The food at Prime One Twelve  is positively outstanding. I base this on the kobe beef meatballs, bone-in ribeye, truffled french fries, creamed spinach and fried oreos. Just looking at pictures of other selections makes my mouth water.

But more than the food, I must applaud them for their above-and-beyond service. I am currently in a unique situation - after coming to Miami on vacation, I broke my water at 29 weeks pregnant, and have been on bed rest at Mount Sinai for 5 weeks. I am now scheduled to be induced, and my husband wanted to plan a special, last supper of sorts before the big day.

Prime One Twelve came through big time, comping us those meatballs I spoke of, and DELIVERING the food to the hospital (via the hands of chef Mike Sabin!). That a restaurant of this caliber would even think twice about my situation and accommodate it in such an above and beyond way is unheard of.

Prime One Twelve - you're a classy joint.

I went here to check out the seen. Any night here you will see a celebrity or athlete when you go.

We made reservations, they still make you wait a long time on the weekend. We waited an extra  hour before we were seated. But that's OK, because it's part of the whole experience. I think they make more money from the drinks they sell to the patrons waiting to be seated.

Once you're seated, the service is usually pretty good, and so is the food. The filet mignon was my favorite, well-seasoned. The notable sides arethe baked potato and the truffle mac & cheese. My favorite place south of 5th on Ocean

It's difficult to review this place because of all the hype. So you begin to question if the hype let you down or if indeed my personal dining experience.
I have to say, i need to re-visit to clearly determine.

The place is great in it's own right. Great menu, a distinct selection of prime cuts of beef, including a numerous selection of Kobe cuts. Additionally, the menu is loaded w/ a wonderful appetizers and sides. (The broccoli and parm stuffed beefsteak tomatoes are to die for!)

My g/f ordered the f/mignon 8oz which was delectable, tender, and buttery smooth. I went out on a limb and being the urger freak that I am, I ordered the 1Lb. Kobe steak burger, medium. It was HUGE! I felt like the guy from Man Vs. Food (Adam) from the Travel channel. however, to my disappointment, it really wasn't all that great. The patty was not tender, not much flavor to it, and quite frankly, the second half of the burger (Yes, I only ate half of it) after warming up in my oven, tasted slightly better w/ ketchup/mayo.

All in all, I will be going back. Definitely not for the KOBE burger but to try the steaks, which is what I should of done the 1st time.

I'll keep you folks posted on part II.

I went to Prime One Twelve expecting a delicious meal and fantastic atmosphere and it's exactly what I got! I loved the crowd at the bar while I waited to be seated, the bartender was attentive and friendly, and the meal was outstanding.  I had the lobster bisque, filet mignon, and sweet potato mash.  Definitely a place I'll try again.

I'm sure people are going to hate me for saying this, but Prime One Twelve just isn't all that good of a steakhouse. This place is more of a place to be seen at, rather than a place to get a great steak. The dining room is cramped (on purpose, I'm sure) and you have to book several weeks in advance to get a table. If you're looking for a good steak, you're better off going to Ruth's Chris, which makes a far superior steak.

Quick note: Skip the deep fried oreos for dessert. I thought it would be great, but all that happens when you deep fry an oreo is that it gets all mushy and gross. The batter totally overwhelmes the oreo flavor and it just takes like a crappy donut.

I don't see what the big deal is here.  Hasn't anyone been to a good steakhouse before?  My dismay began the second I walked in the door.   After reading all the fab reviews and "hearing" all the good things, this restaurant does not stand up to all the hype.  The decor is blah along with the design of the restaurant.

My adventure began on Saturday with a reservation at 9:30.  The place was packed, but not with Miami's elite crowd; it was all tourists.  No beautiful people here this Saturday.  To top it off there was a 5 to 1 ration of men to women!  We waited an hour and a half for a table.  The wait time is no big deal for me, as long as I am comfortable and having a great time.  Like when you go to The Forge-- half the fun is the people watching (if you know what I mean).  Unfortunately, the design of the place is terrible, so many spots are two or three people deep, and often it is next to others enjoying their meal.  It's like your hovering over ones table and being shuffled around like the cattle that is soon to be your dinner.

I was super excited to see the waiters uniforms as one yelper said they were cool.  I don't know why beer gutted men with burgundy suspenders is cool, or even attractive.  Gross was more like it!  The menu had a large variety of food which is great.  We ordered the scallops (yum), Kobe meatball (fair), and the bone-in filet (left us feeling disappointed).  The prices were fine, as long as your willing to pay big $$$$ for a great steak.  I was hoping to have the fried oreos, but changed my mind.  I couldn't take much more disappointment.  Needless to say, I will not be coming back.

Prime 112 is Miami institution, just like Joe's.  It's a see and be seen kind of place, with prices to match.  I'd never been jonesing to spend a boat-load of cash on a meal that I'd heard mixed reviews about, but a good friend heard the guys on PTI (that's Pardon the Interuption on ESPN, for all you non-sports aficianados) talk about it, he'd been on my case to hit it up on his next visit down here.

We had originally made reservations for a Saturday night, but by the time it rolled around, it was pouring rain outside, and neither of us were in the mood for it.  Instead, we went back for an early dinner on Sunday, without a reservation.  At that time, our options were to sit outside (it was raining again) or at the bar.  We opted at the bar.  And I really think that made our dining experience a winner.

First of all, the bar snack is bacon!  Yes, that's right, bacon.  As much as you want, at no extra charge!  Score!!  Their drink selection is pretty awesome, and the prices aren't too bad (about typical for South Beach).  I opted for their specialty mai tai, and it was fruity and refreshing.  My friend just had some high-end rum, cause that's his thing (Ron Zacapa, maybe).

For dinner, we opted to split a soup (tomato-basil) and salad (beets, arugula, and goat cheese croutons) for starters.  They were both out-of-this-world good.  I could probably eat that salad every day for the rest of my life (or a month, at least!).

We opted to split the small filet mignon as our entree, and ordered the creamed spinach and parmesan gratin potatoes as sides.  The steak was cooked to medium-rare perfection.  There was a nice crust on the outside, and the meat itself was melt-in-your-mouth good.  My friend insisted on ordering the house steak sauce, but I didn't try it, cause I'm a firm believer that a good cut of meat needs no additions.

Unfortunately, we were way too full for dessert, but a group of people down the bar from us ordered the fried oreos and the bread pudding, and they both looked and smelled amazing!  Definitely a must for next time.

I don't know if I'd come back for a full-on meal, as I think you can get as good (or better) of a steak elsewhere for less money.  But I'll definitely be back to try the desserts, and to get some more bacon at the bar!

I've heard all the hype about this restaurant, so I wanted to experience it myself. Needless to say I was not all that impressed. There were a couple nice touches throughout the night but all in all I have experienced much better in this price range. We ordered a filet each. the lobster truffle mac and cheese, and the spinach, Everything had a fatty residue, oil, grease, butter, etc. If youve ever had Ruth Chris Steak than never order steak from this steakhouse! Expected better flavor other than salt and grease but it was... edible none the less.  I guess this is a see and be seen establishment which I think in SoBe means see a lot of botched shot up woman with much older men! HAHA Is this the real world?? I laughed my ass off all through dinner! At least the company was entertaining......other than that I guess I can check it off my list! Not so exciting!

This restaurant represents every thing that is wrong with dining on Miami Beach. The food is not that great. It's over priced. The crowd is cheesey. Women with plastic surgery every which way I looked and corny guys hoping to talk to them. Peter Luger in Brooklyn, NY is far superior. If you make a reservation and they ask you to wait for more than 15 minutes, head for the door...

We chose Prime One Twelve for our last night of our honeymoon after reading many amazing reviews on yelp and chowhound.  Our experience with the restaurant was mixed, but overall I'm giving them a favorable review.

We could only get an 11pm reservation on a Saturday night because we didn't book it until Saturday afternoon.  Our mistake.  But when we showed up at 11pm we were made to wait until midnight before we were seated.  All the while people would show up in Ferraris or limos and be rushed right to a table right from their car.  I even saw one guy approach one of the hostesses and say to her "can you get us your next table?"  She appeared to know the guy, who seemed like he could have been a celebrity, but was definetly very rich, and she said "I'll see what I can do."  He and his companion sat down before we did.

The whole place was a scene.  The foyer was packed with people waiting for tables and outside on the sidewalk was an even bigger crowd.  Everyone was well dressed and well connected it seemed.

Eventually we were seated after standing around for an hour.  Our waiter had no sooner taken our orders that a hostess came over and asked us if we would move to another table so she could give our table to another party.

Ordinarily I don't let things like this bother me.  I want to make life easier for the hardworking restaurant staff whenever I can.  But after everything else we had experienced so far, it seemed like a big slap in the face.

Fortuantely I glanced over at our waiter, Dominic, and he looked mortified.  It was clear that he not only knew she was going to do that, but clearly was upset that she did.  We agreed to move, and then Dominic came over and apologized and offered us free drinks, dessert, whatever.  We declined but were happy that he offered.

I ordered a filet, my wife ordered the chilean sea bass and we got both the stuffed tomato and the beet salad sides.  This proved to be an obscene amount of food, way too much!!

The tomatoes were nothing special, but the beet salad with the goat cheese "croutons" was out of this world.  Dominic asked us when we ordered it if we had ever had it before and when we told him we hadn't he said "you are in for a surprise."  He was right.

The "croutons" were pretty big balls of soft goat cheese cooked with a pecan crust around them.  They were incredibly rich and delicious and went perfectly with the beets.

My filet was decent.  It was covered in salt, clearly cooked with the salt, which surprised me for such a well-regarded steak house, but it was still good.  The sea bass was outstanding, the best fish we had in south florida the entire week.

After we finished, Dominic brought out a bread pudding for us without us asking.  I thought this was a pretty classy move.  We had declined to take the free dessert when asked, but he brought it out anyway.  It was a huge bread pudding, and it was rich and delicious.  We couldn't eat more than a couple of bites of it because we were so full.  But if you love bread pudding I'd suggest saving room.

When the bill came, I was excited to see that we came in under $200.  I was prepared to pay more and was so pleased that we got a first class meal for such a bargain, despite the b.s. we went through getting to our chairs.

Also, when we left this place close to 2am it was still hopping.  And the owner was in the place going from table to table hobknobbing with the guests.

This is definitely the place to see and be seen. You're pretty much guaranteed to see a celebrity or athlete when you go. Last time we went, we saw the guys from American Idol (Simon, Randy and Ryan). The time before that, we saw T.I.

Definitely make reservations, but don't hold them to it on a Friday or Saturday night. Be prepared to wait an extra two hours before you're seated. But that's OK, because it's part of the whole experience. Just get some drinks from the bar, kick-back and do some of the best people watching on South Beach.

Once you're seated, the service is usually pretty good, and so is the food. The filet mignon is excellent, well-seasoned. The notable sides are the tater tots and the truffle mac & cheese. Look out of the burger, it's enormous! Bigger than a plate! And tastes good, too!

1. The wine list--nice
2. Unique Cocktails--nicer
3. The Steak--Straight Money!
4. The sides--Meals in and of themselves

It is really simple, if you are a fan of innovative Steakhouses, this is a must visit!  If you simply want a steak, stick with one of the chain restaurants and order it well done.

Agree with all the negative reviews here:

Consistently need to wait extra 60 minutes even with reservation

Food has the potential to be good but is often poorly executed (temperature of steaks is off, food comes out cold)

Overpriced and generic wine list

Crappy service

Crowd is cheesy (really not worth the hype)

I don't eat meat but I'm a fan of Prime 112. Is it because everyone always seems to order too much food and I get to take a doggy bag home? Or is it because I'm a sucker for their sweet potato mash and Oreo Tempura Cookies?

Please, trust me, do your best to save some room for the Oreo Tempura dessert. I always get so mad with myself when I eat too much lobster, truffle fries, and the amazing walnut and apple salad (enough for three people).

There were several things on the menu that were good - steak, sea bass, kobe sliders. There were several things that weren't good - foie gras, tuna, all sides, ceviche. There was one thing that was great - fried oreos with french vanilla ice cream.

This is a pretty typical power steakhouse. Lots of flash, not a lot of substance. It was crowded and cramped. Service was nice but a little slow (which is funny because when we were done they all but broomed us out the door). There are a lot of things I might like to try on the menu but I'm not sure it's worth it.

This is a see an be seen kind of place and I'm not sure you'll see me here again. I give it a slightly upturned face.

After arriving in Miami late in the evening on my birthday, I unfortunately found that most of the restaurants I had planned on trying were no longer serving dinner. However, I was excited to find that Prime 112 was still serving dinner. The weird part was that upon entering and asking the hostess if they were still serving dinner she seemed confused and after checking with someone told us no. Very quickly afterward, another woman, possibly a a manager berated her and informed us that they were still open.

Food/quality:
Upon sitting down and viewing the crowd here and the menu, I felt like I had unexpectedly ended up in a place where I would enjoy the best steak. Quite frankly, I was unimpressed with my steak. It was cooked medium rare as I ordered it, but it was burnt and dry on the outside. I barely touched the sides, particularly the broccoli. When I ordered it, I didn't expect to have huge uncut chunks smothered in cheese that were awkward to eat. The creme brulee for dessert was just ok, but I enjoyed the mint chocolate cookie-like chunks included with it. Overall, the champagne we ordered was the best thing we ordered.

Service:
Aside from the hostess situation, the service was very impressive -pleasant, efficient and detail-oriented.

Atmosphere:
I don't have to say much here as other reviewers have covered it. This restaurant was full of people (women) who wanted to be seen in trendy outfits.

Value:
I didn't feel like this was a good value for two people, unless it was just a bad night for the quality of the food.

Service was impeccable, floor very crowded (people bumping into me and my party), wine list excellent but pricey, and menu pricey as well.  This said, the quality all very good.  Must valet if you are driving, and this is pricey as well.  My party enjoyed their meal very much, the steaks were cooked perfectly, and all in all, a good and memorable experience, just not the best ever in the world, and for these world class prices, I compare this to other places in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco.

Prime One Twelve is one of my favorite places to go....

The services is spot on.  The food is to die for.
Get a table outside at sunset and a good bottle of wine - sheer bliss!

My last meal there consisted of the following:
Shrimp Cocktail, Kobe Steak, Truffle fries, Oreo Tempura...
Large portions.
Well worth the money!
The Kobe steak was melt in your mouth wonderful.
Salads at lunch are also a hit.
There is something for everyone on this menu, not to mention the wine list is quite extensive and the selection is good.

Sadly this place did not live up to the expectations created by the Prime 112 devotees around Miami and the world. I found myself here at what by many accounts is the best steak house in Miami (aka land of 10,000 steakhouses) last week for a late lunch with friends. The place was practically empty so as I walked in I thought this would be one of those meals fondly remembered for its gastronomic goodness for some first timers.

Having heard everyone including several yelpers extoll the extravagance and deliciousness of the macaroni-n-cheese I knew I had to have it, carby and cheesy sounded perfect for some starving girls. We paired the five cheese truffle mac with some kobe beef sliders and the truffle-oil fries. It was a truffle oil packed time. I've always adhered to the school of thought that everything tastes better with love he-he just kidding, on a serious note I thought everything tastes better when you're hungry, mind you if this is the case then that does not bode well for Prime 112.

Our dishes arrived, the fries were a huge serving perfect for splitting but as I bit into my first fry I thought that was ok and then lo and behold that same sentiment echoed throughout lunch. Yes, yes, there was no "ahhh" moment with the golden, white light not even an "aha" Oprah moment, there wasn't even a moment were the word "best" crossed my mind. Wait I lie, my dining companions and I all asked each other and "This supposed to be "the best"?" Let's hope not. In fact we didn't finish any of the dishes on the table and hardly dented our fries however, let me be the first to day that I'd prefer a smaller serving with more taste. As for the much loved mac, also nothing exceptional. The meal was so unspectacular that we went elsewhere for dessert.

Ultimately, the question is would I return?
Maybe, but not before mentioning my overall thought on this place: I've had better and better with a lower price point.

After visiting Prime 112 for dinner last night, I was reminded of why I love it so much. The tuna tartare appetizer was delicious, the filet mignon was perfect, and their burger is probably the biggest i've ever seen. Prime 112 boasts an extensive wine list and so many scrumptious desserts that it makes it near impossible to chose one! The most delicious item i've tried so far is the truffled mac & cheese. It is so wonderfully delicious I think i'll be having mac & cheese dreams for the rest of the week! If maintaining my waist line wasn't such a concern i'd go there twice a month. The portions are so huge you're guaranteed a plentiful doggie bag! Prime 112 is DEFINITELY worth a visit!

i cannot believe i hadnt reviewed prime 112.. when im recommending it all the time!!

so the jumbo shrimp are huge and super fresh.
there is a salad there (cant recall the name) its the best salad ive ever had in my life, literally. it has apples and nuts and the dressing is deliciously divine!
the filets are great, tender and juicy and grilled just right. i got suckered into getting one of the sauces. totally unnecessary and honestly a waste of money. the steak is better without it.
the sweet potato mash was really good as was the asparagus.
then on to dessert. oreos (my fave cookie) and fried with ice cream... omg i must have died and gone to heaven.

this place is very expensive and a total be-seen kinda place but its worth the experience every now and then. my only pet peeve is that it so crowded. hello really do you have to squeeze so many tables together. i had to get up to let the ppl next to me out. quite ridiculous for such a high end place.

oh.my.god.

What is the deal with Miami? Are all of you insane?

I've never seen a scene like this. Old coots with young girls fresh from breast augmentation surgery. Tables crammed into narrow hallways, right next to the bathroom. A bar so narrow that yes, someone is going to rub up against you, and you probably won't like it. Old ugly dudes with too much money offering drinks to young women who know better.

This place was my idea of purgatory. For those of you unfamiliar with words of more than two syllables, "personal hell"  will work too.

To be fair, the food was good, but not great, and suffered from an overreliance on and a heavy hand with truffle oil. STOP THE MADNESS!. Appetizers we ordered included crab cake with way too much mayo, a majestic tower of cold shellfish, way overdone foie gras, Kobe "sliders", and deviled eggs. Of those, the Shellfish tower was the only truly perfect dish - how could you go wrong during stone crab season? The deviled eggs were also very good but were redolent -- no, STANKY,  with truffle oil.

(as an aside - my caproinha was very good...but my boobs weren't big enough to get refills for free).

Our entrees were too big. My salmon entree (supposedly wild) was enough to feed a small family. The grill marks were unappealing and amateurish - no cross hatch, just a simple chunky dark line. My potatoes were doused in truffle oil, which made me gag.

The sides were more fun to eat, but again were over-truffled. Creamed corn was dripping with truffle oil. At least the broccoli, served plain with a cheese sauce on the side, was completely plain. No truffle, no garlic...and no salt. Bless you Prime 112 for doing something without canned panache.

Desserts were a disaster. They were far too large, inelegant, and clunky to cap off an otherwise average meal. Our bread pudding was big enough to serve the same family mentioned above. A chocolate 'pudding' cake was more 'goo' than 'pudding', bananas foster cheesecake was the largest slice of cheesecake I'd ever seen, accompanied by a sloppy plate of gooey bananas, presumably cooked in the style of foster.

For a meal just a few steps above cheesecake factory, Prime 112 is not a good value. And for those who want to be seen -- by all means, please do go to this place. Presumably you won't be eating and you'll be spared the offense of paying too much for ample servings of mediocre fare.

Just finished my first meal at Prime 112 and I'm sitting here trying to figure out if it was my best meal ever. It might have been.

My wife and I had:
Arugula salad with goat cheese croutons
Tuna tartare
Filet with gorganzola butter
NY Strip
Brochilli with cheese sauce
5 cheese truffle mac
Cocunut sorbet

All but the tuna tartare were excellent, which wasn't bad at all. Just wasn't excellent. The arugula salad was plenty for two people. The 28 day aged steaks were amazing and the sauces / butters listed as accessories are unnecessary. The brochilli was huge and although I usually don't love it I found myself going back for more. The truffle mac was divine and last but not least, the sorbet was excellent. The perfect light compliment to a dinner full of rich flavor.

All in all, an amazing place with the food to back it up.

the recommendation of this steak house was too great..., I was so excited. But seriously I've had it much better than this.
I had "featured appetizer" by the chef which was pretty good. its three scallops with braised short rib with some sauce.
for my entree, me and my husband, we ordered porter house for 2 which was okay too but the temperature of the dish couldn't hold the meat warm long enough compare the places I've been to. so towards the end the meal the meat became little rubbery and nasty. ( we like it med-rare) anyhow, how can you eat without side dishes, sometimes it makes up for the ugly entrees, we ordered Grilled Asparagus: no flavor, plz don't order it not worth it. Creamed spinach, spinach was sorta rough for me, I'm used to melting sensation spinach in the mouth. so that was no good. then onion rings..... how can you go wrong with rings? well I will tell you, doughy!!!! it has got better after the onion rings cooled down but when it just came to our table... you can only taste the dough not the onion. of course i should have listen to out waiter and order the mac and cheese but i couldn't trust anyone at this time.
then we went for Fried Oreos as dessert. Five fried oreo with vanilla ice cream. I only liked the first ball and my husband finished the rest of the balls. Over all the services were better than Nemo or any other restaurant we've been to in South Beach. or I've just got a nice, honest waiter at Prim 112. Who knows?!?!

Bacon at the bar.  Need I say more?!

Prime 112 is located within the historic "brown's hotel"  which I have never heard of nor do i understand why this place is considered to be historic, unless the Brown's hotel was also known for fleecing it's customer's in the days of yore.  But i digress, this is a posh spot that's always crowded and even if you have a reservation, there's a good chance you're going to have to wait, so why not sit at the bar and munch on some bacon with that fine wine.  I'd even go as far as to recommend you stick your pinky out.  As it's owned by the same people who brought us Big Pink, there has to be some culinary value to it.

There's a fine assortment of meats and seafood on the menu and keep in mind that everything is a la cart, so all the sides are separate.  I can recommend the mac and cheese, the maduros baked in rum and.. bugger it, all the sides here are good.  Eat them all.  The steaks... they could be better, the place is very hit or miss in this department so cross your fingers.  But when it's good, it's really good.

The dessert's are great.  There's a few things on there I've had, the most memorable are the milk and cookies.  scoff away if you like, these giant warm cookies and a cold glass of milk are the perfect way to prepare you for the upcoming terror that is your bill.

(Part of the "I MISS MIAMI" series of Yelp reviews)

This place is like, totally like, what's the word?! TRENDY!!! Show up in your CU-test outfit; something short, tight and revealing, if you want to be noticed. The crowd is 90% - people who want / need to be seen, and 10% people who are really there to enjoy a meal. I mean really - I saw at least two Angelina Jolie look-alikes and a Jennifer Gardner wanna-be all on one night, and tons of DOMs (Dirty Old Men) on the prowl. Lots and LOTS of plastic and collagen in there...

Now - if you want to actually enjoy their delicious - perfectly cooked meat and sides, then try wearing something more comfortable. ;-) I usually get the 8 oz. filet mignon with fois gras, and I can recommend ALL their sides (which are served in large portions, family style). I've also tried their kobe beef. Just thinking about it makes me shiver, so de-lish. I've never tried their seafood, which even surprises me because I usually choose seafood before meat...but I haven't heard anything negative. It's a pricey meal, but worth it...on occasion.

Three stars. (I started with 4, but minus 1 just because it's so DAMN crowded in there!!!) Oh! And yes, the hallways are iiiitttty biiiiiitttty.

I wish I could give it 5 stars.  My steak was excellent and with the bacon butter smeared on was truly delicious.

But the only side that I got to try was the lobster mac and cheese.  And it just wasn't that good.  Shula's has a crab mac and cheese that is just so good, maybe the lob mac&cheese just didn't have a shot?

I wanted to get appetizers (kobe mini burgers sound great) and more sides, some sort of potato, but didn't have the stomach to handle it all before a big night on the town.

Will definitely have to get back to Prime 112 to see if they can earn that extra star.

Also... dress to impress, as there were many beautiful women scattered throughout.  Hostess and bartenders included.

My Favorite Steak House!!!!

Choose any cut you can't go wrong.   If you like Lobster you must have the Lobster bisque.  Hands down the best  ANYWHERE!  Be careful you might choke on the chunks of lobster.  It's fantastic.

You can't go wrong in this place.

Best steak I've ever had. My friends and I come here all the time and get excellent service.I love the outfits the waiters wear.  A bit too loud and over crowded.. I feel clusterphobic at times. Make reservations early on the weekends, because telling the front desk people is a disaster. It feels like they are ignoring you and there's no where to sit. I don't trust the Valet parking, I usually park on the streets.

Prime One Twelve is still the place to be seen in South Beach and have a very, very nice meal. I took my W here and we have a wonderful meal. We started with the Kobe Beef Sliders and the Prime One Twelve Salad with its big chunks of bacon (the best sald in SOBE) with the hot cheese and raisin bread; my filet was perfectly cooked which went well with the Truffle Oil Fries, Lobster Macroni and Mushrooms. The fried oreos for dessert were better than I expected. The place was packed and the service was great!

If you don't want to valet your car, there is some metered parking west of Prime One Twelve.

I ate at Prime 112 this December to celebrate something special, the birth of me.

I really like this restaurant. I think I am partially giving it a good rating because of the experience and not necessarily the food and service, so keep this in mind.

We started at th bar where the serve huge water glasses full of bacon for the clients to snack on. Applewood smoked bacon.  Bacon, people, bacon.  The bartender made great drinks but I would not classify her as exactly friendly.

Then we moved on to the dining room and had a great waiter.  He paced everything perfectly.  Food came out slow enough to enjoy the experience but fast enough so it did not seem like we were there forever.

We shared oysters, a scallop appetizer on a small bed of mashed spuds, and 1 filet mignon on the bone and some grilled aspapragus.  Absolutely everything was delicious and well prepared. Not a damn thing to complain about.

Our last night in SOBE, returning from a long drive down to 7-Mile bridge, we stopped in again at Prime 112 and shared some kobe beef sliders.  Damn, those were the bestest sliders I have ever had.  The bun was slightly sweet and they put some caramelized onions in there to accompany the luscious beef.

Very good experiences, both times.  Good food, all around good service.

I love fine dining, but this place is definitely overrated. The food was not all that, average really if you consider the price. I've been to cheaper steakhouses where the service is 10x better, and the food amazing.

1. They brought the cheese fondue for everyone on the table - the melting pot's cheese fondue is much better.
2. appetizer: I had the escargot for appetizer - it was fine... nothing out of this world; my hubs had the onion soup, and felt the same way
3. entree: i had the tuna - nothing amazing; my husband had the 8oz fillet Mignon - it wasn't great, he ordered it medium and they brought it well done, the outside was crispy.
4. dessert: i ordered the smore's - returned it - nuf said!
5. drinks: i had the lycee martini - bad; hubs had a gibson - bad, the only good part of the meal was the cognac he ordered after dinner, but then again, who can mess up pouring a drink from a bottle into a glass.

We went there for our office xmas party. we had the room from 7-9:30 and true, we took longer than 9:30, but there was no other party waiting for the room. The waiter told us he'd bring our desserts in a to-go container b/c our time was up. He even got upset when everyone wanted coffee!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't see what anyone else sees in this restaurant other than being able to say they had a very expensive steak - definitely not worth it, it is not a place I care to ever visit again... needless to mention they had a $25 hot dog - i don't care if it's made w/kobe beef - that's still insultingly ridiculous!!!

To be honest, I wasn't overly impressed with the steak here.  I wonder if I should have ordered the sea bass instead.  The sides were HUGE (and the prices reflect that), but were also just so-so.  I've definitely had better prime rib-eye at other steakhouses, and I could've even ordered "rare" because medium-rare was still pretty tough.  The appetizers were decent (we had tuna tartare), but the real winner would have to be the fried oreos w/ vanilla ice cream (you MUST order that for dessert!)  Nice atmosphere and pretty good service, but it wasn't anything special.

It isn't the restaurant's fault, but sitting outside for lunch feels like a construction zone - there is literally construction going on in every direction.

The food is delicious and the Malbec was a great pairing. I wasn't 100% impressed with their steak sandwich, but then again, I had high expectations. I did, however, love the tomato soup and my friend's lobster bisque was even better! So, despite being known for their beef, I would absolutely return for the soup.

Our last night in Miami my 3 girlfriends and I decided to have a nice dinner. This place was an excellent choice. The service was superb, and the food was delicious. We made reservations and was seated right away. Decided to sit outside to enjoy our last time sitting outside and eating on Ocean's *tear* They had this huge fan blowing, and was getting my hair all tangled up. Asked the waitress to move it or turn it off and she did. Big plus. I ordered the bone in filet. MOUTHWATERING! It  was so moist, and tender. Never had a filet by the bone, even more tender than the regular. The sides were huge, and as good as the steaks. We ordered asparagus, truffle mac and cheese, and scalloped potatoes. The truffle mac was a little to spicy for my taste, I think they added some horseradish. But the scalloped potatoes were DELICIOUS. I was so stuffed from the steak but I kept picking at the potatoes. Yummm. For dessert we ordered Creme Brulee, good also. I liked the presentation, had the creme brulee, fresh fruits and peppermint brownies.

This place is excellent and was a great end to our great vacation *sigh, I miss SoBe*
