Honest, inexpensive, and very good work. What more could you ask for?
I recently brought a Nissan Murano to these guys to get my exhaust manifold replaced. Gibson, the shop manager, did an excellent job of quickly diagnosing that that was indeed what I needed, and did the repair work a few days later when the part arrived. Though he had to do a bunch of extra work to get the job completed, they only charged me what they had quoted me, and while he had my car up on the lift, he also fixed some problems that the Nissan dealer caused when they did some work on my transmission. He didn't charge me for that work, either.
My car is once again running great, thanks to these guys. I'd highly recommend the quality of their work, and their honesty and fair pricing.
These guys are truly great .. I threw them more than a couple of curveballs on doing some customized add-ons for my Porsche 911Sc ..
Targa Top reseal, add on stability bars, major tune up, brake pedals, a a bunch of other little things ..
They did eveything I asked and more .. with an attention to detail. They are also very reasonably priced.

I brought my car to Prestige Autowerks after reading a great review on Car Talk's website (see their review there: http://www.cartalk.com...). These guys are fantastic.
My car is at the point where everything is beginning to fall apart, so finding a good shop has been a godsend. The guys at Prestige Autowerks always give me a great price, do great work, they work quickly, explain what they're doing, and are really, really nice.
Let me explain my latest visit to these guys (and I've been to these guys about 3 times now... totally pleased every time). My car's check engine light came on, so I brought my car in. After checking out my car, they showed me the problems.
One of the exhaust vacuum tubes (probably not the technical term) was broken, which they replaced for free.
The main problem was that the big metal tube thing (this is definitely the technical term) that connects the muffler in the middle of my car to the one in the back was rusting and there were big holes in it. And the middle muffler was cracking, too. They offered me a couple of solutions (soldering it or replacing it) and explained the pros and cons. I ended up replacing it. It was around 12p then and the part wouldn't be delivered until 3p. Since I'm a single girl with no one who loves me enough to pick me up and drop me off later, I really didn't have any option but to wait. Realizing this, one of the guys drove to the parts place to get the part immediately. I was out of there in an hour.
Oh, and they have free wireless, a comfy sofa, and a few good restaurants that do take-out nearby, which makes the wait fly by.
I found the Prestige Autowerks while looking for another auto shop which I found on Yelp for my Volvo. Chris started to answer my questions about my other car which is a BMW 540i which needed some work on headlights and windshield wiper. He seem so knowledgeable, easy going, and nice that I started to ask him questions about my Volvo which needed a 45k mile service. He was also very knowledgeable about the Volvo. I had him give me an estimate for the 45k service and his quote was much cheaper than the dealer and very competitive to the other place I was looking for when I got lost and stopped in front of Prestige. He also offered 20% discount on the total service fee.
To make a long story short, I have since gotten both my cars serviced and fixed there and I am very impressed with how they thoroughly check everything, make honest and timely suggestions for preventive measures and they deliver good work in timely manner at a reasonable fee.
They are so friendly and I did not feel intimidated or stupid asking rudimentary questions about the car. I am a typical woman car owner--get things serviced and fixed right away but always have to rely on auto shops to do it. I am very happy I found these guys and I highly recommend them. Also, they are located just 5-6 blocks from downtown San Mateo so, it's easy to leave the car there, stroll over to downtown and grab some lunch or coffee while your car is serviced and get some walking and reading done too. I find this very appealing!
I've taken my BMW and Acura here for service. Gibson, the shop manager, is very knowledgeable, honest and customer service oriented. They have serviced my cars quickly and charge fair prices.
I took my mini to the shop and he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it without needing to even sell me parts. He was extremely honest. I had an electrical issue which are always scary because people can tell you anything. I highly recommend this shop. His price was more than fair. I will take any car I have to him.
