, my "problem" is slowly draining my bank account but I can't stop eating pho. But I'm not about to buy 2 chickens and sit over the stove for 11 hours. I need my fix now.
We ordered the beef pho, pork spring rolls, the bahn mi with the pate and the lemongrass chicken. The boyfriend drove to get it (we live near Richfield, so it's not like the place is around the block) and when he got home, the chicken wasn't in the bag. Now he gets to drive all the way back (because he did pay for it) while I physically lock myself in the bedroom (away from my own personal version of the crazy girl's can of Febreeze.)
Sure, they gave us a free dessert and it was really good (tapioca pudding with fried bananas) but the rest of the food wasn't. The pork in the spring rolls had the texture of sand, the pho was ok and the lemongrass chicken had no flavor at all. The bahn mi was really impressive, but I think that's mainly because it's gigantic and only $2.95. Maybe I was just pissed because the order wasn't right in the first place but, honestly, I probably won't be going back. Two stars because, yes, I have experienced better.
1. Friendly
2. Clean
3. Quick
4. Tasty
5. Amazing value
No complaints; five stars hands down!
It was time for a little jaunt out on the town with the team at work on our mission to try unique restaurants the other guys on the team have not tried before. We hopped on the 18 bus outside work on Nicollet Ave. and went down to 27th. Street and Nicollet Ave. The simple awning read Quang on the front and looks very unobtrusive with its simple brown paint job.
We sauntered in the restaurant and the expansive dining area was about 4/5 full and a mixed conglomerate of clientele. We started out with the egg rolls, and they were delicious. Crispy layers covering the sweet pork and veggie filling with a dipping sauce. Thinking back I should have requested some hot mustard to dip it in. The egg rolls were 4 bucks for two of them, but they are pretty long and they cut them into bite size hunks of goodness.
Most of our team ordered the lemon chicken because it had 2 spicy peppers next to the description in the menu and Diet Pepsi was the drink of choice around the table. The drinks were refilled many times and the service was fantastic (More on that later)
The chicken came on a bed of rice and some cucumber slices and leaves of lettuce. The chicken was piquant but not too spicy. It didn't make your nose run or anything, but add some rooster sauce on it and now you are talking fun. Spiciness everywhere and mixing the rice with the chicken with droplets of the red liquid of the morning crower was like heaven. If they added cashews to the dish, it would be a solid top ten dish.
Two of the other guys ordered one of the huge bowls of soup with rice noodles in it and shrimp that looked gorged on the huge bowl of broth that it was swimming in. It looked real good and the other dish had an egg roll in it and noodles I think but it was all the way across the table so I didn't get a great look at it, but it was his recommendation, so I am guessing it was good.
Now the only sucky part. We each left 2 bucks on the table for a tip for the great service, but when we went up front to pay, we didn't realize the cashier also added the gratuity into our bill. Not a big deal, but it was just the principle of the thing that irked me. No where that I saw mentioned them adding in gratuity automatically. Leave that up to me please.
Other than that I would definitely try the subs they have pictured on the wall that look delicious, but I'll make sure not to get double "Tipped" again.
Pho -- good
Lemongrass chicken -- good
Beef and eggroll salad -- meh
Strawberry bubble tea -- similar to a melted McDonald's Strawberry shake, and IMO, that's a GOOD thing.
Highlight of evening:
When I dropped off a Yelp pen and "You've been Yelped" card, the girl behind the register said, "Oh, sure, I know Yelp" The guy next to her asked "What's Yelp?" "It's a porn site," she said with a straight face and then burst out laughing.
Dependable, consistent, and inexpensive. I like it.
A group of four of us went here for lunch one day - one of the group had never tried Pho Ga before and after my raving about it - wanted to try it.
Place was packed when we arrived for lunch on a Thursday, It was cold and blustery out - perfect Pho weather.
I ordered the Spring rolls (not fried) and a bowl of Pho Ga.
When the soup came out, I was surprised to see something floating in the broth that I had never seen before - two small white orbs that looked like eggs. Turns out they were quail eggs. *shrug* Okay, I'll try anything once.
For me, the flavor of the Quail eggs did not enhance the Pho experience - I felt like the flavor was at odds with the rest of the Pho. The eggs were hardcooked on the outside - yet the yolks were still partially in liquid form.
The rest of the soup, however - was excellent! The white chicken meat was plentiful and tender - not overcooked. The broth was outstanding. I slurped down a good bit of it before I spiced it up with some Sriracha sauce.
Service was fast and attentive.
If you are ever in Minneapolis and you crave Pho - check this place out!
This place is one of many gems in my neighborhood. It's always busy and that's because the food is great, the service is great, it's family/kid friendly, and the quantity of food for the price is excellent.
I'm a big fan of rice noodle salads and this place has the best one of all the many I've tried from various restaurants. The pho is also wonderful and loved by many of my friends and family. In fact, just about everything this place has to offer is good. If you haven't tried Quang yet you really need to!
Everything I've tried so far is great, particularly the pho and the excellent yam appetizers. I have little else to add that others haven't mentioned already... oh yeah, I forgot. For a Minneapolis restaurant, the prices are very good (few items are above $10 in price)! Come here if you like Vietnamese food.
My family is Vietnamese and this is the place my parents always want to go when they come to visit.
I usually get the rice, pork chop, shredded pork plate (com bi). I've also tried the pho which was pretty good but still not as good as my parents.
Prices are good but slowly increasing so hopefully they keep it reasonable.
I really want to give it that 5th star but I just can't - maybe because I still prefer my parents cooking so I know this isn't the best, at least for me.
Went to Quang for the first time last week, and my dining companion was nursing a cold. He ordered the chicken pho (white meat), and I got the regular ol' pho tai. I asked for extra meat and whoa, they did not disappoint.
My dining companion loved loved loved his chicken pho, but I didn't take a bite of his because I didn't want the plague. You'll have to take his word for it by proxy.
My (beef) pho was good, but not quite the transcendent experience others have mentioned... but I would certainly go back here again. A tad too oily for my taste, and the flavor wasn't overly complex, but still quite lovely.
What WAS totally transcendent, however, was their pork spring roll-- sweet lordy, SO GOOD! The pork was just so perfect... I am drooling just thinking about it. Probably the best pork spring rolls I've ever had.
Their cafe sua (no "da" because I got it hot) was ennh, but I still drank it all.
I'll have to try it again (for science!) when I'm back in a few weeks.
I see a lot of good reviews about their pho. I didn't like it. The meat was all gristle, the garnishes were old and limp, and the broth was not as good as others I've had. However, it's a lot better than no pho at all. It's not like you can just go around not eating pho.
That said, I like a lot of their other food, especially the shrimp/sweet potato appetizers. I'd go there just for those!
I left my heart at Quang - seriously I did. One of my very last meals was at Quang and I will forever regard this place as the SF of Minneapolis. It was love at first bite here for me. I felt as if I was back in San Francisco eating at one of my favorite Pho houses - except I was in Minneapolis on Eat Street.
Their food is in a word addictive. I love their Vermicelli Salads and the Pho is unexplainable how fresh and great it truly is. You can't go wrong with any of the choices - but I recommend going in on a weekend and getting one of the specials. Worth it and they always run out! Yes people its that good!
Not only is the food great, but I have had some of my greatest meals at Quang with friends and family - it just brings people together. I will especially remember the bond I share with Quang with three very important people - Kelvin, Ari and Jen...ah - we all loved this place. Quang I heart you and always will. If you are ever in Minneapolis this place is a must do - and let's face it do you really need to go to MOA again? LOL
Quang is a marvelous place.
My family was introduced by a Vietnamese friend around 1999-2000-ish. And after we had our first Quang experience, it became our Sunday post-church destination for a fair number of years.
The only thing that is painful about Quang is figuring out where to park.
Otherwise, the food is fantastic. You can order enough food to feed a small army for $30. Personally, I enjoy the wonton soup, the springrolls, the eggrolls, the vietnamese iced coffee and the noodle salads. The pho is phenomenal but I can never seem to tackle an entire bowl on my own.
The service can be a bit brusque at times but there's no need to make the waitstaff coddle you at this place. If you waste time being indecisive and not ordering, you're not eating, and eating is why you go to Quang.
Quang is pretty much always busy but, they seem to move people through quickly enough that there's never a particularly long wait.
I'm on the fence about this place. I would never talk down about the food, but I've only had three items.
The beef and eggroll salad...ok
The caramelized lemongrass chicken...pretty tasty
spring rolls...alright (I'm not a huge fan of cilantro though0
I've been here a couple times, and I would agree that the atmosphere is totally a cheap buffet type of place, but the food I think makes up for what it lacks.
The price for the portion size is probably the best thing about this place. You will definitely leave with take out for tomorrow! The only thing that gets me, and all vietnamese food for that matter, is the cilantro. I like it, but in in an abundance, and I've noticed that Quang's does not take that lightly.
Besides that, its good if your just passing through the area, i would definietly recommend it, but if you are looking for the subtleness and authenticity of food, go somewhere else. The food is pretty "ok" and thats all I can say!
