Yum! Pizza! With Halal pepperoni and sausage(: Mmm.
Came here with my girls after our New Years Eve celebration looking for something tasty and satisying to heal us after a long night! Came here at around 2:30am and found the place packed! As we entered the place, people were leaving and we got a table in the middle. The floor was a bit sticky... but it's understandable since it was almost 3am. We bought a whole pizza with half chicken and the other half being sausage and canadian style bacon. YUMM, nomnom(: Definitely hit the spot! My other girlfriend bought the chicken sandwich which was real good from the big tasty bite that I had stuck my teeth into! Tasty. Def. a joint to try if you're craving something oily, cheesy, and tasty after a long night.
Will be back if I'm in the mood for some grub (: -

Cruising down Eddy on my 2 feet, mmm what's that I smell? Arabs making Pizza? must be halal meat!
Aside from the lovely lady boys selling themselves right around the corner, Pronto is the one place that is open for business @ 3:30am. On any given day, catch these guys working they're holy asses off, pizzas, sammies, what's this coffee too now? The whole shabang, call it: The Habeebee hustle. All I ever eat is that addicting chicken sammich, that thang is more bomb than the Arab who made it.
(shhh.. I can make this distasteful joke, because I know the owner).
"Wattup Saeed? How the kids? What, you're going to skin me for the sorry dog manure that I am? Why? It was a joke!"
$6.99 for my chicken sammie, throw in an ice cold Orangina, friendly words with the muslim buddies behind the counter, and promptly I am greeted by the dusk of dawn. Ladies boys still working? Holy moly! -

Hits the spot.
When I crave food, it's usually for a hunky slab of greasy, cheese-oozing, bubbly pizza. I was tempted to get an entire small pizza for myself since it's free delivery via http://grubhub.com for orders of $15 or more but I decided that I probably wouldn't be able to finish it all. So I took a walk in store and ordered two slices, the chicken pesto and the hawaiian. For the pesto, they just poured pesto sauce on top of the pizza, which I thought was a little weird but tasted alright. I really wanted to try Sarah's favorite but they didn't have it listed on their board. Actually, they didn't have any of the specialty pizzas listed in store. I think it may be just an online thing, which sucks cuz I wanted to try them. Note for those who want to try their specialities, order online.
The two slices were huge. I was stuffed after eating one. So I took my leftovers home. They were warm and the bottom was crispy.. mMmMm~ Perfect combo. The pizzas were delish and I was sober when I tried them. While I cannot vouch for how they taste drunk or hungover, I can clearly say that the pizzas are delicious even while sober. I bet they'd taste even more amazing at 2 in the morning. -

Steph and I went out to grab some pizza while we were waiting for our old professor to karaoke... Yeah... We get into some crazy adventures.
I have gone here before... I think. It's all hazy. But I remember I liked it.
And I liked it this time around too. Compared to that really shitty pizza place up the street from me, this place ruled! Seriously- in terms of drunk pizza- this is close to 5 stars. In terms of sober pizza- its a 4 stars.
If you're stuck in the library (me) and all you want is carbs and cheese and pesto (also me) and you don't want to pay for Escape from NY (not me.) (Ok, me.) (And most of my friends!) I recommend you come here. -

I live a block away so I can't review the delivery, but I give them 3 stars for being open until 3am to help with late nights cravings.
Also the pizza is decent though nothing to rave about; same about their spaghetti meatballs.
Staff is pleasant enough if compared to the usual rudeness from other similar small pizza joints.
If I'm around and it's late, that's my go-to place, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. -

God I love you Pronto Pizza's lovely Italian workers, for dealing with me and my drunk friends on a normal basis.
This is the to go to place when the night is no longer young and neither are we. It can get pretty crowded and foggy because it is so small.
There is one item on their menu that I cannot live without and it is called The Italian Sausage Sandwich. It is funny because I am not really a sausage fan but somehow these little balls of meat taste so wonderful in this sandwich. Or could it be the mayonaise?! Oh well, whatever it is, has kept me coming back for more! -

I don't know why the overall rating isn't that high. In my opinion, this is some of the best "fast food" pizza in the city! I might even stretch it & say it's close to Arinell's in quality.
Friday late night, stopped in for a slice of cheese & veggie. The servings are large. $2.70 for cheese & $3.something for others. $6.30 for 2 slices. The bottom was cooked to a beautiful doneness - crispy but not burned. The cheese was melted nicely & evenly & the veggies covering the slice were very generous. I live close by & had been wanting to try this place. Even had enough for leftovers the next day. Took a few bites when it was cold & the taste was still good then when I heated it up (30 sec in microwave then broiler on low for a few minutes to make it seem like it's fresh) it was just as good as the night before.
Others there were eating sandwiches but I think I'll stick to the pizza. They also have salads & pastas.
Friendly guys. He answered my questions honestly (is your pesto fresh? do you make it in house? the answer: not made in house. they used to but it got too expensive) & provided fast & friendly customer service. I won't be surprised if I "accidentally" end up there again after a night out. -

Dirty fingernails, dirty hands, touching pizza, throwing it in the oven, and making my change.
Disgusting.
I didnt have the heart to tell him wtf, give me my $ back, i am out of here....
So i tossed the pizza to go in the trash.
I was passing thru and needed lunch so i stopped in.
What a freaking mistake.

So it's midnight, and I just moved into the new crib. No food, plates still packed. Call Pronto Pizza!
The pizza was a margherita with mozzarella, fresh basil and tomato. Not the most fabulous pizza I've ever experienced- but they were here in like 30 minutes pronto, fo' sho'.
You can't be a pizza bitch princess at midnight. Just hearing my doorbell ring for the first time was a major thrill.

Just placed an order online with Pronto Pizza at 7p and paid using my mastercard. At 720p I went to get my pizza, was told it wasn't ready yet, " In Five minutes" I was told. I didn't believe the employee so I asked which pizza was mine, I was right, it hadn't been started. The employee showed me a fax of my order that he claims he just received 5 minutes prior. I did not have time to wait. I asked for him to refund my money, he said he could not do it and I would have to contact the company that manages their online order's called http://www.zonicorderi... which I have done. I did call back to get the guys name just incase.
Do yourself a favor, if you order online and use a credit card, call to make sure they have the order.
On a positive note, someone from zonicordering called to say that I will be receiving a credit back to my card!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Ordered from here again.
I ordered the burger. It was overcooked. It probably would have been a good burger if it wasn't so well done. It was a nice sized patty. The bun was a nice sesame bun. The other ingredients were fresh.
I also ordered their wings. While these were not traditional wings, they were big, juicy, and pretty spicy. I enjoyed them.
I ordered the calzone with pepperoni. It was consistent with the one from my first review. I enjoyed it very much.

Review from Eliot R.
San Francisco, CA
Their pizza isn't the best, unless you enjoy gobs of grease smothering a paper-thin crust. I like thick-crust pizza, but maybe that's just me. However, if you're staggering around this neighborhood after a night at the bars, this place definitely isn't a bad idea.
Service is terrible. Pronto is very New-York-esque in that the employees would never even consider engaging in conversation beyond, "What do you want?" and, "$10.33". A few times they've screwed up my order and left me standing twenty minutes for a slice. Of course, they didn't apologize, they just quickly handed it to me in a greasy box and turned around as quickly as possible to avoid any complaints or uproar.
The reason I return to this place constantly is mostly because it's across the street, but also because they have good sandwiches and wings. Their calzones aren't bad, either, but you have to wait for them. Sometimes the speed of service can really be outstanding, but other times it is abysmal. It's never anything in between, it's either a really great or really terrible experience, so I'm leaving this review at three stars. -

~~Rude, Late, and Unapologetically Bitter a.k.a. the 2-Hour Pizza~~
Avoid at all costs. This place is _not_ cheap, and their service stinks worse than the stench of the worst Chinatown hole-in-the-wall.
I was promised delivery in 30 minutes and after 60 minutes I hadn't heard back from them. No call, no email. I called them after the initial hour and they didn't pick up. Ten minutes later they picked up and didn't apologize-didn't express the least bit of concern-but they eventually offered 15% off and said the order would be delivered within five minutes. Twenty minutes later I had no pizza, so I called again. Still no apology. There was another phone call after another false promise.
I felt bad for the delivery guy who finally showed his sheepish face nearly two hours after I placed the order, ignorant to the whole situation. He asked for the full price, so I called the manager again. I asked if he was prepared to give me a reasonable discount (something more than 15%). He was profane, stubborn, and sounded like Christian Bale during that hilarious tirade a few years back, complete with f-bombs galore, so I sent that cold, soggy pizza back for the bastard to eat himself... as a loss. -

Is this gourmet? No...., but is it tasty? Yes. And do they deliver late? Yes! Like 1:30 am late? Yes!
Once midnight hits, anything cheesy is tasty so by default, pizza in general will give you at least 2 stars unless it is totally crappy cardboard tasting pizza. Hey, even a $0.99 cents Mama Celeste pizza tastes better at 2 am rather than 2 pm!
Pizza Pronto is 3.0 stars. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but at 1:30am + free delivery, it definitely fills the belly if you know what I mean. $29 total for large 3-topping deep dish pizza, 6 pcs mozzarella sticks, and a 2 liter soda.
But the $3 extra for deep dish was weird. I don't mind the price, but apparently "deep dish" means a thin cheese-stuffed crust? Huh? How about calling it "cheese stuffed crust" instead??? Overall, the toppings and non-crust part of the pizza tasted pretty good, but the crust reminded me of a cheap pizza. But then again, I only tried Pizza Pronto because of those dangly fliers they rubber-banded to my front door.....
All in all, pizza was okay and better than most, and I do give them an extra star for fast and free delivery service late at night (1:30 am). Yeah, nite-owls are the best! -

Really 3.5 stars...
Despite moving to the left coast from NYC about a year and a half ago, I'm still having trouble adjusting to the pizza out here and at one point must learn to accept that it's just different. Regardless, I must stick to my philosophy that any pizza is better than no pizza at all.
Last night I was struck by a massive craving for Round Table's Gourmet Veggie pizza but could not bring myself to pay the astronomical price for a teeny tiny pizza - enter Pronto Pizza. After checking out the veg options from many other pizza joints in the area, I settled on the Spinacio pizza from Pronto; it includes spinach, olives, red onion, fresh tomatoes, and feta with red sauce, rejoice! Believe it or not, it's hard to find veg pizza options other than the standard without green peppers and with red sauce.
The quality of the pizza was decent, not overly cheesy and greasy as some have expressed here. The price was very reasonable and they delivered in less than 45 minutes. I'm sold. -

Good.
Price: Reasonable
Portions: Generous
Quality: Thin greasy NY style pizza
Service: Excellent
This is a good quality pizza place. Their NY style thin pie is excellent. I had the slices that were reheated and they hit just the right spot. Plus, the guys behind the counter are quite nice and friendly. The best part is that this place costs quite a bit less than other "NY Style" pizza places. I recommend it. -

Come here after midnight and you will most likely see large groups in dressy attire usually fresh from a club or lounge.
Like one of my favorite taquerias, this place has always been related with alcohol. Maybe because its open till 3 in the morning and its the closest thing between Union Square and Nob Hill that's open and halfway decent.
I can't recall the last time I've been here sober - haha! So I cannot say for sure how good the pizza tastes - since almost anything tastes great when your a bit tipsy! I do love the veggie pesto with garlic.
Overall - its not pricey, the garlic bread is great, and they are usually pretty quick even during late night when they get busy. -

Got the Green pizza, artichokes, garlic, and pesto. Mm, fresh, good and hot. I could really taste the garlic, it was freshly grated.

It's late at night and my friends and I have arrived at my apartment after a long and tiring concert. We're starving and are way too lazy to leave my place. We decided to try Pronto for their late-night delivery. Didn't get the pizza though - we were all craving for cheeseburgers.
We ordered off of http://eat24hours.com. There was this deal where we could get free garlic bread or salad. I think there were other choices, too. 4 of my friends ordered their cheeseburgers medium, and 2 of us ordered ours medium-rare.
Burgers were okay. Fries were surprisingly really good! We opted for free garlic bread but they gave us the salad instead! We were pretty disappointed about that... Our burgers weren't marked either, so we didn't know which ones were medium and which ones were medium rare.
Overall, it was okayyyy. Definitely gonna try their pizza one time. I didn't expect their burgers to be amazing or anything, since they are a pizzeria. -

A friend and I hit this place up after a long night of partying it up at KMR.
You cannot beat fresh pesto pizza at two o'clock in the morning. It was packed, too!!! The wait for my order was a little longer than expected, but it did not matter because I was intoxicated and had fun observing all of the drunk people eat their pizza.
The prices were reasonable, too! -

I looked him straight in his eyes.
"You guys have the best pizza!"
He was confused, but I didn't care.
"One slice of the Hawaiian."
Located in the seedy tenderloin, it is easy to bypass Pronto Pizza. The lack luster exterior simply did not scream pizza king.
For those from the suburbs, your pizza excursion includes an adventurous outing.
Grab a slice, hi-five Stacey the tranny, head over to an "Oriental Message" parlor. All in a days work.
While working at California Culinary Academy just a few blocks down, I can still recall my cubicle monkey days. We had a "meeting just to set another meetings."
Each meeting we had Pronto Pizza, I ate at least four slices and that was the birth of my sake belly.
back to the present.
Caressing my Hawaiian pizza slice ($3.25) , the features still remain. No greasy residue, but instead, a dry crispy thin crust.
The savory ham slices balance so ever well with sweet pineapple. The cheese adds a nutty note.
One bite, I had reached comfort food heaven.
Tip: Pizza taste better straight out of the oven. Pizza delivered in cardboard box adds moisture from the heat making the crust soggy. Ask the pizza restaurant to cut a small hole (slither) as a vent.
I posted a photo on my blog. -

I rarely crave for pizza. And when I do, I don't want no healthy, good-for-you pizza. I want the works!! A fat slab of cheese oozing, topping overflowing, oil dripping piping hot goodness.
Pronto definitely hit the spot. My-oh-my!
7 minutes for my slice, only because it was busy. But definitely worth the wait. They have premade cheese pizzas and as you order your slice, they load on your toppings and pop it back into the oven. The result? Tongue burning slice of Greco (pesto, olive & feta cheese) with a crispy crust. MmmmMmmmm. I was a very happy girl.
Great lunch deals too! Will definitely go back! -

A little while ago we were trying to find an affordable pizza place that delivered for a big bulk order.
Pronto delivered. In quality, price, and literally. Tthey delivered a stack of delicious piping hot cheee pizas on time, with a smile.
The delivery guy - even high fived me and helped carry them in.
And the best part....
They only charged me a "special coupon discount price" of $10.99 for each extra large pie.
Uh....I don't think Domino's can even match that (if they can...well you're basically paying for cheese covered cardboard)Listed in: Pizza, Pizza in San Francisco

In my drunken Valentines Day stupor...I literally stumbled across the menu for Pronto Pizza. I suggested to Danielle K. that since I bought the drinks...she should buy us a pizza!!!
We called to order for delivery. They won't deliver to us (we live in outer richmond.) Ok...whatever...we'll go and pick it up. As we are looking at the menu we notice they are at Van Ness and Eddy...but they tell Danielle K. that they are located at Geary and 6th. Lol....it went something like this...
DK: So Geary and 6th?
Pronto Pizza Man: Yes, Geary and 6th
DK: Ok, so Geary and 6th?
PPM: Yes, Geary and 6th
DK: Are you sure, Geary and 6th?
PPM: YES, GEARY AND 6th!
So we drove to Van Ness and Eddy (with a broken headlight, might I add....sorry red jeep, I thought I was in reverse) VIOLA! Pronto Pizza is, in fact, at Van Ness and Eddy....NOT Geary and 6th....
We tell the guy we have a coupon for free garlic bread....
PPM: The coupon is only good for delivery
Tiffany Y and Danielle K: Well...you wouldn't deliver to us
PPM: Sorry
TY: Well, will you give us a discount for giving us the wrong address? Or how about a cute girl discount?
PPM: No.
Fuckers.
We ordered the "Sarah's favorite." Not really sure who Sarah is....but it definitely wasn't Tiffany's favorite. No cheese...the toppings sucked and the crust tasted like it was dipped in chlorine. I was pretty much the Michael Phelps of 10 year old girls, so I know what chlorine tastes like.

It said "Pronto Pizza & Espresso" on the menu flyer rubber-banded to my building's heavy metal door, but I snatched the flyer anyway. Pizza AND Espresso? Who thought up that combo?
Anyhow, that was only the first thing to make me nervous about ordering from here. I get suspicious whenever a pizza place also does burgers (Pronto does). Or espresso, for that matter. "Do one thing and do it well" is my pizza philosophy.
But I was craving pizza and this was the only coupon I could dig up. I figured I'd check its reviews and decide from there. And that's when I read Amanda S's favorable 4-star review...she weighed in the pros and cons and convinced me it was worth a shot. Also, she mentions cute Brazilian delivery boys. SOLD!
I was even more unsettled at having to repeat everything to the man taking my order because of how noisy it was in the background. I read him my credit card numbers and hoped he heard me when I asked to have the driver call me upon arrival since our doorbell is out of commission. I thanked him when he quoted 30-35 minutes, hung up, and held my breath.
...
Score! The pizza arrived in just 25 minutes, was warm and tasty (not the best pizza ever, but for cheap pizza it did just fine), and the garlic bread was spongy and yummy. My expectations, low as they were, were greatly exceeded. And yes, the delivery boy was perilously close to becoming an extra topping--cute indeed! -

So I have to start my review off on how we even heard of this place.
After a long night of dancin' our asses off in the club, my room mate and I were looking for a place to get some grub in the wee hours of the morning.
As we were walking back to our car my room mate had pop a squat (this means take a piss). She apparently found one of their door flyer's on the person's house that she was peeing in front of (hey, a girl's gotta go sometimes, don't hate).
We called them up once we got back to our car. With me being drunk and the guy on the phone not being able to hear or understand me, because of the noise around him, it made for a pretty interesting conversation. Finally we got our order through.
$20 bucks for a large pizza with toppings is a pretty good deal. But I am a pizza lover and this just didn't do it for me. The chicken they used was gross but the rest of the pizza was eh. OK.
I do give them props for being open so late. We may end of venturing back here some day. -

Ah the good ole days of college.
You know, the part where you completely disregard your sense of being health conscious, sleeping regular hours, and....well, you get the picture.
What goes along with above things? That's right ladies and gentleman, delivery.
Now Pronto's offers on site dining, but I never actually partook, and preferred to just sit on my fat ass and push the phone buttons with my lazy sausage fingers instead. GOD DAMN I LOVE DELIVERY YAP.
When I started ordering from Pronto's, it was just pizza. The pizza, while not being the best I've ever had, was never bad, and always arrived faster than they told you it would over the phone. Not just a little faster either, they always told me 45 minutes, and it was rarely ever more than 20 minutes....that's like (insert math here) percent faster than what they said! FUCK YEAH.
Now here is what kept me loyal to Pronto's until the day I moved out of delivery distance. 3am or later delivery. THREE. A. M. When you're sitting at your computer at 2:30 in the morning, and you realize you're starving and need food, else you might actually strangle the nearest cute fuzzy aminal you can find, there aren't many options. Thankfully there's Pronto's.
"Pronto's Pizza how can I help you?"
"I HAVE AN EMERGENCY, IT IS VERY LATE AND I NEED LASAGNA AT MY DOOR STAT."
"Can I get your phone number please?"
"YES IT'S 302 507-"
"Oh hey Zack! Sure thing man, it'll be there in about 45 minutes."
".........oh. Ok good...um, thanks!"
That's right, they knew me by name at the first 6 digits of my phone number. Can you SAY good service?! These guys are amazing!
Sure enough, in about 20 minutes, the phone rings, and there is not only a steaming hot portion of lasagna, but a box of cheesy garlic sticks and a two liter bottle of orange Fanta. I didn't even have to order it, they just knew that's what I was going to order.
With service like that, the quality doesn't even NEED to be as good as it was.
Oh how I miss thee, Pronto's. :[
Seriously though folks, if you live in delivery distance, this place is legit, so I suggest you check it out. -

This pizza was better than what I can get out in the Sunset district late at night. They are open daily from 11 am to 3am. I was glad I was with a group of friends because the location plus some of the clientele would make me nervous if I were alone.
We had two veggie pies, ( the Greco and Sarah's favorite). I thought Sarah's favorite was grubbin. It was chicken, pesto, onions and roasted red peppers. Some folks ordered some of the sandwiches. They also offer pasta dishes as well as appetizers like jalapeno poppers & hot wings. They do not sell any beer or wine. oh well we got our grub on and went back to drinking at a bar. -

I love pizza. I also stay up late. When I forget to eat until after 3 a.m., I have to resort to Mr. Pizzaman. When I forget to eat until midnight or so, I have many options. But when I forget to eat until around one, Pronto Pizza's my boy.
I used to really hate the pizza from this place. Maybe it was just because I was sick of ordering from the same place, but once I laid off on the pizza delivery for a while and started ordering from here again, I found that I really liked it.
The sauce is just all right, but the ingredients are really fresh, and they deliver pretty quickly.
UPDATE: 7/5/08
==============
I'm dropping this place to three stars--and I might drop it down even further--because they keep screwing up my orders. One or two times is annoying but understandable, but four straight orders? And when you don't have the kind of soda that I asked for, please let me know beforehand; don't just show up at my door with a soda that I will never drink.
UPDATE: 12/14/08
==============
OK, I've had it with Pronto Pizza. They've screwed up my orders so many times in a row now, it's as if they're trying to piss me off. The last three times I've ordered, I've gotten the wrong thing, and the pizza has been runny and not very good. No more. Ever.Listed in: Pizzas of San Francisco, Food after Midnight

I'm pretty picky about my pizza, being from the east coast, where pizza is an art form.
Pronto is pretty good. It's mostly NY-style thin crust. Crust is ever so slightly crispy (not soggy), cheese is great, and it's the right amount of greasy (slightly, but not dripping like mad). The sauce was good, but not great, hence the slightly lower rating. It's a shame, because the sauce is the most important part.
I had a slice of cheese pizza ($2.30). You really can tell a lot about a pizza place by their plain ol' unadulterated cheese pizza.
Extra bonus: they're open until 3am every night, and are 2 blocks from my apartment. -

Say, "F my South Beach Diet" and just come here for a late night eat.
This was better than the pizza I tried in New York or maybe I was just hungry and drunk. Either way, it was good! They have free delivery, which is awesome. I should have just asked them to deliver it to my car. LOL.
I didn't think too much of this place since not many late night eats are all that great. Trusted my friends word and came here after Bambuddha Lounge (horrible spot).
3 drunk people + 1 large combo pizza & garlic bread = FAT heaven
FYI.. if you've never eaten here then grab the coupons they have laying around. It's a way better deal than ordering off the menu.Listed in: San Francisco & Sausalito
