Might be a little pricy, but well worth every single dollar. Every time I got a hydra facial from Maggie, my face would glow.
Her place is small, but very clean and relaxing.
I would defiantly recommend this place. -

I've been seeing Maggie for my skin issues for about 8 months now and this review is long overdue. I was sick of my lackluster skin texture and turned to yelp, a trusted online grapevine, to find a cosmetician that could help. Upon our first meeting, Maggie took a deep look at my skin and found the obvious and not-so-obvious causes of my skin problems:
1. I was wearing MAC make-up which is a clear skin no no since it has oils and crap in it that wreak havoc on you skin
2. I was drinking a ton of coffee which sometimes cause bad skin (not in everyone just for some who have extremely sensitive skin like me)
3. (and most importantly) I was on a birth control that was messing me up hormonally.
I've since gotten half a dozen hydrofacials and one Green Peel classic facial and have significantly improved my complexion. Extractions, glycolic peels, and herbal peels are not for the weak; it goes with the old adage, "beauty is pain." The one thing that keeps me coming back to Maggie is the fact that she herself has amazing skin. She is an example of her product. Maggie loves to share her journey as to how she came to this stage of skin perfection, mostly because it did not come easily or natural. She worked at it as most people have to. It's a life long commitment and it really boils down to how important having beautiful skin is to any individual. Maggie instills proper skin care practices in her clients and her work ethic has no parallel to any other cosmetician I've ever seen. I found Maggie's by accident, while looking on Yelp for massage therapists. I was impressed by her reviews and thought, "What the heck! I'll try a facial."
I'm really happy I did because not only is my skin better for it (love that hydrofacial thingie!), but I get more relaxed from her facials than when I get a massage.
Maggie puts a lot of love and care into her work and has obviously trained carefully to be able to do what she does. Her touch is very professional and confident.
I feel really lucky that I 'stumbled' onto this little oasis! -

I love going to Pure Skin By Maggie. As soon as I walk in the door I feel so pampered. I love the ambiance & that it allows me to feel totally relaxed!
I've done a series of 6 hydrafacials and have noticed HUGE differences in my skins texture and appearance of fine lines. Maggie did 'before and after pictures' and I could actually see the visible changes in spots on my face that have been bothering me for years!
If you are looking for high quality skin products Maggie has those as well. I especially love my Foaming Facial Cleanser...I have to hide it from my husband because he loves it too.
I feel great when I walk out of Maggie's Spa and HIGHLY reccommend her professional and affordable services! -

I LOVED Maggie!!!
When it comes to my Esthetician, I prefer personalized service. Someone who knows me when I make my appointment, greet me like I'm an old friend, and I'm so comfortable, I feel like I can tell Maggie everything!!
I don't know about you, but i HATE snobby big name day spas, I never really know who I'd get, what kind of service to expect, then pay an arm and a leg for it!! NO! I refuse!
So I came to Maggie!
I was referred by a friend awhlie back, and let me tell ya, she's pure awesome-ness!!!
I usually come here for my Brazilian.. and ladies, we all know how painful and ugly it can be when it's not done right! 40 Yrs Old Virgin ain't got nothin on a bad Brazilian!
Maggie is super fast, efficient, detailed, and extremely gentle. Her spa is like a little piece of heaven! It's so chic and neat, and it just brings me nothing but relaxation and serenity!
I know her main focus is various facials and treatments, according to my friend that referred me, she's got some magic golden fingers that does wonders! My friend said Maggie was able to treat all her acnes and acne scars!!
Well.. all i know is.. if you love yourself and treat yourself well.. be smart and choose the right esthetician! -

Maggie is AWESOME!
I wanted to make an appointment before I left for LA but she was booked all day and was unable meet me. Five minutes after we hung up she called me back and said that she would open early for me if I was available.
I had the hydrafacial and it was amazing and the cheapest around! During the time my face was at its worst and after my treatment my skin was clear and smooth.

I went to see Maggie for an eye brow waxing. I'm not too great about maintaining my shape and I usually only go in when they're terribly overgrown because I haven't found someone I really like (on the west-side). West-side they're a lot cheaper than town but they do a terrible job. It's like a cattle mill, in and out as quickly as possible, but the shaping is terrible and they almost always over wax you. So since I moved into town I thought I'd give it another try. A lot of the hair salons were really expensive and they charge a lot if they have to do uni-brows or forehead. Not saying I looked that bad, but I didn't want to go in paying way more than expected. So I checked around on yelp and gave Maggie a try.
First of all, I loved not having to park at the mall. It was easy to find parking and I don't have to walk to my car looking like someone just slapped me when I'm done. As for the place itself, I really liked it. It was private, quiet, relaxing and I didn't have to worry about people staring at me as I leaned my head back and endured getting my hair ripped off my face. I expected to be in and out as quickly as possible but Maggie really took the time to ask questions. I appreciated that she made sure I was comfortable and wasn't going to do something I wasn't happy with. Most places, even in town, use thick strips and rip huge chunks at a time. Maggie used tiny strips (I think) so it didn't seem to hurt as much and she didn't over do-it on the shaping and clean up. She was very cautious and I absolutely appreciated that. It was nice to walk out and actually be happy with the service versus forcing a smile and hating it on the way home. And as for the price, totally reasonable. Plus I got a little cookie or sweet or something on my way out too. -

First of all I have to say Maggie is freakin amazing. She takes a real good look at your skin and tells you exactly what you need. I have always had break outs but recently in the last 2 months my face was horrendous and being that I used to work for a dermatologist I didnt want to go the medication route. So I saw her reviews and thought that she could help me out. She recommended the green peel facial which is quite expensive but after seeing how it worked for my face a hundred percent worth it. I didn't go in thinking I was going to have a completely clear face but seeing the after results tinwill keep me going back to Maggie for routine monthly visits. She is extremely personable and doesn't try to sell you any products. She informs you of the whole process and what to expect after a facial And doesn't bs. The ambience is great in the space that she has. If you are thinking of doing a green peel it is quite a process but well worth it, and Maggie is a large part of thAt. Absolutely awesome :)

Maggie is a pleasure from the moment I spoke to her on the phone with my 101 questions about my skin issues to the goodbye see-you-laters. She listens very well about my concerns and I had 1 on 1 quality time with her, absolutely no interruptions. She educated me on my skin and how to treat it from the inside out. I had the Green Peel done and it did wonders for my skin. I bought all of her products because it made sense and she takes so much pride in her work. I will not go to any other place after the value I get from her. Go and see for yourself.

I absolutely love this lady and all that she does. She is amazingly knowledgeable and so honest about your skin and what you need to improve it, in the most caring way. The first time I went to her, I had a bikini wax. It was my first ever and I was so Scared- Maggie made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I can honestly say it didn't hurt, felt better than some eyebrow waxes I have had in the past. When I came to her the second time it was because of my skin. I have suffered with acne all of my life and used everything you can imagine. She immediately recognized me and asked how did the bikini wax go, since my skin is so sensitive. I explained what a wonderful job she had did and I defiantly will be using her as my go to girl. I got the detox facial this time and feel in love with how CLEAN my skin feels and looks. I again felt at ease and ended up falling asleep during the facial, consumed with relaxation. When the treatment was completed we discussed everything and she answered all the questions I had.
This woman is the definition of professional, always using my name and being so polite. I am so happy that I found her on here and decided to give her a try. I wont be using anyone else for the four years we are stationed here!!!!
No matter how many times you read how great she is, you have to go and try it yourself. -

Maggie is very sweet but I would not get a facial from her again. I went there for one thing and was pressured to get something that was four times the price during the consultation. However, I stuck to my plan and kind of felt like she wasnt interested in my skin at that point. I felt rushed and my skin wasnt cleaned out as I thought it would be. I think I will stick with my regular day spa and deal with the 45 min drive to get there.

Maggie is extremely professional and caters to your personal needs. Located on the 4th floor of building is located in the Ward area (corner of Kamake`e & Queen St.), don't forget that you need a security code to get up the elevator. The building is also home to Bamboo Sky and Phuket Thai. Upon entering her lovely little studio, Maggie greeted me by name and welcomed me in. The room is impeccably clean and carefully decorated. She said she designed it all herself, which shows her pride in her work. The ambiance is peaceful and calming, especially because the unit is located farthest from the elevator. Maggie is very personable and was very easy to talk story with. I have to also say that the tea she offers customers is bomb!
Maggie always, always, always addressed me by my name and if she felt she was interrupting me from anything (i.e. looking through the brochure, or to get my attention to tell me what she was doing next) she said "excuse me" first. Her politeness really made an impact on my experience. Maggie went over everything she was doing, and informed me that she uses products with primarily botanical/natural ingredients.
I expressed to her that I'm not a big fan of firm/deep massages, and as a result she was extremely gentle. During my facial, Maggie applied a mask that was custom made, because I asked her prior if I could combine the different types. She was also very honest with her analysis on my skin, and instructed me on what I should do to care for it.
I cannot express enough how wonderful my facial was, as she made it suitable for my skin and needs. Maggie is such a sweetheart, and I highly recommend her. I am definitely a fan and will be returning for more services.Listed in: Glam, bam, thank you ma'am!

This review is overdue. I recently moved here in Honolulu and was looking for a cosmetician. Found Maggie through yelp reviews and I am happy I went. I haven't been using any product on my face for about 15m due to pregnancy. Baby is now 6m and I feel it is time to do something. I actually was looking at the Green Peel hoping it will get rid of the acne scar (is not very bad, but it bothers me). Maggie took me in the same day I called and I had a hydrofacial. The skin really looked great the next day. I inquired about the Green Peel and Maggie answered all my questions in detail. I made the appointment. A few days later through a phone conversation Maggie informed me that I cannot conduct the peel while breast-feeding. Good thing that she remembered to check in. I will hold off for now. But I highly recommend Maggie. She is not pushy on either the treatment or her product line, but she is detail oriented, considerate and very kind.
