A Swiss man, Kurt runs this place. I have serious doubts that he is PADI certified or even a dive master. But he will gladly rent out tanks for cheap to you and take you on his boat for a dive.
He is likely be the ONLY person who will rent tanks without any questions on the Este side of the island. We went to and called 5 places and eventually found him. Be wary of the tanks you rent though, we came across two with seriously leaky o-rings.
In his shop you can find spear fishing equipment and fishes for sale. He seems more of an aquarium enthusiast than a dive master. Why do I say this?
He doesn't tell you what you are going to see. He never asked for dive cards. He doesn't show you anything. He swims off quickly without you. He doesn't do safety stops (eek). He doesn't even tell you the depth or length of the dive. While he is searching for peppermint crabs to capture and sell, he will tear up the reef getting them. Really? You are paying $65 to go on a questionable dive without a dive master. If you aren't comfortable, don't go! If you have a respect for the environment, don't go!
