If you are looking for a great dry cleaner with excellent service, great in-house tailor, eco-friendly methods, punctual and an overall great experience......then Press On Cleaners is for you!
I have always had a tough time finding a great dry cleaner and as a fashion consultant I take my wardrobe maintenence very seriously! I have been going to POC for over a year now and I have no complaints at all. Keep up the great work guys! -

I was in need to find another dry cleaner in my area because the one I used was expensive and I was not too pleaseed with the result. I found Press On on Yelp and it's on my way home from work. So I decided to drop by and give them a try. My clothes ALWAYS come back nicely pressed, clean and smell-free! Their pricing is also much more reasonable than my last dry cleaner. One thing that worth a mention is they are a "green" dry cleaner, so they are operating without generating harmful waste to the environment. I can count on Press On to clean my favorite skirts, jackets, and pants knowing my stuff will always come back looking new again! Their turn around time is fast and people are always super friendly and helpful. :)

The owners (husband & wife) provide a high quality service at this place. I am not used to someone opening the door for me when I walk in to a dry cleaners.

I was very hesitant to clean my wedding dress - all the well known places wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for it, but the dress was too intricate to just give it to anybody for cleaning.
PPC had some great Yelp reviews, but I still had my doubts - I mean how can you clean a dirty white dress without using any chemicals? Well, I'm not sure how they archived it, but the dress came out perfectly white (even the very bottom of it where I stepping on it), smelling great (no nasty chemical smell), and impeccably pressed! They charged me third of what some other places were charging for a wedding gown cleaning, kept me updated throughout the process, and called me when the dress was ready.
I'm super happy with the experience and will definitely be back for more dry cleaning! -

I Really like this place. I went to purfit and they charged me $15 more. So i came back to this place after having some suits altered last year. They still didn't disappoint and it was $20 to hem my pants. Got them on time before a trip too.

Review from Ken L.
Do a great job with what we've given them, and we had a deal from red plum (or one of those groupon-like site). Very nice and friendly.
The only thing I can say about this place that could use improvement is consistency in the process. The husband half of the ownership will take your clothes, and if you have any sort of discount or credit, he sometimes won't know how to process it. One time he told us that it's fine, and to just tell his wife when we picked up our clothes. When we came and wanted to apply the credit, she said that it was difficult to apply (but still gave it to us anyway and was nice about it) but I don't think the confusion should have been there to begin with. -

I was immediately attracted to this place because it's a green cleaner, and does not use all those nasty chemicals that most dry cleaners use. As soon as you step into the store, you notice that the air is fresh and doesn't have that "dry cleaning-chemical" smell. They do all of their cleaning in-house (as opposed to sending it out like most cleaners), and it only took a few days to get my clothes back.
Thanks to Groupon, I saved $30 on my dry cleaning. There was a slight mix-up because I also received 10% off since I had over $100 in dry cleaning. When I picked up my clothes, they were not going to honor both discounts, but after some arguing they eventually let me use both. Apparently they thought I received 10% off because I was a new customer, when in fact I got it because I spent over $100. And I guess they are not allowed to combine both discounts. Either way, in the end I received 10% off and was able to use my Groupon. They also gave me a 10% off coupon to use next time for being a new customer (since I didn't get it the first time).
Despite the mix-up, I was pleased with the way they handled the situation in the end. And being the only green cleaner in the area, I will definitely visit this place in the future. -

This place does a great job. Not only are they the FIRST certified green cleaner in San Mateo, but they also have great customer service as well as someone who takes care of alterations. They can do anything from cleaning and packing your wedding gown, to cleaning your leather jacket.
The only downfall is that they are pricey. You pay for what you get though. The money is well worth it if it is something you love and care about. -
Review from Morgan M.
The very best Miracle Workers you are going to find this side of the bridge. Service from anyone here is lovely from an over the telephone price estimate on tailoring to the pick up, you are greeted by nothing less than a smile and an incredible knowledge on clothing.
I have a very particular body type in which some dresses tend to be flattering up top but on the bottom bellow out from the waist and make a gorgeous dress feel like a Hawaiian Muumu. Thus the idea to have several custom tailored to fit my needs. Why it's taken this long is beyond me but I'm thankful I waited because the results after taking the dresses to Snow White are perfectly flawless. I called first to get an over the phone estimate and was completely surprised with how affordable the tailoring fees were. By the end of the week the dresses were ready and were snug and just how I wanted them.
I am very impressed with this Cleaner/Tailor and would recommend them to anyone. -

I love this place too! Like most people I went on to yelp to find a dry cleaner after going through so many other local places. Let me tell you, I have never found a dry cleaner that is so reasonable and with such impeccable service.
Here's a few of the reasons why I love this place:
1) They open the door for me and help me carry all of the heavy bags of dry cleaning I bring them with a smile.
2) They know exactly who I am and actually care how I am!
3) Everything is done on time and usually ready earlier than expected.
4) They have an on-site tailor who does a wonderful job!
5) When I bring in a new item they always call me to ask if I want it tailored and always have the alterations done in time to pickup the rest of my dry cleaning. Not to mention the alterations fees are EXTREMELY reasonable. Plus they keep your measurements on file!
6) They have rushed alterations for me, repeatedly, no questions asked or extra charges.
7) They took the time to explain to me exactly how GREEN their business is.
8) Oh yeah, and how could I forget they are open 7am to 7pm Mon-Fri, and 9am to 5pm Sat, so convenient!
Here is a list of local dry cleaners I've tried and can't even compare to Snow White Cleaners:
1) Parkside Plaza Cleaners on Norfolk in San Mateo
2) Sterling Cleaners on Howard in Burlingame
3) Peninou French Laundry
4) Ralston Village Cleaners in Belmont
5) Purpletie (delivery and pickup-laundry/dry cleaning)
6) Holiday Cleaners on Delaware in San Mateo -

I recently made a visit to Snow White Cleaners this week for the very first time. I had a lovely experience at this dry cleaner because 1) it's green-friendly, 2) affordable prices 3) I asked James (the owner) for the online discount, he offered me 10% on all 4 pieces of clothing which include the following: silk dress, 2 blazers, and a wool tweed coat. The total that I spent was about $46, not too bad.
The best part is that my beautiful clothes don't smell like damaging chemicals!
I highly recommend this place and James is very nice and really did his research on going green for his store. -

I gave a negative yelp review for press on cleaners prior to this one and I felt that I should go ahead and give them another shot as they did a good job with cleaning my clothes, however I felt the way they handled my first transaction was lacking customer service entirely as I felt I was overcharged for a specific item. I even deleted my first yelp review because I felt bad. Months later, I dropped off two shirts for cleaning and I got a call a few hours later from the manager stating that if you give them a negative yelp review you are not allowed to come back and they will refuse service to you.

These people are incredibly friendly and helpful. I bring my laundry in every week (even in the afternoon sometimes!) and they are able to do same day wash and fold at reasonable prices. I also work right near them and sometimes forget to pick my clothes up, and they often call to remind me and stay late so I can pick up my stuff. They are conveniently located next to 101 also, and "Green Certified" to boot!
Highly recommended. -

Simply the best green dry cleaner in town. They take coats with fur trims and they came back looking if I just bought them in the store. Very pleased on the first visit.

Super friendly and very prompt. Always helpful and smiling and not at all curt or rude ever. Did I mention friendly?
They're green.
They are always smiling.
They get the stains out of my clothes.
They are fast and remember your name.
The prices are pretty on-par with other drycleaners.
They even have in-house alterations and repair if you need it.
Really not much else to look for in a dry-cleaning.
They also have warriors games playing on their TV often. That earns them a gold star in my book as well. Definitely A++++ WILL RETURN AGAIN. -

I couldn't ask for more in a dry cleaning service. Not only do they use organic cleaning solutions which are green friendly, they provide good, fast cleaning. Always on time. Usually it's in better shape than I left it, as they often make complimentary repairs to buttons, hems and collars without me asking. I love their hangers that say "we love our customers" because you can tell it's 100% true.

Been coming here for about two years now. I would've gave them all 5 stars but my last visit was very disappointing. I brought in a few pairs of expensive jeans to dry clean and well, one came back discolored. I was so shocked when I got home and seen what happened. They're totally ruined.
And I brought in two pairs of jeans to replace the zippers. Umm...call me cheap but I think $35 to sew on two zippers is ridiculous.
The owners are great and my clothes had always came out looking great even though I thought it was a bit pricey at times but this last visit has made me think of exploring other options. -

Thanks to other reviews posted here. I finally gave it a shot inspite of the driving distance from SF to SM. I did not make any mistake. It's worth every penny of gas spent from driving. The lady at the front was very polite and attentive. I got their monthly special discount plus the first-time yelper discount. She explained to me that not all "green cleaners" are truly green and what they use to qualify them to be "non-toxic" cleaner. I got my clothes back with a big smile. Also, I requested not to have my clothes hung and wrapped in those metal hangers with plastic bags. Sure enough, they remembered to do it just the way I wanted.
There are other merchants around from BBQ to supermarket. Downtown SM is just across the freeway for more restaurants and entertainments. This is definitely a good find. -

Okay, I'm alittle confused. They go by Snow White but the address shows Press On. Whatever the right name is, I love these people. EVERYONE should run a business like these guys. My quilts and bedding came out perfectly. I had a huge load of stuff and the gentleman came out and helped me unload my car. Then when I went to pick up my stuff, he helped me load up the car. So 5 stars for SERVICE. The most important thing I should add is that they are GREEN! SAFE, if ANY chemicals at all. Since I'm sleeping with my bedding at least 8 hours a night, I don't want to be inhaling bad stuff. Thanks again, Guys!

I switched over to this place after reading reviews and it was well worth it. It's a little out of the way compared to where I used to go in FC, but it's cheaper, friendlier and better service, and eco-friendly. They'll actually remember your name, rather than the "what's your telephone number?". All my clothes come back fine and on time. The next test will be an alteration, but from the reviews, it seems they do that good as well.
They're generally a little heavier on the starch, so fair warning on that. -

I decided to try this place because they were reasonably priced and only found out when I got there, how green-friendly they are.
I have never been impressed with dry cleaning in my life, seriously. I'm usually in and out of those places and as long as nothing is missing, I'm fine. BUT Snow White did an awesome job with my 2 suits and 2 dress shirts. They were pressed perfectly, they smelled great, and the customer service is the way customer service should be...they actually care about you and your garments. I highly recommend this place and I will make them my permanent dry cleaner as long as I'm living around here. -

First of all, when I get my clothes back from here it smells so good and they are actually clean.
Second, I'm concerned about my health and the future for my kids and the earth.
Snow White addresses all of these issues for me.
I've had both dry cleaning and alterations done here.
I drive there from Downtown San Francisco and it's well worth it!!
And, the woman who works here is very pleasant and friendly!
Recently, I had a white blouse with very bad underarm stains from a trip to Vegas which I thought I could wear one more time.
I put it in my closet and forgot about it for almost a year. Yes, I know, yuck!
The yellowed blouse came back sans stains in its original white color. How awesome is that!!!
I wish I had before and after pictures so that everyone could see!
I've had pants hemmed here several times.
They do an amazing job with that as well.
It looks just like the original hem from the factory. As a petite person, it's pretty important for me to have a reliable alterations shop. I just can't say enough great things about this place.
Highly recommended for those who can distinguish the difference between a mediocre cleaners and a professional one!!! -

I'd been shopping around for a new dry cleaner for some time and decided to go here based on the reviews I read online. The last couple places I went weren't anything special, and this place caught my eye because it's a certified green cleaner that doesn't use the harsh chemicals that smell awful and probably aren't good for you either.
I went in last week to drop off some jackets. They were a little pricey, but if they did a good job, paying a little more isn't a problem. I recommend pre-paying so there aren't any hidden fees when you pick up!
I returned a couple days later, and my jackets looked beautiful! They were clean, lint free, and best of all...didn't smell like chemicals! Totally worth the price, since they do an excellent job.
I only wish they were open Sunday's! -

Just like the other reviewers here, I found Snow White Cleaners though YELP. I've been a regular customer now for almost 2 months and have been getting my clothes dry cleaned weekly. The first time I got my clothes dry cleaned, Julie (which I assume is the owner?) gave me a 10% coupon just for mentioning how I found them through Yelp. And after seeing the results, I loved that my clothes look brand new as if it was just bought right out of the store. The turn around time to get clothes dry cleaned are reasonable. I typically bring clothes in on a Saturday and by Wednesday they're ready for pick up. I love the way it smells, no harsh/strong chemicals and love that they are GREEN! I also notice that the second section of this dry cleaning place does drying cleaning/perservations on bridal gowns and alterations. I have yet to bring in my child's christening gown to get dry cleaned and preserved but the quote I got from Julie (rough estimation) $19.99 (starting) isn't bad at all.
The shop itself is spotless clean and everything in the back where all the clothes are are organized. Nothing I see seem to be stacked with clothes or junk. Customer service is superb; friendly, professional, promised time is always kept, fast/quick and efficient. Great job guys! Keep up the awesome, quality work! -

I needed suit and cotton sweater cleaned for function in Peninsula and needed a cleaner that can do this on Sat. ASAP. Press On Cleaners came through for me and saved my day. All other cleaners that I called upon do not clean on Sat. cause slow economy.... But Press On cleaners clean them for me and the owners were telling us that their business is doing particularly well in this slow economy due to being eco-friendly and thinking outside of box. Service- Excellent, Price-Excellent
Hands down Best cleaner in San Mateo! -

Review from Elma K.
Burlingame, CA
A wonderful place. I am so happy to find an authentic eco-friendly place to clean my precious wedding dress. They were great with information on preservation and storage.
I do all of my cleaning here and everything has come back perfectly pressed and clean, with none of the "chemical smell" wafting out of the bag when you take your clothes out. It's a real change from my former so-called "eco-cleaners" which in fact where not using ecological practices, and shrunk my clothes. Anyhow, I'm "voting with my dollars" - supporting a locally owned business that uses ecologically sound processes. Not all eco-friendly cleaners are the real deal, but this one is.
There is an incredible woman there doing alternations. It's rare that I can buy something that fits perfectly, most either don't fit well or aren't quite right. I can spend all of my time trying to find something that fits, but it's easier to get something that's "close enough" and then bring it here. This lady gives the best suggestions on how to improve a garment, make it fit, or make it right. She is the best tailor I've ever been to, and I used to take my clothes to very pricey tailors in the garment district of NYC and "celebrity" tailors in Los Angeles. She can work with leather, wedding dresses, lined pants, you name it. The woman can do the very difficult task of shortening a sleeve length by taking it in from the shoulder. Most tailors "cheat" and take it in from the cuff, which results in a compromised look in the buttons of the cuff or jacket construction. The woman is a genius!
Best of all, it's wonderful to walk into a place and hear, "Hello Elma." They care enough to remember your name. That means a whole lot to me. -

I first found this drycleaners on yelp because I was tired of the one I usually go to in Daly City, and San Mateo is a lot closer to my work so I can just swing by at lunch/after work.
1) The have same day service! awesome!!! They open extra early for that, which I really appreciate in case I have emergencies!
2) They're service is EXCELLENT, not just because they're "green" (I have noticed my clothes come out better though because of it) but because if they try to get a stain out, they'll try multiple times free of charge! And they're very honest about it
3) They remembered my name after I went there the first time! Now THAT'S quality service! They also remember specifically what time I need my clothes done or if I want certain clothes separated into different plastics covers.
4) They offer alterations. THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT FOR A PETITE PERSON who's pants are ALL TOO LONG. They also take it in for me too, which is a total life saver.
So the answer is YES, I highly recommend it! -

The second I returned to the Peninsula, moving from the East Bay, I went straight to yelp to find a new dry cleaner. Of all the 30 I looked at around my new hood, I came across a green business certified, highly recommended, near by and supposedly friendly dry cleaner that also is known to give discounts. ALL TRUE!! Upon my 1st visit I was shown all of the goodness Snow White Cleaners is known for: Grade A Service!; Reasonable Prices; & Green Business Certified!

Great Environmentally friendly Cleaners.
i've been going here for the past year. I switched because I wanted a more "green" cleaners.
They are ALWAYS polite and friendly, and are happy to give you great customer service.
I think the prices are reasonable, especially for a greenn dry cleaners.
They also do alterations, but i have never used them. -

I really don't do much dry cleaning, but because so many people around me have been raving about this place and how non-toxic they are I decided to bring in some of my baby's blankets for dry cleaning. The staff was friendly and very well-informed. I asked tons of questions and they took the time to answer each one thoroughly. When I went in to pick up the blankets, there was no filmy texture to them as with other cleaners and they smelled so fresh and clean. All the yellow spit stains were gone too! Yeah! I'm a customer for keeps! Go see for yourselves!

Ok, I'm an idiot and I know it. I bought a shirt for $150. Just a shirt. It was amazing and I was in love with it, but that's a lot of money for a shirt. I know I was just asking for it. Sure enough, got salsa all over it (an unfortunate incident involving Mijita and some nasty pigeons). Nearly hysterical, I took it to Snow White. I'd been going to them for a while, and was always impressed with prices, turnaround time, hours open, customer service, green methods and quality of their work. But I figured no way could they save my ass on this one. But they did. The shirt looked amazing, new as the day I bought it. A white shirt with red salsa all over it! I love Snow White. They have my business for life.

Will defenitely be bringing my other dry clean only garments here!!

I started going to this cleaner a few months ago after their excellent reviews on yelp and the fact that they are a green business. Clothes are well dry-cleaned, but they get 2 stars for customer service.
We've been using them weekly for several months with monthly bills well over $100. This past week we only had 3 shirts and I was charged $20 for 3 shirts!!! Normally they charge about $2 per shirt. The owner explained, after the fact, that I had been charged $5 per shirt as "a favor" to help me reach my minimum $20 delivery. I was also charged $5 for delivery. I did not receive a call during the week asking if I would like to pick up the shirts and avoid a triple mark-up nor was I offered a one time credit for future services despite being a good weekly customer for several months. The owner's explanation was "I'm sorry, we have a budget."
I was really happy with this business, but given a 3x mark-up and poor customer service follow-up I will switch to another cleaner that values regular customers more. -

This place is great. The people that run the Snow White Cleaners are super nice, very professional & know what they are doing. I have taken all of my dry-clean only garments, and had some alterations done at this place and they've always done a top-notch job and I have to say my clothes NEVER have that weird dry-cleaning smell as I'm sure we've all experienced. They have always done a great job and the prices are pretty reasonable for dry-cleaning & alterations & if you go on their website they have specials - so it's usually the more you spend - like if you spend $30 you get a certain precentage off. In any event I highly recommend them...and I won't be able use them for much longer since I'm moving out of San Mateo...which saddens me because it's very hard to find a good dry-cleaners/alterations place. You should def give this place a shot - I don't think you'll be disappointed!
