As much as I "bagged" on Carnation Golf Course, the Prospector Golf Course is at the opposite end of the value spectrum.  It is an absolute beautiful layout!  Every hole creates a challenge on the approach shot because the greens are protected by a bunker or water or both.  Yet, it is forgiving off the tee shot.  I believe that the course is in immaculate condition because people just do not want to drive way out to Cle Elum.  These people should.  This course is comparable and probably better than TPC Snoqualmie Ridge.  I have not played Aldarra or Sahalee but i cannot imagine either course being that much better than this one.  This is a private country club quality course, which is open to the public.  It is definitely worth the drive.  The only thing that can be improved is the putting green.  The greens are fair and in great condition, but not very fast.  Ironically, it is very difficult to "hold" the greens on your approach shot.  I shot an 88 from the tips.
