Ah the memories I get thinking of this place. I swam here for about 6 years, I think. I actually learned how to swim by one of the instructors throwing me off the diving board. Then I joined the swim team. The coaches at this place are the best I could have had. Very effective.
The pool area is... typical urban. Not a place to vacation. During open swim, kids pee, there is grease on the top of the water, and sometimes weird things are found. Like poo, twix bars thrown in to masquerade as poo, and one time a raw squid. No Joke. The locker room is smelly, and I would really avoid showering here. Park bathroom, anyone?
The upside is that this place is cheap beyond cheap. 25 cents to get in for open swim, and 45 a month for swim team every day of the week for 2 hours. Nice deal
