Each of our skilled technicians is educated in the latest trends and technologies of the beauty industry so they may serve our guests at the highest professional level. At Pure, guests will enjoy an atmosphere of teamwork and consistency that will provide an experience that not only meets but exceeds expectations. Our specialties include Louisville's best hair cuts for men, women and children of all ages. We are excellent at formal styles and updos for your most special events, such as prom, date nights, charity balls, and weddings. We use Aveda's fade-resistant, virtually damage-free custom hair color for grey coverage, fashion colors, highlights, lowlights, glossing treatments, and even color correction (if that box color went wrong--we can fix it). We also do Great Lengths and Hotheads 100% natural human hair extensions to add fullness, body, and length to anyone, depending on your needs. The absolute worst haircut I have ever received. The stylist Julie did not put in any effort or seem to care. She barely looked at the photo I showed her, did not confirm that the length was ok, and just started cutting. The cut is very uneven everywhere. I had to trim it myself when I got home because it was so bad. She didn't even show me the back before I left. If you are considering going here, save yourself and go somewhere else.

Madeline is amazing! After having bad service at another salon here in Louisville, I was nervous and hesitant to try another salon. My appointment started with a neck message which was a nice surprise and a quick consultation with Madeline. I showed her a few photos of what I wanted and explained to her what I didn't like about my current color. She asked a couple of questions and went straight to it. She offered hand massages while my hair was being washed and then back to her chair for the reveal....
My hair came out EXACTLY as I wanted. Phew! I was so relieved! In addition to the perfect color, my hair felt soft and healthy. I have already booked my next 2 appointments with her.... yes, she is that good!
I forgot to mention that there was a sign out front welcoming me to the salon as a first time client and I was greeted immediately with a warm welcome when I walked in. Overall a really great experience.

don't do it! I agreed to do one of their complementary services thinking it would be free and I would only have to leave a tip. I was planning on going there because I wanted to buy some Aveda products anyway and thought it might be nice to have my hair washed and styled. at the end of the service they let me know it was going to be $30 for the service. The last time I checked complementary meant free. I told them I would not pay $30 and then I would pay $15 because I really liked the girl that did my hair but don't fall for the complementary gimmick. This is just a ploy to get you in The door and he use a stylus he does not have much experience so they have exposure. They do this with the hopes that you will spend more money and hopefully return to the stylist. I don't like when people try to take advantage of others. I recommend you heed my advice!

Yikes, April - I'm afraid the claims you've made in your review are not quite accurate. You actually booked a shampoo & style appointment through our online booking link which is a paid service of $30. We were having a glitch with online booking at the time and it made the service appear online at a cost of $0. We explained this challenge the while you were here for the service and as what you thought would be fair to pay for the service you received from our stylist - a sort of compromise if you will. I promise it was an honest mistake and we would never try to trick anyone into coming in to see us. We have since fixed the issue in our online booking system to avoid confusion for anyone else. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I tried Pure Salon Spa for the first time because of the close proximity to my house. Their lukewarm Yelp reviews had me a little concerned but I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did!
Entering the salon, I felt very welcomed. They even had a sign out front welcoming new clients by name! Beyond that, when I entered the salon I was enthusiastically greeted by a differently-abled woman who was stocking the shelves. I found it refreshing that the salon is so inclusive. Turnover, miscommunication, etc. will all happen in business but when your core values are strong, it will weather all seasons. I observed to staff to be patient and friendly with their helper and she was happy to be there!
I prefer Aveda salons because I've been spoiled by the hot tea, neck and hand massages! I received all of these services at Pure and my tea was refilled several times. So relaxing! I came for a color treatment and cut. I was happy with the quality of my services and the stylist was very friendly.
Upon leaving, I received a welcome box AND my stylist gave me a coupon for a free add-on service during my next visit. I scheduled that day and I'm looking forward to it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Before walking in the door, I was impressed because they had a cute welcome sign out front with the names of the first-time folks. When I signed in for my appointment I was seated in an area with tea, coffee, and water. It was only a few minutes before I was greeted for my appointment. The blowout I received was pretty standard other than the added bonus of a relaxing hand massage with an optional eye mask after your hair is washed. They also had inexpensive add-ons you could get with the blowout - like color enrichment. I didn't opt for anything extra, but was definitely tempted. When my appointment was finished I was given a welcome gift that included sample sizes of Aveda products. I felt like they went above and beyond for first time appointments to make a great impression.
The only reason I gave 3 stars is because I was not allowed to redeem my 3rd blowout (bought 3 blowout Groupon). I had cancelled one of my appointments the day of because I woke up sick with a fever. I thought it was best not to risk the employees of catching my sickness. The owner made a note on my profile that I couldn't redeem my 3rd one without even having a conversation with me. I had to find out when I was at the salon attempting to reschedule. Thank you so much for the feedback about your recent service with us. I hate to hear that you were sick and not able to come to your shampoo and style appointment. It's a difficult situation for us when a guest gives less than 24 hour notice when cancelling an appointment because we in most cases aren't able to fill that time slot. That's why we have a policy that without a 24 hour notice, the appointment is forfeited. I also understand that it's not your fault that you got sick and were trying not to expose us to your germs. This was my first time visiting this salon. I've been in search of a new one for a few years. I once was going to an aveda salon for years but the girl that was doing my hair decided to go out on her own so I followed her. I have blond fragile hair and it's been a mess since I've left. I'm so glad my daughter recommended Pure Salon! I'm also glad to say that I think I've found my home! Amy B. did an amazing job on my hair!!! I wanted the brassy gone and she did it! The botanical treatment I got...OMG...it left my hair feeling amazing! The place was very clean and everyone was very friendly. I got pampered while getting my hair washed. When I left they handed me a welcome box that had some samples in there. I highly recommend this place! I'm so excited for my next visit!

I was so caught up in getting a little pampering and their safety protocols I did not take any pictures. Review will still be awesome even without the photos to share the experience. I was cleaning out my desk and came across a spa gift card that I hadn't used. I looked in the website for the gift card and found that Pure Salon takes them! Score for me! Years ago, I was a loyal customer and loved the experience, her but then had a family friend who opened a salon and I followed her for several years. I also love the fact they are an Aveda salon. Score! I visited Pure's website and submitted a request for an appointment. A little bit later I received a call. I scheduled my appointment A few days out. But they did offer a same day at 5. After working around a few things on my schedule I called back to move my appointment up. I arrived about 10 minutes early and sent a text to let them know I was here. Yep I got a pic of that. I was able to walk right in. Mask on, of course. I was screened at door, temperature taken and normal screening questions and offered hand sanitizer. The overwhelming smell of Aveda was all around. That scent just takes me to another world. For those who aren't familiar, it's Rosemary & Mint. I was greeted by Allison my stylist. She was super friendly and got right to it. I just came in for a hair cut. We started with a wash and a mini scalp massage, what a way to end the week. She asked some questions and went right at the cut. Just a trim and also made suggestions for extensions to help with the lack of volume this fine thin hair lacks. She dried it styled it and it immediately looked a million times better. Who can transform hair with just a trim, Allison can. She also made suggestions for products. I also left with rosemary & mint shampoo and conditioner, men's regrowth system, hair repair and free hairspray. They have a promotion if you spend $75 on product you get a free hair spray. Wow! That's an offer! They have contactless check out, which I love. They could use my gift card and my card on file. They take every step for safety, each product I purchased were wiped down and sanitized before they went Into my bag. Wow! The service and experience were amazing the cut was transformative. I will be back again, hopefully soon maybe for a massage.

It is an excellent experience to be pampered. You can expect first class service. Reasonable prices on products also.

I cannot say enough great things about Pure Salon. They are so professional, it's a terrific value and they really care about their clients. It's an EASY drive from 65, so don't let the location stop you if you live in Eastern Jefferson county.
