This is probably the best spa north of Boston. It's humongous from inside and is very clean and well kept.

I got an hour facial from Anu who did an amazing job. She truly is one of the best estheticians who has multitudes of experience and is very courteous/professional. I felt very relaxed after the facial and my skin feels so much better.

I Highly recommend Anu.

I had been to Pyara in Cambridge for some spa pampering a while ago, and it was a great experience. So when I saw that there was a Pyara opening less than a mile from my place of employment, I was quite excited.

I've had my hair cut there a few times, dating back to December, all by different stylists. Each one was exceptionally professional, fun, and wonderfully skilled. However, this last time, I was "transformed" by Elizabeth P. I had been thinking of a new 'do for a while - getting over an ex-bf, moving to a new apartment, and tackling more responsibility at work made me think I needed something more out of my hair. Elizabeth knew exactly what I needed.

Every single person who has seen me since the cut has done nothing but rave about it. It's simply amazing and adorable, yet trendy and professional. I am thoroughly impressed.

Pyara itself is wonderfully relaxing. From the head and neck massage, to the scalp massage and hot towel conditioner treatment, to the yummy tea and the cutting/styling itself.

Yay Pyara!

I decided to try Pyara in Burlington on a whim.  I was in desperate need of a haircut but had no time to trek into downtown Boston to visit my usual stylist.  I love Aveda products and it's all I've used for the past two year so I thought I'd give this salon a try especially since it's 10 mins from my house.  The salon itself is super nice.  It's HUGE!  I think I'd definitely go back for spa services.  It had a nice relaxing feel and that I did like.

I wasn't impressed with my haircut at all.  I have a short "pixie" haircut and told the stylist I only wanted a trim.  I could tell as she was cutting that it wasn't going well.  My hair was a lot shorter than I wanted and I specifically told her I was growing it out.  The layers are really choppy and I have a more "boyish" look instead of the trendy looks I'm used to from my other salon.  I left the salon and had to go home and wash my hair to restyle it.  I even shed a few tears because I was unhappy with the way it turned out.

Lesson learned though -- if you find someone you love, don't ever cheat or try someone else.  Stick to what you know is good.

Since I'm moving I decided to find a salon closer to where I work.  I loved the Aveda Salon I went to in Del Mar and had heard Pyara had opened another salon in Burlington. So of course I tried it. I've been there for massages, waxing and hair cut/color. Everyone is so nice! Love Amber Lynn for hair. My fave waxer left, looking for a new one. And Aveda hair products Rock! BTW!!

I went in for a facial and eyebrow wax with my sister. The facial was great, loved the 2 masks, exfoliation, arm and foot scrub. All that was great.

However, the esthetician burned my eyebrows raw by leaving the wax on too long. It was below my eyebrows and they are so swollen even 24 hours later, I still can't open my eyes fully due to the swelling.

I have a picture. Contact me if you want to see what a bloody, raw eyebrow looks like.

I had a great experience here with a bachelorette party the other night.  Every one on the staff was super friendly, and even though I had not booked anything because I was supposed to be late, they put me in for a last minute eyebrow waxing with Cheryl.  She was awesome and so thorough and took seconds.  She gave me a great arch.

As for the bachelorette, we were given a whole room to ourselves so that some of us could chat while we rotated through the services.  Great time.  I'm very interested in going back now.

One star off for being so pricey.

I've been to this salon twice now and have had a great experience both times.  I've only gone in for my hair so I can't comment on the other services...but the haircuts I've received have been terrific.  The stylist gave me exactly what I asked for, didn't feel the need to talk my ear off, and I found the experience overall to be very enjoyable.  It's always very (almost eerily) quiet when I go but that might be because I'm usually taking the first appoitnment of the day.  The neck massage/aromatheraphy at the start of the appointment is incredibly soothing.  I was going to Green Tangerine before but have since switched and have no intention of swtiching back.  I find the overall calming environment of Pyara vastly preferable to that of Green Tangerine.
