I absolutely love this dentist, let's give you an overview:
Front desk: amazing! They are fast, knowledgeable, professional and sweet! They check the day before you arrive to ensure there is no issue with your insurance and they keep their front desk talk to work, instead of loudly talking about personal stuff. They also offer to bring you water!
Appts: you don't wait long, you can make the appt online AND you can confirm your appt via text and receive an email confirmation back!
Doctor: the dentist is awesome, you actually get to see him (instead of working only with his assistants). He's courteous, very knowledgeable and as advertised actually does have state of the art equipment!!
Parking: parking is a little funky being so close to busy Saratoga ave and having a one way driveway for going in and another down the way a bit for leaving (the first time I missed the entrance and went in the one way exit, oopsie!)
Overall love love love this place and I wont go anywhere else unless they just close up shop!! -

I have been gone to many dentists because my inability to stay in one place for too long and I have only had one dentist experience before here that I was comfotable with, which the dentist ended up retiring and I had to be seen by another guy who was not nearly as gentle as the old dentist. So finally after I'd say 12 years of trying to find a good dentist, I find Dr. Pries Dental and I can't be more happy to find this place. #1 the office is super clean. #2 it doesn't have that dental office smell. #3 the whole staff is cool. #4 there's not a million people waiting when you are being seen which means you will be seen when you are scheduled and there's no 45 minutes of waiting in the lobby to be seen. #5 the work is done quickly and painlessly.
By far one of the best Dentist offices I've ever been to! -

I think her name was Jennifer but she cleaned my teeth today and it was the first one I've had professionally in nearly 4 years... yeah gross I know...
She told me some simple steps and taught me the correct way to floss... how can I have lived this long and never have anyone teach me these things. I've been seeing a dentist ever since I could walk!
So glad she did. My teeth feel like new... like they are made of pretty porcelain. I honestly didn't feel like eating lunch right after and that lasted a whole 5 minutes. Look forward to my next teeth cleaning appointment in 6 months!1 Previous Review: Show all »

I do not want to give Pries' Dental Care five stars only because I am selfish and want to keep this gem for myself! Actually Dr. Prius and his staff deserve all five and then some.
I have a deep rooted fear of the dentist that I over came with the care of another great dentist (Dr. Rindge in Los Gatos). Due to insurance company changes I lost touch with his office and I started looking for a dentist that accepts my current insurance. In that search, I have had too many scary and painful experiences with two different offices that brought my phobia back to a whole new level. When my six month check up came due and I had cracked a tooth, I went back to the drawing board and found dentist office number three. The third time was the charm!
From dentist to staff, Pries Dental Care is: Clean, Professional, Organized, Timely, Thorough, Patient and Caring.
I have had several appointments for a crown, two filings and a check up. Dr. Pries takes a reasonable and conservative approach to treatment. I have experienced no pain, I know exactly where my dental health stands and I have conquered my fear once again. The relief of knowing that I have no looming dental disasters in my mouth and that I have found a doctor I TRUST is priceless. -

For me the dentist has never been fun, but a bad experience a few years back left me more scared of the dentist as an adult than I was as a kid! That's why when I moved to the area, I turned to Yelp for consumer reviews about dentists. I decided to go with Pries after seeing the abundant good reviews - and now I know why.
It was the most comfortable I've ever been at a dentist. Dr Pries was extremely informative and careful. He also used technology and procedures I hadn't experienced before (measuring gum depth and inflammation, took pics of my teeth and showed me, etc). He also had a great sense of humor.
On top of all that, when I went to leave I was taken into a room to review my next appointment and a print out of exactly how my insurance coverage worked was waiting for me. I was even told how much I would have to pay out of pocket for certain services, and how much THAT day's visit deducted from my total 'pot' of money from insurance (and how much I had left). I was asked repeatedly if I had any questions or concerns. It was the most informative dentist visit and the most comfortable I've felt at a dentist, too. I am excited I found a dentist for my husband and I so quickly - thanks to Yelp reviews - and hope to pass along the word like it was passed to me! -

iIve been going to Dr. Pries for about 5 years now and I can honestly say I don't plan on changing dentists any time soon! I found them when my last dentist retired and was nervous about finding a new dentist but Dr Pries and his staff are always friendly and remember who you are. My whole family now goes to Dr. Pries and everyone is happy here.
I always feel welcomed and comfortable here. I hate going to the dentist and each time I come they make sure I am comfortable. When I had to get my wisdom teeth out he referred my to a great surgent. Then when i decided to get my teeth whitened it was a great experience. They give you a mold of your teeth and whitening gel to do it at home. I am acutally whitening my teeth as I'm writing this.
But if you want a great dentist and a comfortable enivronment you should go to Dr. Pries!!!!! -

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU'RE A NEW CLIENT LOOKING TO FIND A NEW DENTIST !!!! let me tell you why and start by saying this...In my own mind, the only reason why I would even give this place the required one star review because we made a mistake by missing an appointment. But everything else they did was COMPLETE BS.
In June, my ENTIRE family was looking for a new dentist in this area. I looked on yelp hoping to find someone that was reputable and covered by our dental insurance. Found Pries dental with great reviews and decided to call them.
Called several times during business hours and NO ONE answered then phone. Ok, maybe the receptionist was also the dental assistant and they're all with customers? Whatever.
Called back again and finally spoke to Laura. Initially a seemingly sweet girl who tried to help us figure out if our insurance would work out for everyone in my family. Turns out that only my husband and I are covered with their dental office. Ok let's make an appointment. WHAT?! THE NEXT AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT WAS WHEN?! AUGUST 8th for my husband and 11th for myself. ALMOST 1 1/2 month from the time I called to make those appointments. I accepted the date only because I was tired of doing research looking for a reputable dentist in the area that will take the type of insurance we have. Fine, whatever we made the appointments
Two days before my husband's appointment, they called him to confirm the appointment. Great, we'll be there or at least we planned on it. Come the day of the appointment, we completely lost track of time and it was 5:50 by the time my husband remembered.
A man called us. I called back. No answer at 6pm even though they're open til 7pm. My husband in the last week had a cap that fell off and it needed to be replaced or fixed immediately amongst other things, so in my message, I asked if they could give him my appointment that I had scheduled on Thursday and explained the situation WHILE APOLOGIZING SEVERAL TIMES. 20 mins later, the same guy called back and left a message in an EXTREMELY CONDESCENDING tone of voice basically accusing us of purposely missing the appointment that we waited for for more than a f*cking month. His exact words were "we set aside valuable time for him, so we need for YOU (meaning me) to guarantee that he'll be there on Thursday. Oh and its 6:20 so we're going home now, so you'll have to call us in the morning. We open at 8am." I thought, WAIT ISN'T PRIES DENTAL OPEN TIL 7PM on Tuesdays?
Ok, so I get that their time is valuable and they lost money because they weren't able to see any customers bc my husband wasn't there. Trust me, I chewed my husband out for missing the appointment I worked so hard for and waited so long for. I GET IT!! DO YOU HEAR ME PRIES DENTAL? I F*CKIN' GET IT!
You're probably wondering why I'm giving this god damned dental office one star if it was our fault. well. here's the reason why.
I know that it was our fault for missing the appointment, but like I said, my husband really needed to see a dentist. So I let go of my pride and ignore the tone of voice the man used to call back and APOLOGIZE SEVERAL MORE TIMES and left a message saying that absolutely my husband will be there on Thursday. I also said I'd like to reschedule my appointment for a future date, so it would be great if you can call me back to reschedule that. All of this happened that same day.
Next day, they left a message at 4:45 asking him to confirm the switch for Thursday. The message also said that if he didn't contact them within the next 15 mins they would give the appointment away to someone else on the waiting list. WHAT THE F are you people doing in that office? Don't you guys check your f*cking messages or communicate with each other in regards to your clients? I left a message TELLING YOU THAT I F*CKING GUARANTEE THAT MY HUSBAND WILL BE THERE. HOW THE F*CK DO YOU EXPECT PEOPLE TO CALL YOU BACK IN 15 MINS? PEOPLE F*CKING WORK. THEY CAN'T CALL YOU BACK IMMEDIATELY JUST BECAUSE YOU F*CKING SAID SO. Have you though of the fact that maybe he's driving and it's F*CKING ILLEGAL TO USE YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING?
My husband didn't get it until 5:11. Why? BECAUSE HE WAS WORKING YOU DAMN IDIOTIC PEOPLE. Again, he knew it was his fault for missing the first appointment, so he called back immediately at 5:12 (I checked the call log on the phone). What did they say you might ask? Oh you didn't confirm the appointment within the 15 mins we gave you so we gave the appointment away. He said well, I'm sorry, but I was working. I'm not always able to drop everything to answer a phone call. Alright, so when is your next available appointment? they said for new clients, it'll be September 7. WTF?!
SO PISSED! SHOULDN'T YOU GIVE ME BACK MY APPOINTMENT IF HE DIDN'T CALL YOU IN TIME? Now we both don't have appointments for any dentist and back at square 1.

I just moved to the area and was dreading having to find a new dentist. I am so happy to have found Pries Dental! The entire staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to assist you, from double-checking insurance coverage to trying to fit you in earlier if there is a problem. The facilities are clean and comfortable and they use advanced equipment, such as digital x-rays. When I went in for tooth sensitivity, Dr. Pries even took digital pictures of the tooth to SHOW me what the problem was. When I had to get dental work done, he made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure and thoroughly discussed home care instructions. I feel at ease also knowing there is an emergency contact number available if a problem happens outside of business hours.
If you are looking for a new dentist for a routine check-up, don't be put off if an appointment isn't available right away - take it as a sign of how fabulous the place is and how happy the clientele are. Trust me, this office is worth the wait! If you are new and have a problem, know that they will do their best to get you in as early as they can because they have compassion and don't want you to be in unnecessary pain. -

I just moved to San Jose last November and needed a local dentist.
I found Dr. Pries via Groupon and checked out his Yelp reviews. All good, so decided to give him a try and really glad I did.
I needed a crown and filling, and all went super smooth. No pain and that's what most people look for in a dentist, right? Well, that and great dental care which Dr. Pries and his staff deliver. So professional and caring.
I was in LA when my temp crown came loose. Dr. Pries was not going to be in the office the next day, but he came in early to place my crown before he went to a professional function.
You will love Dr. Pries. And by the way, I come from a family of dentists so I know a thing or two about the subject. -

I like the fact that the office has a fair, but fairly firm policy regarding patients who have a track record of not showing up on time for their appointments. I certainly don't want to be picking up the additional cost in fees being charged to me because of the need to offset such lost opportunity costs. As it is, dentists are expensive enough.
I understand we all have rare true emergencies - car accidents, death, etc. - but for some people it is a habit that they routinely expect others to bear the burden for.
I work with patients in a hospital and am flabbergasted by some people who show up hours late for their exam requiring multi million dollar hardware and several staffing people, and then expect to be done as soon as they arrive. There is not only the issue of major cost impact, but also adversely affecting other patients who did show up when they are supposed to. The late patient typically gets to go after everyone else arriving on time is seen.
I wonder if these same people show up late for a vacation airline flight assuming the plane is going to wait for them?
If you aren't able to show up for your weekday appointments on time, then find an overpriced dentist who works weekends who can afford to accommodate your nature and is willing to inconvenience his/her other patients.
When I had an immediate unplanned for need that couldn't wait, I found Laura very helpful in working me in when they had a short break in the schedule. -

I have been going to see Dr. Pries since I moved into the area. He is a great dentist and very knowledgeable. His office and office staff are very professional and welcoming. I have referred my friends and family to him and everyone has come away with great reviews. My wife never liked going to the dentist and now that we are using Dr. Pries she has no problem going. If you don't have a dentist you can rely on I highly recommend going to see Dr. Pries.

Hello yelpers! So, I have been going to Pries Dental since it opened 5 years ago and all I have to say is I am super satisfied! First off, their front office is great. Laura is so accommodating to mine and my husbands busy schedules. Secondly Dr. Pries is a great dentist. He is honest and really gentle during cleanings. My husband who has dreaded dentists his whole life only has great things to say about Dr. Pries. He is thorough with his cleanings and makes it so easy to understand when he is talking about your teeth. I love Pries Dental Care and will definitely continue to come here.
P.S.....Love the massage chair during my cleaning...also adds to that relaxing experience I get at this dental office! -

First off I've never been a fan of the dentist. I know I'm not the only one. Between sitting there, drills, needles, insurance, and bad news you get about the work you need and you're never sure if you really do or they just want you to do it....see what I mean?? With these fears finding a new dentist was not something on the top of my to do list.
Then, I finally decided it was time to just get it over with and stop putting off work I know I needed done (crown for a broken tooth). I had put it off cause I hated a previous dentist office I had worked with so bad in Morgan Hill who seriously had brought me to tears. You wonder how it can be done ask them and you'll see.
So I prepped myself for battle to find a new dentist. I cross referenced the ones on my insurance with good ol trusty Yelp cause you guys have yet to lead me astray!! I saw his reviews here and prayed he took my insurance and by damn he did! I loooved making the online appointment it was both comfortable and convenient to me. The fact they do email and text communications is right up my alley.
The staff is just as positively described. Laura is super knowledgeable and I found it disappointing to read someone found her to be otherwise. I did not see or experience any problems from Laura. She always seemed on top of things and did whatever she could to look ahead to the next step and do it to make things easier for me. Emailing me my estimate BEFORE getting started was tremendously helpful. She answered all my questions to my satisfaction. And she does it all while maintaining a positive attitude.
Walter was super pleasant as well. Gentle and eager to get started. He is very fast too! I appreciated his professional demeanor.
Pries himself was great to work with. At no point did I feel like I was being talked down to. He presented the concerns over my teeth in a very professional, point blank way that I could easily understand. There was nothing shady in the consultation or sales pitch that can be found in other dentists offices elsewhere.
I have 1 appt left to finish the work. Had 3 so far. Each one has been pleasant and each one required I be numb very well...including a root canal. He worked gently and anytime I raised a finger for slight discomfort he addressed it which was very comforting. He numbed me further when pain showed up. Overall a very polite man. Something nice to find in your dentist!!
I have already recommended him to others and hope they follow my advice so that they have a pleasant visit here. I had to work in a people setting the day of my root canal and had no trouble at all- when a customer asked how I was I said I just had a root canal how do you think....I'm great!! Haha. That's how a few of them got my recommendations. They asked what dentist?!?
I can't say enough good things. Thank you.
If you're nervous or simply want your dental visits to be something worth looking forward to...try this office out. If my work could go so well...no one else's can be so bad. Don't forget...the chairs massage which is a nice thing to focus on when you're being numbed up! -

Quick update to my original post. I had to get 2 fillings replaced (they were 10+ years old!) Dr. Pries was great as was his assistant Walter.
I absolutely hate "the needle" they use for numbing me up and I have to say that his massaging chairs helped put me at ease. At the first sign of the least bit of pain, I informed Dr. Pries and he numbed me up some more. I have had other dentists try to push through this with the pain persisting, however he dealt with it immediately and I didn't feel a thing after that.
It was quick and painless and within 45 min or so, I was on my way.
A quick note re: my original post, perhaps I missed the magazines on thew wall, b/c this time I got there a bit early and was happy to see some magazines (Car & Driver in particular) that kept me busy while I waited.

Look, I hate the dentist. I don't hate my dentist, i just hate going to the dentist. Think about it... if dental care wasn't such a big deal, why would we see millions of advertisements about how to make our teeth whiter... cleaner.... smell better? The toothpaste companies know we're lazy and don't take care of ourselves as good as we can... and they know most of us eat crap we shouldn't.
So... my story goes like this. A filling fell out and it was due to some decay. It didn't bother me until I had some pulled pork lodged in filling up the space. So yummy....
Anyway, I called up Dr. Pries' office because he was a customer of mine. We worked on his car... so I figured, why not let him work on my mug. So... Dr Pries checks me out... and schedules me in for a root canal. Did I tell you how much I hate dentists?
Laura does a fantastic job of having me fill out all the paperwork prior to my first visit... so I won't have to sit in agony in the office and fill out paperwork like other dentists make you do. Wow... brilliant idea... but what was even better were the text message reminders you also get. Although they interfered with my Mafia Wars text messages. But s'cool... Laura's forgiven. Needless to gloat anymore, but it really was a great service. Amy T... if half of your review was true... I didnt' see any example of this on either of my two visits.
Which brings us to the present day. Just had the root canal yesterday morning... and even though I was told i'd have some discomfort, I haven't felt a damn thing. I can eat normal, drink cold and hot beverages.... and most of all... my breath doesn't stink no mo. Dr. Pries... Walter, who hums music if you ask... and of course Laura... thank you. You guys are awesome.
So... for those non 5 star reviewers... you know who you BOTH are... give these guys another shot. Adrian, your insurance company sucks... they all do. Everyone know dental insurance is a crock. And Amy... don't be lazy and fill out all the information they request. All dentists require them... its for everyones good. -

I have been to numerous dentists, and am not a big fan of going to the dentist in genral. The staff here makes you feel very comfortable! I do not have dental insurance, and prices are resonanble, plus they are very clean and friendly. Thank you Dr. Pries for a great experience!

I have been using the services of Gus Pries for quite some time now. I use to dread going to the dentist only to find out bad news. With Gus's instructions on how to take better care of my teeth and gums, those worries are now gone. In fact, I so much like having my teeth pearly white, that I now go every 3 months even though insurance only covers twice a year.
In addition, I have referred several of my friends and family and they all love Gus and his staff.
If you need a dentist that is up to date on the latest techniques and someone that simply put, calms the nerves, Gus is the guy to see. -

Dr. Gus Pries is a gifted dentist; my family has so much confidence in his ability. He's been our dentist for over three years and has taken care of everything from general cleanings to complicated crown work. If you are looking for an exceptional dentist in the Bay Area, look no further. Dr. Gus Pries at Pries Dental is the one. He is extremely caring, knowlegdable and really cares about his patients. I did a simple teeth cleaning last friday and he emailed me to make sure everything is okay. How many dentists do that? His staff is also amazing, their office is super hi-tech and they are very reasonably priced. All around a wonderful expereince. I also referred by best friend to him and she raves about him as well.

I'm about 3 appointments into Dr. Pries as my dentist, and I have to say he and his staff are awesome. I'd not seen a dentist for about 7 years before now, so I was nervous and in need of some deep cleaning and a few repairs. Everything's gone smoothly, I get calls before every appointment as a reminder, and he even called me personally after the second appointment to see how I was feeling after I'd gotten home.
Also, I can second the mention of the video glasses. I had a bit of a longer appointment this last time, and sticking those on my face made me pretty much oblivious to everything going on. -

I have been going to Pries Dental Care for over a year now and I love them. I don't have to wait months for an appointment. They have state of the art technology so I can see what they see on the flat screens in front of me. The office is very soothing, which settles my nerves the moment I walk in the door.
I couldn't believe it when Dr. Pries called me after a minor filling, just to make sure I was doing okay!

I went to Pries Dental after my sister (my regular dentist) moved to North Carolina. Naturally with a dentist in my family who I've been going to for years I was nervous about seeing a new doctor. However, I absolutely loved my experience and will totally come back again to Pries Dental Care.
The facility is sparkling clean and they have the newest technology. I got to watch a movie while I got my teeth cleaned!
The staff was very nice and helpful. I got the zoom whitening procedure done on my teeth (they are movie star white now!) and during the whole procedure everyone went out of their way to make sure I was completely comfortable.
Dr. Pries was awesome. He has such a gental touch, I barely notcied him in my mouth!
I will absolutely go here again and I have told all my friends about Pries Dental Care as well! -

I'm not really much of a dentist person, but I have to say I had a pleasant experience here from start to finish. I was running behind for my appt (my fault) but despite the late start, Dr. Pries was able to give a very thorough, efficient, and educational exam (including going over x-rays and videos on proper dental hygiene technique). It had been over a year since my last cleaning, so I appreciate that with all the scraping going on, he was as gentle as possible and paused regularly to ask if I was ok. He described what he saw on my teeth in a very informative and non-judgemental manner, and offered simple solutions to remedy the problems. In summary, a very skilled, down to earth doctor. Walter (the assisstant) was also great with all the pretesting, explained procedures well, and helped the exam run smoothly. Laura (office manager) gave me a warm welcome on my arrival and was very helpful in getting all my forms filled out prior to my visit and breaking down the insurance so I could maximize my benefits. I love how simple she made the whole process for me.
The facilities and equipment are modern and clean. Overall, a knowledgeable and professional team providing just plain
good dental care. I will see you in 6 months! -

This place is great! And it's a dentist office- go figure. I've had nightmarish experiences with dental care in the past. This place makes it unbelievably enjoyable. The office is really clean and nice. The staff is outstanding!! And Dr. Pries is the best dentist I've ever had. I literally don't dread going to the dentist anymore. I look forward to my dentist appts. He is great with prevention as well as taking care of your immediate needs. When I leave, my teeth feel ridiculously clean and I actually feel like I don't want to ruin them by eating right away ha ha. I would recommend everyone to try this place out. You won't regret it.

My name is Andy and I am in the jewelry business.
Customer care is the utmost importance to me.
I believe that Pries has done just that.
I have not been to a dentist in about 4-5 years. I am complacent when it comes to visiting a dental office. I think i take very good
care of my teeth. I floss often and brush my teeth often.
I was referred to Pries by a friend and went because he has good judgement.
I scheduled a cleaning and a checkup.
And to my surprise, I have two root canals and 12 cavities.
I was very glad I went for a check up. My goodness, imagine if i waited another few years!
(by the way, everyone really should get checked up twice a year, at the very least once a year)
I'll break down the components of why i gave Pries 5 stars.
1. VERY informative, thorough and friendly front desk, thank you laura.
2. Very Informative, Friendly, and professional back office. Doctor Pries is a VERY good dentist. I felt very comfortable with him and he was very friendly. Educates the patients.
3. I believe that any dentist can say they can do dentistry, but it is an entirely different area of expertise to make the client comfortable and knowledgeable about their teeth. Doctor Pries does that and his supporting staff does that as well (Walter and Laura)
4. Very Thorough debriefing. They reviewed me on non insurance costs and with insurance costs. And provided clear answers to all item costs in the cost list. They offered many alternatives. -

I was looking for a good new dentist close to my home and as usual yelp didn't fail me. Dr. Pries is a great dentist, one of the best out there, he is very knowledgeable, I have been there about three times for deep cleaning, scaling and couple of cavities. My visits were pleasant, fast and didn't feel any pain. Laura is a great help too, I told her that I changed my insurance company on the phone and she was able to look it up and update my file without me giving her my ID number. Also their online appointment, email and text messaging reminders are awesome.

Dr. Pries is a fantastic, honest dentist, who is up to speed with all new technology within the dental industry. I love the fact that if I have a 10am appointment I am in the dental chair at 10am. More importantly, I feel I can trust Dr. Pries to guide me through the process without being pressured into doing any unnecessary work on my teeth. I send my family to him, so it goes without saying that I would highly recommend him to everyone.

A good dentist is hard to find. I switched to Pries Dental after having a bad experience at another clinic (read my review for Alpine dental care). My teeth needed a lot of work so trust me when I say this place is amazing!
Laura is very cooperative and I like how they get the paperwork done ahead of time. It saves my time and theirs you know. She explained my coverage etc. well. I think she's doing a good job managing that office. Walter is cool and knows what he is doing.
Dr. Pries explained everything that was going on with my teeth. I got two fillings, a root canal and a crown done here. He did a great job and I am completely satisfied. I am a loyal customer now unless he moves or I move somewhere far away. I have recommended him to a couple of people at work already who were looking for a good dentist.
This clinic seems to have more updated equipment as compared to my last clinic. I heart the text reminder feature as I tend to forget to put my appointments on my calendar sometimes. Laura also calls to remind a day before the appointment. My advice-don't think twice, call them! You won't be disappointed. -

Pries Dental Care goes above and beyond to make their patients have the most pleasant experience at the dentist possible. They also have state of the art equipment and use cutting edge technology. Their staff is extremely friendly and have helped me take care of and process my claims with my insurance. I never look forward to going to the dentist, but going to Pries Dental care makes my worries go away.

was having trouble finding a good dentist in San Ho. HATED the last one I went to. THis was by far the best experience I've had a dentist...even beating out the one I grew up with! Everyone there is super friendly and dental procedures I don't need are not pushed on me for an upsell. With the massage chairs, sirius radio, and friendly staff; I have finally found my dentist here!

I do not think there are many people that like to go to the dentist. If there are, I am one of them thanks to Dr. Pries. There are couple of reasons but the most important of course is the quality. Being a person that loves to laugh having unnoticeable filings is priority number one. In addition, he is so careful that I go during my lunch break because I get to actually relax. Plus, I like the fact that his equipment is brand new and all digital.

So I went back to Pries to try and address my "insurance problem" and it turns out I was reading my insurance statement wrong. Stupid of me, I know, but on the plus side it means Pries' rating gets bumped up to a perfect 5/5.

Pries dental care has the nicest staff I have ever come across & I use to work in the pharma industry!!! Dr. Pries is very gental and careful when he is working in your mouth. You can actually get a massaage in the dentist chair when you are getting worked on which totally helps to calm you down. I would highly recommend Dr. Pries for anyone looking for a dentist or if you are just not really excited about your current dentist- switch to Pries Dental Care!

I highly recommend Pries Dental. Front office staff is courteous and efficient. Wow, the office is spotless, talk about clean. Dr. Gus really knows his stuff. After the exam and x-rays, he actually brought the x-rays up on a screen so I could see what he was talking about in discussing my future treatment. And did I mention the the massaging chairs that keep you relaxed throughout your time in the office. We recommend Dr. Gus to everyone. We recently relocated to San Jose and found a great dentist!
My husband had a bad toothache and it was taken care of within a day! The best part is he didn't feel a thing. I am eager to meet the Dentist and his staff .

I had been with the same dentist for 20 years. Finally fed up with waiting 6 months to get an appointmnet, I had heard about Dr. Pries and made an appointment. He is AMAZING! I have never had a dentist call to check on me after any appointment, let alone a cleaning. His office is fantastic. Now my entire family and most of my friends see him. You should definitley check him out!
