We took our 6 and 4 year olds to our 6 year old's best friend's birthday party on Saturday night. I didn't know what to expect since it was our first time taking the kids.

The lobby is kind of small. They have a wait area. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Before the party started all the kids had to sit down and watch a safety video.

In the first room there are huge jumpers, slide, basketball and air hockey table. The kids got to jump and bounce around for 45 minutes. There were 2 staff members making rounds to make sure the kids were safe and following the rules. There were benches for parents to sit.

Second room had an big slide, jumper with a flower looking thing and obstacle course. I took our daughter on the slide. It was pretty fun!

After the 45 minutes were up all the kids were told to put on their shoes and head to the party room. There was 1 staff member serving the kids drinks and pizza. The pizza was okay. I like Chuck E Cheese's pizza better.

Overall the kids had the blast. We enjoyed it very much. We're thinking of having our 6 year old's birthday there later on this year... definitely a fun place for kids.

The most exciting thing that happened while we were there? My 6 year old bumped into a friend of his and ended up with a bloody nose. The staff member came with napkins and after my hubby took our son to the restroom to clean up, the staff member brought disinfectant and napkins to clean up the mess. A+ for cleanliness :)

Kids have fun.  However, there is definitely a lot of room for improvement.  For the number of inflatables, I wonder why the room is not bigger.  Or at least the color of the walls lighter, so one doesn't feel closed in, especially with 25 screaming hopping kids.

The quality of help you get in the bounce room as well as the party room depends on who you get.

We got a good helper in the bounce room.  However, when we got to the party room, the helper(s) kept leaving when I needed them the most.  They missed a few placements on the table b/c they miscounted the number of kids.  They were not interactive in serving the pizza/cake.  I would've expected a little more basic organization....like , "those who want cheese raise your hands, " etc..

The sign for the place could also be more visible.  Better yet, it would be better to have it in a more central location closer to El Camino, or such.

OK, it's fun, you've got the pump it up experience, but now they put an air hockey game in the rooms w/ the bouncy tents and want to charge you $1/play? Excuse me, WTF? You pay to rent the room and then you have to frickin pay for airhockey?  Puh-lease. One star baby. Why not just charge $5 extra and make it free, or provide that option, or take the table out.  But doing that guarantees the parent is either a grinch or getting nickle and dimed.

Also they don't have water fountains in the rooms like most of the other pump it ups.

Pump it Up staff/owner were very accomidating with me cancelling a party due to my son breaking his hand. Walter and his staff returned calls promptly and were very professional and understanding. I greatly appreciated that!

Bouncing is fun, so Pump it Up is a pretty big slice of heaven for rambunctious little boys ranging from 4 to 10 or so.  We were most recently here for a 7 year old's birthday party and it worked out perfectly for a group of roughly 15 kids.  A few insider suggestions for your visit:

- If your little one is under 7, seriously consider Pump It Up Jr. next door.  The slides in this bigger one are very steep, and even "Jr" has more than enough adrenaline-producing equipment for everyone.

- Keep an eye on your kids while there; they tend to get braver and braver as the party goes on, and tackling or flips while sliding are probably not a great idea.  (Note that injuries have happened at these places almost every time I've gone, so it's well worth trying to set boundaries for your little guy/gal)

- The drop in hours do fill up, so call or book in advance to avoid botching your kids' expectations. I did that once and got lame dad award for the day.

I recently attended a party here and it was GREAT! This is the best place to have a party; all you do is show up, and the staff does the rest! I was very impressed; the staff was extremely friendly and the place was extremely clean.

One thing I didn't like, had nothing to do with the facility. The other adults that I encountered there were extremely rude and abusive to the staff!! You need to remember that these are just young adults trying to make some money; so don't treat them like your slave.

If I had reviewed this place when we came last year, I would have given it 2 stars. Everything felt rushed and my kid didn't enjoy himself. I don't really think this place is great for 2 year olds.

Well fast forward a year and this place just seems about 10 times better. All the kids had a good time and I felt we got ample time in each of the two play rooms. I got a nice little work out in myself! There's a good variety of different things to jump or slide on.

The pizza was from Pizza Hut, which of course isn't the best ever but is way better than some stale crap "party pizza."

I would definitely recommend this place for a 3 year old's party.

Love the idea of keeping your party super entertained.  I went here as a guest for my friend's son's birthday.  My boyfriend and I, had fun playing around on the equipment and not looking like asses.  The only thing I didn't play in was the in-caged bounce house, because there were little kids in there, I didn't want to squash them.  But be sure to bring socks, or they won't let you on the slides, boooo!

You move to like I think two or three rooms then end in the pizza room to sing and eat cake.  Very cool way to wrap up a party.

I agree with Brenda B.'s low rating of this supposed "fun center", not only were the employees disinterested with the young kids parties, but the employees rushed everyone to get out as soon as time was up. Maybe it was a bad day at PIU, but even trying to be cool and helpful with the young staff was impossible. I think it would be more courteous to give the party a heads up before time is up.

Also, I ripped a chunk of skin off my elbow when going down a slide even as I went down safely. All I got was a lousy band aid. My view of Pump It Up has gone done in a big way.

I've been to countless kids parties and this experience counts as one of the less appealing ones.

We just got back from a birthday party at Pump It Up and my son is nauseous.  He's nauseous from running around like a maniac for 2 hours!

The party is set up great AND the play areas are so clean!

One of the workers, Brian, was FABULOUS. He was in with all the kids, chasing them, rolling down the slide, etc. He told the kids they were wild animals and was chasing them to round them up into an inflatable play 'cage'. They all loved it!

It definately seems safer than Sky High Sports for all the kids.  My daughter immediatly asked to have her birthday party here!

One suggestion would be to have water fountains in the jump rooms. We had to walk into the lobby and around to get a drink.

Update: I took my boy to the Pump It Up JUNIOR section and it was even BETTER than the regular Pump It Up -- mostly because he's two and everything is truly pint-sized and toddler friendly! There were a couple of young ones there, around age one, and they were getting a bit trampled. But there's a large enclosed bouncy house that their moms eventually took their kids into and they got more privacy there. Otherwise, this room has two big slides, two big obstacle courses, an enclosed traditional bouncy house, and some inflated balls. It's as if they pump pure adrenaline into the air. Everyone is happy. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I took my little boy to the Pop-In Playtime and he LOVED LOVED LOVED this place. It was a lot more crowded than I thought it would be, but most of the moms were vigilant about preventing rough play. The nice thing is that parents play for free and can go in/on all the play structures with the kids. A few moms, myself included, went down the giant slide and got it touch with our inner kid. There were only four structures, but each one was pretty big. We're going to check out the Junior playground next door another time.

Wow! What an excellent party place! The boy and I went here for a friday night birthday. I've researched the place for this 3rd birthday and I'm so glad that we went as a guest before making a reservation.  We had so much fun and the concept of keeping the party moving is excellent.  With 40 minutes in each arena room and a final destination of food and cake, the place gives a party just the right amount of time for fun, entertainment and food.

My son is 3 and it took him awhile to be independent on the giant slides but this gave a chance to do my cardio for the week.  The vertical climb on many of the slides take a bit of practice but he eventually got the hang of it.

We definitely will be trying the drop in time during our vacation and booking a party one day.

So much FUN!

Our kids attended a B-Day party here over the weekend. "Pump It Up" offers 2-hour parties, broken up into 3 segments. The first two are two different rooms with various jumpers, slides, etc. The last is a smaller room for eating cake, games, etc.

The staff is very helpful and safety conscious. The kids had a blast (I would guess that 4-8 year olds would have the most fun here). All in all, the party was extremely well-organized, fun, and not too long! I wholly recommend this place to parents throwing parties.

Loads of fun for both adults and kids!

I attended a birthday party here for my 4 year old niece over the summer.  Pump It Up is located in an industrial part of Sunnyvale - lots of parking and it's a huge facility.

Here's what I liked about the party:

- Private - only adults and children attending the party use the rooms.  No strangers, crowdedness depends on how many people are invited, and it's just nice having something in common (knowing the birthday child!) with others in attendance.

- Huge, fun playgrounds - when we were in the first room, I thought all the equipment was great.  Slides, jumpee things, lots of them.   Then, we went into the second room (after some period of time in the first room).  The playground doubled in size!

- Variety - they have an air hockey table, basketball hoop/games, arcade machine.  Of course, they have giant slides - several of them.  And, there is a jumping room where there are these oversized "batons" that you can try to joust with each other.  And, balls to throw around (and dodge!).

- Fun for all ages - at the party, adults got into it also.  The equipment can hold adults so while the kids play, the grownups did also!

The last room is the cake and food room where the birthday child gets to sit in an inflatable "princess or prince" chair and feel special after a day with friends, jumping and sliding around!

Very well organized and roomy place to have parties for kids!

(I'm curious to know what the Pump It Up, Jr facility will be like - this building is next door and was under construction when I went.   I have to start planning for future parties for my daughter!)

So.much.fun! I went for a 6 year old's birthday party a couple weeks ago. (I started babysitting him when he was 16 months old...he's so big now!) I like how each room is private and surprisingly, very clean. I got there a little early and all the kids had to watch a safety video. We went into one room with 3 jumpy thingies: a basketball court, an obstacle course and a regular jumpy house for 45 minutes, and then we moved into a second room. The second room had three new jumpy thingies: a HUGE slide, a Gladiator-type one where you knock each other off a podium and another jumpy house. After 45 minutes of jumping in there, you move to the party room where you have pizza and cake for another 30-45 minutes.

Things I loved: Everyone loved it! From the little kids to the adults, they had a blast! I was really happy with the cleanliness and that only one party was allowed in each room at a time.

Things I didn't love: The staff. Rude. "One person down the slide at a time, please." Screw you, I'm going down with a 6 year old for crying out loud. If we bonk heads, I promise not to sue you. There were also no water fountains in each room. We had to go out and into the hall to have water. After jumping for an hour and a half, you get a little thirsty. Also, you can't bring outside food other than a veggie and/or fruit platter and a cake. I think the mom said they have the pizza delivered to them, but no other food is allowed. I think they just don't want any "ethnic" food that might spill or smell up the party room.

Even though the staff is idiotic, I give this place 5 stars. I don't know if I'd agree if I were the parent booking the party, but as a guest, I loved it!

My six year old decided on Pump it Up for her birthday party.  I'd never set foot in the place before we arrived for the shindig, having made all the arrangements on the phone.  The kids are initially corraled into a little carpeted area where they are cautioned to not bash their heads together or purposely maim themselvevs or others, then they are herded into the first jumpy room.  This place was cool.  Imagine a warehouse filled with jumpy paraphenalia like a basketball court, slide, boxing ring.... c'mon....it's kiddie shangrila...it's GROWN UP shangrila, let's not kid ourselves.

Just when you are used to the first assortment of inflated thingamajigs, you are moved to a second room with (better) jumpies.

This may be my favorite kiddie birthday spot of all time and believe me...ain't nothing new under the sun.  I've seen them ALL.

I am holding back one star because I found the actually party room service where we feasted on pizza and cake a little lackluster.  It would be much better with a more involved hired host instead of a virtual bystander.

All in all...highly recommend.

This is our 4th invitation to a Pump It Up Party but our first for this location. The parking lot in the back is HUGE and upon driving in we noticed there's also a Pump It Up Jr, but the party wasn't there. Another double header birthday for sisters.

As with the other locations we've been to, it's a warehouse like building segmented into different rooms. The rooms are actually very similar with the inflatable jumpers, obstacle courses, and slides. I was hoping to see something different in the second room, but much of the same just maybe bigger or differently structured.

I noticed while in the lobby area the air conditioning was in full force, to the point of nearly freezing. In the jumping rooms though it was different. I wasn't even jumping/ playing just watching the lil one and it was getting hot. Not to mention all the kids were sweat laden. ICK. The water fountains were outside the rooms as well, which in some senses did and did not make sense. It's fricking hot in there but I can understand that the water could get messy.

It's a fun place definitely! But it's NOT cheap.

This place was fun as hell. We went here for a nieces b-day. She HATED this place. But this isn't about her. It's all about me, as a childless adult who suffers from arrested development. THIS PLACE ROCKS.
It's really nothing more than a huge warehouse with jumper thingys. Staff leads the kids to the room. Tells them the rules. Then lets them go nuts. It's really on the parents to watch their kids. Of course, when you have a childless adult with arrested development, you dump the kids on him.
So I got to entertain the kids with an inflatable basketball court. Then they followed me to the air hockey table. Then to the circular area where you hit each other with q-tip sticks straight out of American Gladiators. I got my Sandperson on here, by holding the stick over my head and making the famous "OW OOO OO OOO" honking noises. Since I was surrounded by 3 year olds, they didn't think that was funny. So they decided to just hit me with sticks. and run after me. So i got to see how much fun it is to shove a kid into an inflatable wall. It didn't live up to my expectations. They laughed and wouldn't leave me alone.
The best part is the slide. Me and one of the other childless adults decided to re-enact the 'eliminator' for about 10 minutes, while nursing hangovers. Gladiators ready!

to be a kid again!

my nephew just had his 5th birthday party here and it was perfect!  there were over 20 kids ranging from 1-5 years old.  we started off in one room and the kids ran around jumping, climbing, sliding, and shooting basketballs for 45 min.  then they were called to line up to go to the next room to do more running, jumping, climbing, and sliding for another 45 min.  the whole time the staff was very friendly and made sure all the kids were being safe.  ie., wearing socks, no more than one sliding down the slide, etc.  they even reminded some of the adults when they weren't being too safe.    -.-*  then everyone was taken to a small (a bit too small considering how big the other 2 rooms were) for pizza hut and cake.  by this time all the kids were tired, sweaty, and hungry, and very very happy.

i personally thought the time was too short but i guess it wouldn't be good to have your kid too tired.  my nephew was tired but only to the point of being happy tired, not cranky tired.

all in all it was the perfect party.  all of my nephews friends were able to come w/ their siblings and i didn't have to help clean up afterwards ... perfect

Pretty AWESOME for the young ones.

The place is kept in very clean condition.  Also included anti baterial cleanser before feasting on the pizza and birthday cakes.

And there are good varieties of Pump It Ups for both regular and Junior Pump it up. The tallest slide was a little intimidating for a 4 year old, but he got used to the height after the first ride, that was actually the best one there.

I cannot imagine any kid would not love this place. I only wish it was opened in the weekend for drop-in, it makes more business sense to open to the public, if they did not have any party there.

Holy crap on a crutch, this place is loud.

I just went here for my niece's birthday party. Damn, it's loud! A bunch of rooms with crazy inflatable playgrounds on which parents can also play make up Pump It Up. They play inoffensive funk, rock, and high energy to keep the kids energized and the parents awake. The staff is very nice, and the kids seem to love them. It was fun, and a great idea for kids. What parent wouldn't love coming here for a couple of hours? Sure, it's loud, but the payoff is a couple of super tired kids who will sleep through the night. Also, no set up and take down of inflatable craziness, and no mess to clean up, as per usual with kids birthdays.

The only problem I had was it was a very innocuous building. I probably drove by 20 times before I saw the obscure "Pump It Up" sign.

They need a bar, too. Yeah, long shot, but all I could think when I was there was I need a drink, and I need a kid.

Went here for a birthday party this week, and I have to say that I really enjoyed the place, and the kiddies did too. This is a great place to have an indoor b-day party for those who are unfortunate enough to have birthdays in the winter. The kids loved the place, and the staff seemed attentive enough. One of the staffers was giving the smaller kids rides down the slide. The one staffer we had in the eating/present opening room seemed a little less into it. The place is spotless, and feels slightly sterile; which is okay considering the number of kids the put through here in a given day.

Kids love it here! The party set up was great and I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the entire place. It kept the kids ( 3 & 6) entertained the entire time we were there. We were there for another child's birthday party so I am not sure how much it cost. But I do know that the kids had a blast running, jumping, and sliding over all the inflatables. I was also impressed that they let the parents/adults play too! There were many mom's and dad's who also had a blast jumping and sliding on the structures. It is definitely a place the kids would love to go to again. I also liked that the birthday party was kept separate from everyone else. The only participants allowed in the rooms were part of the party so it was very safe.

We just held our daughter's seventh birthday party at Pump It Up and the staff there went up in their scoring with us.  While our last birthday party experience in this place was with Pump It Up Jr., this time around we were in the bigger kid area and was it ever fun!!!  The kids enjoyed competing against each other in inflatable basketball, racing down two laned slides rimmed by an obstacle course and jumping, jumping, jumping.  We were then unleashed on Arena B where the inflatable slide got larger, there was an arena with a balancing bounce in the center of it and place to play soccer.  I don't know who had more fun --- the 20 second-graders we hosted or my biggest kid of all, my husband.  By the end of the jumping time I did understand why waivers were necessary (something I didn't get before) ---- we had an injury tally of seven bonked heads (including hubby's),  a bumped knee, a twisted ankle and three rug burns!   We're taking  these as signs that no one sat on the sidelines and therefore it was a successful party.

We had very helpful staff on our side this time around.  These girls helped me keep 20 second graders and a husband under control and they did it without losing their cool ---- very admirable considering they were only in their early 20's.  They also had our party room all set up for us when it was time for cake with places set and everything we needed right there for us --- a vast improvement over our first experience when the staff seemed to forget we were even there.

We had our kids birthday party at Pump It Up Jr and they had so much fun.  The place is setup for toddlers and younger kids.  In addition to the four huge bouncers (one of which has two slides), they provide two ride along cars for kids to drive (Flintstone style).    There are also a couple of long benches for parents to sit & chit chat.  Since Pump It Up Jr is designed for younger kids, there is only one arena which is more then enough for the kids.

For the last 40 minutes of the party, the kids spend it in the party room.  There is a loooong table for the kids and a larger one for the adults as well as a bench along the wall.  By only complaint would be that there is no where for everyone to put their belongings except next to them while eating.  They just changed Pizza Vendors this year to Pizza Hut.  We were required to buy pizza for all the kids and allowed to bring drinks, cake & snacks.   The worker even helped serve the kids pizza.

Overall, parents and kids had a great time.  We would def go back.

Talk about a wild time for your kids! This place offers air jumpers and sliders (huge ones might I add) for birthday parties. The kids were quickly shuttled into one room for 40 mins and then moved to another room for another 40 mins. When that was over, they moved into another room for pizza, drinks and other food-related activities. Prices are quite reasonable. Check out the website. The kids get seriously wild, but it does tire them out.

Our kids have been to a couple of birthdays there. It is fun and overall better then renting a bouncy at your home probably. It is not cheap, but hey, its a birthday in a box and your done and that can be worth a ton. The kids will love it, no question.

My aunt booked this place for my cousin's 6th birthday and it was a blast for the kiddies.  It's kinda in a secluded area in Sunnyvale.  It's a pretty safe environment and the kids will be tired at the end of the day.  In fact, I was getting tired from just watching them.  I'm not sure one what the cost was, but I think it's an option instead of renting one of those jumpers you see in the park or on the front lawn.

This was our second birthday party at this location and the experience was much different (and worse) than last year.  The bouncy castles are all still fun for the kids, but I noticed a definite decline in the helpfulness of the staff.  Some were helpful and polite, but some were disinterested and rude.   I expect better service when spending $500 for a party.

Back again for my sons party this year and had another positive experience. We had 20+ kids in there and they ALL had a blast. Again, the adults joined in ! The employees were much more involved this year but the kids were more active so that may be why. Our party attendant was really sweet and did a good job too. A++

Had my sons 5th day here and have brought him here for other parties. LOVE that it's an activity that tires them out and its good for young kids and older kids too. We had a mix of ages with our party and while we didn't have the max kids we could have it was great. There was enough room for the littlest ones to play and not get run over and even the adults joined in and had a great time. Both rooms kept everyone busy enough and worked up the appetites as well. Great place for a party!

WAY TO LOUD! My two year old held his hands to his ears for the first 20 minutes. The two video games in the entry area were out of order. HINT: unplug a video game that is out of order until it is fixed. Make sense?

The eating area was offensively hot. I asked the proson who worked there to turn it down and viola, in about 15 minutes you could have hung meat in the place. What a joke this place is.

DO NOT BOOK A PARTY WITH THESE PEOPLE.  I booked a party for my 4 year old 2 months prior to his birthday.  Shortly before his birthday when I called to confirm everything, I found out there was no booking and I was not able to have my party here.  They assured me they had tried to call me, but needless to say, I was stuck in an awkward situation with no place for a party.

super fun indoor place for kids.  grown-ups make sure the bottom of the slide is clear - you get some serious speed.  wish there was more time available for general admission rather than b-day only.
