Coming across an auto shop that truly wants to get your vehicle repaired with the proper balance of value and service is hard to come by these days.   I've been taking a set of fleet trucks (10k-26k GVWR) here for years for all preventative maintenance, smogs, and minor to semi-major repairs.  As a previous review already stated the shop has had some major improvements over the past few years with a new re-modeled office area, computer based records, and overall cleaning up of the shop and its work area.   From quick turn-around to great customer service, Matt has really done wonders in turning the place around from the previous business state it was in.

Based on the wonderful review here I decide this was the place to take my Surburan.  It needed the 30K service and a few minor adjustments, which Matt assured me they could do. Including to run a diagnostic test.
Two days later and only the service was done, but over the estimated cost.  Brought the car back on a Thursday assured they could work on it all day Friday but they couldn't 'find' the problem..... All day Saturday (and Sunday) they kept my car, and not even a phone call.
So I call first thing Monday morning,  I am assured that in half an hour time would be dedicated to my car.... lunch time and my friend drives me by the shop to see my car sitting in the parking lot. :(
and being told once again, there would be time in the afternoon.....well needless to say at that point I took my car and to the dealer I went.  It will be fixed within the day!  And at a discount.
Matt is a very nice person, but customer relations needs some work!

fyi, Matt is no longer here and has apparently been gone for a bit now.  The guy at the counter was not all that friendly.

They had a $24 oil coupon special going, so I inquired how much if I brought my own oil (I wanted to use Mobil 1).  He says that if I have both oil and filter $20, otherwise it will be MORE than $24.

I guess I was a little lost about why it should cost more than $24 if they get to keep their own oil.  Too weird for me, but he wasn't interested in discussing it, and I guess neither was I.

Thanks, I'll pass.

After reading reviews on this place from my fellow yelpers, I decided to bring my wife's car here for service and maintenance. In the newspaper, I found a coupon for a winter service special for 49.99, which included an oil change, tire rotation, engine flush, and 20-point inspection.  This is a great deal considering that it would have cost me about $130 without the coupon.  As everyone mentioned here, Matt is an honest person who knows what he's doing.  He's not the typical repair shop technician who always tries to nickel and dime the customer.  I dropped off my car at around 4pm with no appointment and had it done around 5pm.  He provided me a detailed report on what and when my car should be serviced.  Because of his great customer service and honest work ethic, I will continue to bring in my vehicles for any future repairs or maintenance.  Thanks fellow yelpers!

I love this place!!
The owner is Matt...A very nice fresh faced guy.
The shop has come a long way since I started going there maybe 3 years back.  Matt is always courteous, honest and he has earned my trust by providing me safe reliable automotive service.  Walking into his shop I always know I will get the service I need...of course the extras will be offered but I always know what is required verses what can wait.  When family, friends, coworkers, etc ask for mechanic recommendations I happily & highly praise Matt & his staff at this particular Quality Tune-Up location.

Just got back from there, like the other reviews said, Matt was truly an honest and friendly guy.  I got a smog check there, and I had heard horror stories about smog checks "not passing" when you go to a non test only service location.  Well I passed and not only that, he quickly replaced one of my broken tail lights for hardly any money at all.  Over all, my trip was very cheap and very good.
