I thought that the fact that Qdoba was a chain would imply some consistency between their stores. This one is a little different. Sure, it looks the same - the decor and layout is just like any other Qdoba. However, this one appears to be family run, as the matriarchial figure helped out the kid behind the cash register.
It maintained the look of a chain run store, but it had the feel of a family run mexican restaurant.
None of this, cost it the stars though.
I had a Mole Chicken Burrito. I think that the fact you can get Mole at a chain is a pretty nice thing. But my mole was cold. It doesn't help your burrito when you get a very generous dollop of cold sauce. Cold burritos just don't do it for me.

Boy do they have great burritos and salads! Everything is so fresh and their marinated steak and chicken is wonderful! They also have this queso that you can either get with chips or have in a burrito--excellent! Also, you can get your burritos naked (no you're not naked, the burrito is naked, meaning without a tortilla wrapped around it). And you can get your salads naked, meaning not in a tortilla shell, but just in a bowl. They do tacos and quesadillas too, but I've never had them. Oh, their guacamole is to die for.
