I was hesitant to spend extra money for my 30th high school reunion, but decided to indulge in having my makeup applied by a professional anyway. Nora not only made me feel beautiful with her makeup magic, but made me look natural as well. I would recommend her services to anyone. She is skilled and very professional. Nora was excellent! I was a bridesmaid from out of town and she came on time to my hotel room to make me beautiful! She did a great job and was very professional. The airbrush make up lasted from 9:30am to midnight. Everyone complimented me on my make up.

I have used Nora for several different shoots and I've been 100% satisfied with her work on every occasion. All of my models have nothing but wonderful things to say about her.
Nora is an extremely gifted makeup artist and she is able to develop many different looks based on the various criteria that I've given her. You can really tell that she cares a lot about the quality of her work... and it shows!
Not only is her work amazing, but she also has a great attitude and awesome sense of humor too. She is always on set earlier than her call time and is ready with makeup brush in hand for touch ups without my ever asking her.
Oh, and as a bonus, she also does great hair styling as well! -

Nora is my girl when I have brides who are looking for a great make up artist for their wedding. If you hang around her long enough two things will happen.
1. You will start asking her to do your makeup/ show you how she did her eyes. She is an eye genius I swear. Not surprised though with her MAC experience.
2. She will crack your arse up so many times, you will start asking her to repeat the same stories she has already told you. The fried chicken/husband in the hospital story still makes me laugh to myself, and if youre lucky she will tell you too:)
Always professional, and on your wedding day, you kind of want the best. With Nora, you get what you pay for, and I feel totally comfortable sending my clients to her. -

I used Nora two days in a row for a photo shoot and she was amazing. I needed a natural wavy style added to my plain long straight hair and she nailed it. She knew exactly what I wanted and how to do it. It looked great! I'll definitely be using her in the future. I'm dying to try her airbrush make-up!

after slaving over long hours on the internet searching for a wedding makeup artist. I came upon Nora. Her look was natural and her prices were right.
after my trial, i knew this was my girl. she broke my virginity in using false lashes and airbrushing!! i am now in love with it.
Nora and I had great communication and she also drove to our hotel to do my makeup as well as my girls. She is fantastic!!Listed in: wedded bliss

Nora with Pursemblance was a true joy to work with on my wedding day. Given that I am really "not that girl" who is really not into makeup & hair Nora really took the lead but followed my wishes to keep it clean & simple. I hate my lips but I love my hazel eyes. So I told her that I wanted to play those up & she really did that. She broke my fear of FALSE LASHES. I am converted! Moreover the makeup she applied with the airbrush technique really lasted from the ceremony, thru our fotos and into the reception. She also kept the bridesmaids looking fresh and simple - but really modern and glamorous too. Our pictures came out great & I really credit Nora for her help in keeping the bridesmaids look uniform & beautiful.
Pluses:
- Nora spoke Spanish to my mother & my grandmother too and that really helped make the setting on my wedding be more welcoming.
- The best part - during the foto shoot with my bad dog, Lola, Nora held a banana over her head and made funny noises to hold the dog's attention for the photographer! How cool is that?! Now that's being a team player!
- Nora has a colleague Sarah who she is works to do hair styling who I found to be just as professional and attentive.
- Pursemblance's website - I am online gal who did most of my bridal planning that way since I was planning a long distance wedding. I tried to only book vendors with a website because that to me signals - modern, communicative and professional. Moreover, with my work & travel schedule emailing works best for me & Nora's accessibility on the web made her service that much more valuable to me.

Nora is pure artistic genius! She did my make up twice over halloween weekend and i couldn't be any happier. She made sure i looked awesome both times. The make up lasted all through the night and long before the night was over it didn't look cakey or greasy. My only regret was having to wipe it off. I will definitely be coming back to her a third, fourth time and so on.... You get the idea. :) If you don't believe me give her a call and find out for yourself!

I hired Nora from puresemblance to do my wedding makeup in august 2008 and I completely fell in love with her work and personality... I've had my make up done with her several times a year for family portraits, Halloween, holidays, parties and I have never been disappointed. She always arrives on time and has the best selection of makeup she is a true ARTIST!! I highly recommend her.
