just came back from my 2nd treatment today. my first one was with ina and today, it was with diana and my face is glowing like a gem right now as we speak!
I always consider myself as more of a tomboy out of my friends and I was never known to primp myself up like most girls at my age do. with that said, i walked into diana's with a lot of questions about my skin and skin products and both diana & ina were able to answer my questions with expertise in a way that i can understand. they are obviously very knowledgeable about what they do, and they were informative about the products they were selling as well. (OSEA products, which i also fell in love with immediately!)
The location is in a medical building on Wilshire in a small medical suite so only one customer can be treated at a time. Which might even be better than going to your regular spa, because you know that you have the esthetician's full and undivided attention and she will not rush you at all. I got the Anti-Aging facial twice in 2 months now and at both occasions it was very relaxing and most importantly, I saw its effects on my skin almost IMMEDIATELY. I have a very dry, dull skin and my face was glowing for days after I got my first treatment and the glow remained when I bought the OSEA Advanced Protection Cream. (It's a bit pricy at $98 but TRUST ME, it really works!! And because you only need a TINY dab of it, it's probably going to last me a good 6-8 months even if I use it day and night.)
The price may be a little bit on the steep side for girls on my kind of budget but I took advantage of Living Social coupons that offered the normally $130 anti-aging facial at a steal for only $50! Also, I think Groupon had a deal recently with Diana as well. And if you weren't able to grab coupons from either website, there is also a special going on in the month of November where you can get a facial with Ina for only $65 on Wednesdays and Sundays! If you book it by the end of November to have a treatment done in December, she will honor it. And finally, if I refer a friend, both my friend & I can get 20% off any treatments! So don't let the steep prices stop you from getting a facial at Diana's, Santa Monica's best kept secret in my opinion! :) -

I picked up a coupon on a Living Social special recently for $50.00 and trekked off to Diana to see what she could do for me. My skin is generally pretty clear, but I do like to get facials every now and then to clean out all of the LA pollution and counteract my food and drinking adventures.
General impressions: Diana is a lovely, sweet lady who obviously takes a lot of pride in her little business. She recently started out on her own and her treatment area/office is really cute. In the depths of an office building on Wilshire, you enter a nondescript door and find a lovely reception area with a wooden desk, water, and soothing warm paint colors. When she comes out to greet you she immediately exudes warmth, making you very comfortable. her treatment room is huge - 3X the size of treatment rooms in normal spas. You change behind a room dividing screen, which is fine and sink yourself into the soft bed. After that, the facial goes as planned - lots of soothing music, yummy smelling lotions and sprays and cleansers, a few extractions, and you're done. She tries to do a soft sell of a few products but nothing crazy.
While it is very soothing and nice, I'm just not sure it is worth her normal price of $130.00 for a facial (she has others that are $110, but that is still steep in my book). You aren't getting spa amenities and for that price you should be getting a comfy robe, steam room, etc.
The only problems that I had with the facial are the following:
1) I thought the extractions could have been a little more thorough and 2) Diana should put a pillow underneath the knees to support the lower back like they do in many places. My lower back was killing me after it was over.
Parking is easy - around the corner you can get 2 hours of free street parking.
Did I enjoy it? Yes.
Will I be back? If I picked up another coupon, but not at full price. -

Till this day, one of the best facials I have ever received. Very relaxing and yes, my face glowed after the treatment!!! I went several months ago and haven't been back for 2 reasons: Low budget and geography. (she's in Santa Monica I am in Hollywood)

I have had many facials in my life and Diana is in a league of her own. I refer all my friends and family to her. She is knowledgeable,( ask her about her continuing education), and caring. I have even been able to stop wearing foundation!!!

I first saw Diana at Jurlique in Beverly Hills, and knew she was an exception in the LA aesthetician pool. Rarely do aestheticians have the credentials, knowledge, and clinical/spa experience all rolled into such a genuine and sincere person. There is no phoney baloney about her, and thankfully, no LA attitude. She makes you feel immediately comfortable and relaxed.
If you have very sensitive skin, you won't leave with your face splotchy and red from extractions, which was something I'd often see before meeting Diana. Sometimes, my skin would be red, and then bruised-looking, for days. That has never happened at her hands; my skin is left glowing and soft.

I took advantage of the amazing $50 special and booked a visit with Diana for myself AND my mom. We both give her a glowing (har har) recommendation.
Before anything- she's incredibly sweet and gentle. She puts you at ease, and as she's extremely knowledgeable about her craft, you know your skin is in good hands. I have sensitive skin, and she answered all questions I had not only about my skin but what lotions and potions would work best (nothing seems to hydrate enough without making me break out), and as she applied different products, she explained their benefits thoroughly. She massages your neck, shoulders, arms and hands, too. She recommended different products, didn't PUSH any, but gave me tons of samples so I could try them out and see what I prefer.
My mom left the spa looking amazing! She was glowing and her wrinkles had faded significantly. I guess her skin gulped up the nutrients Diana gave her.

If you are looking to find the most healthy, effective way to take care of your skin in Los Angeles... look no further. Diana is THEE best esthetician you can find-- anywhere. I've been going to Diana for over 4 years now, and the reason that I have remained so faithful is this--Diana is a *wonderful* person, and she truly has the highest good of all concerned in mind.
What really strikes me about Diana is how committed she is to using the best, most sustainable products. She is uber-environmentally conscious, and she can tell you where her products come from, what they are made of, and why they are so beneficial. Just had another fabulous facial by Diana today and my skin is positively glowing. I LOVE her facials, incredible depth of knowledge, education on all skin care related topics, and her kindness. I originally met Diana when she was at Jurlique, but followed her to Premium Skin Care when she opened her own business. She is a truly amazing and rare aesthetician, and she is the ONLY person I will trust for a facial for my sensitive skin.
No joke - my husband once tried to buy me a gift certificate to another place in LA and I flat out refused to go since it wasn't Diana. My favorite part is that she uses all natural and organic skin care products and can recommend home-care products that keep your skin looking beautiful in between visits.
