OMG!
pizza tasted good but PUH leez
get your act together.
There aren't many or should I say I think this is the only pizza joint in Copper, but its pretty good. The bummer is that it is for sale...so someine with dollas plesae buy and keep it going. It right next to a sports pub, so you can get your drink on after feeding your face.
Pizza place is ok. Pizza is ok. Service ok. Just ok
You spend hours in the car, driving from Yosemite to Napa. You pass through some beautiful sites and some awfully boring sites.. and you think "damn, no one said it took so long to drive across California".
You are hungry. The rest of your crew is hungry. You suddenly come to a place called Copperopolis - and wonder what the hell you are doing pulling off the road. You walk into a dingy "sports bar" where the music stops and all eyes are on you. You wimper "umm, do you serve food?" and of course they don't, but a scruffy dude tells you the pizza place next door does.
You bolt next door.. to a bright, friendly pizza place. You (maybe) are from the East Coast and cannot undesrstand why everone is so friendly here, but what can you do besides order and accept that there are friendly people in the world. Ok, in many, many places - just not where you are from.
Anyway... surprisingly good pizza, sandwiches, and wings! All three were great, but I must say I was truly impressed with the pizza. I am a pizza snob, and they did very well here. Awesome crust and very good cheese. I guess those "happy cows" really do live in California.
The owners are great, and after speaking with the girl who was running the store, turns out her husband is from (gasp) JERSEY. It does explain alot about the good food! She was even cool enough to recommend the new REI that had opened, which was more/less on our way to our destination.
If I ever find myself in Copperopolis again.. I'm going back to Pizza Plus - no doubt about it.
What a surprise to find an entire Italian eatery menu at this little pizza place (or so I thought).
I ordered the Chicken Ciabata Sandwich with pesto mayo and potato salad, hubby ordered the spicy chicken wings and son ordered pizza bread with dipping sauce.
All of us were happy with our meals and I told the owner (very nice lady) that I'd place a review on here!
Only downfalls, no delivery and no website ordering! (ok, I'm a spoiled city gal)
Sadly....Primos is closed....go for Mountain Mike's in Angel's Camp - it is better anyway.
The pizza is like MYSTIC Pizza!!! We love it! Kids love it too!!
