OK- are you listening? Do not, I repeat, do NOT stay at this place. The photos look great on hotel-booking websites, it seems like a very convenient hotel close to the historic center of Quincy, and the prices are definitely right. But this is not a place you want to stay. My story is that my parents were visiting me up here for the first time, and my mom asked me which hotel they should stay at. Going strictly by distance from my apartment, I told them that they should try Presidents City (hey, I live here! What the heck do I need to know about hotels for?). When they arrived, I got a call from my mother (who is very much a go-with-the-flow kinda lady). She said "We're not staying here. There are no lights in the parking lot, there are cigarette burns all over the carpet, and a sign on the front desk that says 'No refunds after 15 minutes.' Sufficiently skeeved out, we set them up at the Marriott in Quincy instead. Apparently this place looked just like your stereotypical no-tell-motel. I hate to talk a local business down like this, but travelers should under no circumstances count on this place. Yes it's convenient and cheap, but in this case, you get what you pay for.
