is it just me, or did potbelly's just appear one day as an instantly huge chain? that's far from a complaint, though. i'm not a huge sandwich person, but i frequent the place thanks to their relatively cheap, fresh, and tasty veggie salad & NF vinaigrette dressing. sandwich wise, i've heard rave reviews of the veggie sandwich--one friend who is usually strictly carnivorous craves at least every week! their option of using "skinny" bread is also a good one for those who don't need quite as much bread, and i'm pretty sure they always toast the sandwiches to a nice crispy-but-still-melty texture. finally, i've heard that their shakes are delectable and bagged cookies are dangerously addicting! all in all, i'd have to admit that it's a solid chain with friendly service, fresh ingredients, and reliably tasty options.

The best thing about Potbellys, by far,  is their fresh-baked sugar cookies. I realize this is a sandwich place, and I don't even like sugar cookies, usually ... but theirs turn me into Cookie Monster himself. They're enormous and doughy and sweet and buttery and PERFECT. Don't miss them.

When it comes to sandwiches, Potbellys does a good job. I usually stick with the turkey on wheat. Ordering it "skinny" means they remove some of the bread, as Jen said. The bread is usually buttered, as a general rule, but you can ask them to skip it. They toast everything, too.

I used to eat here almost every day for lunch, doing my best to avoid the fast food chains nearby. It's a good, consistent choice, and you can count on it being healthier than Chick-Fil-A or some such grease-fest.

Good sandwiches and they deliver.  We were too busy to leave the office so I called out for sandwiches.  Normally I use Jimmy John's but we were all a little tired of JJ's.  I called and order three tuna, and two Italian.  They came on time and well packed.  I love Potbelly's because of the hot pepper relish they serve with the sandwiches.  We finished our lunches and were energized  the rest of the day.  Not really, I fell asleep watching DS9 on my computer, but everyone else said they liked it.

Potbelly is a step above Subway in a lot of ways.  They run their sandwiches through an oven so they're nice and toasty when you get ready to eat and I absolutely love their broccoli and cheese soup (although I can't ever remember what day they serve it!).  The bread is always fresh and a little on the crispier side (which is harder to eat for those of us who are currently orthodontically challenged).  Current favorites: ham and turkey sandwiches.

Also, if you've never tried their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, you don't know what you're missing!

Which Wich is ten times better. Even Subway is better than this place - ....WW has so much more variety in the way you can customize your sandwich/toppings and just better overall.

Blah - I won't be going back here!

If your stomach is looking for a good meal than look no further because Potbelly's sandwiches are where it is at. I love getting the wrecks with root beer, but I have heard good things about the Italian as well. Great service, great food, and great live music! The perfect lunch spot. I highly recommend this place.

I have read all of the other reviews for Potbelly and I generally agree with them. I do like their sandwiches - I get the skinny turkey on wheat everything on it, extra peppers with light mayo. I have never gotten my order wrong, but I do agree with almost everybody about the service.
Not sure why people like to engage me in conversation, but they do, and I inevitably make it uncomfortable by saying something awkward too quietly and then having to repeat myself louder to emphasize the awkwardness. All that being said, I assume they are supposed to be "friendly" there so every time I go, whether it be the one on Knox or the one in Addison, the dang sandwich people try to chat me up. And ask me what I want over and over and over. And over. But I guess they get it right...
The price is right $4 for a sandwich - most burgers at fast food joints that have lettuce and tomatoes on them (Big and Tasty anyone? So freakin' gross) are about that.
I do like their paper cups, they are squat and chubby, kinda like what you would look like if you ate there as much as you would want to.
And yes, those oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. They have crack in them. But the type of crack that doesn't dry the cookie out. (I have ruined many a batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipes trying to duplicate what they do).
I like Potbellys, and the service aspect is like having to go through the lollipop part of blowpop, not too bad, but you really just want the gum... It's like a ritual, a formality that must be had before eating.
I will say, I do feel greasy after I leave there. Like how you feel after eating a Snuffer's burger. Satisfying, but you leave feeling like you might have gain a pound in the process.

I'm not sure why the reviews of this place are so high.  The sandwiches are small for the money and if you happen to not eat the swine then you don't have very many options.  Their "veggie" sandwich basically consists of cheese, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and a couple of small mushrooms.

The fact that they have a "skinny" option on the red meat and pork laden "Wreck" sandwich is worth at least two demerits for blatant oxymoron.  Yeah, like the slightly larger bread is the reason people get fat.

The menu is small and this place is extraordinarily mediocre.  Jimmy John's is much better for a chain sandwich shop.  For the money, you'd be infinitely better off getting a sandwich made at the deli in Central Market.

I don't know why it took me so long to finally eat at this sandwich place.  Maybe it was because I thought it was just another sandwich shop that opened like every other place in Dallas and it would be satisfactory.  After my first visit, which was about 6 months ago, I have been OBSESSED with this place.

When I come, I ALWAYS order 'The Wreck' on white.  Salami, Roast Beef, Turkey & Ham with Swiss Cheese have never tasted so good.  Why? Why? Why?
"Lettuce, Onions, Tomatoes, Hot Peppers, Oil & Italian Seasoning"...is the exact order each time.  And I know what does it, its those damn hot peppers and oil & italian seasoning!

I am so hooked that I have eaten here 4 times in one week.  No sandwich shop has ever had the privilege of doing this to me, so 'You're Welcome, Potbelly'.  You got me!

Potbelly has yummy sandwiches. I like that they have the "skinny" option for the bread (which means they pull out some of the bread so its not so carby). I usually get the turkery breast, but my friends rave about the wreck. The chocolate banana milkshake is fantastic and comes in a reasonable size which is nice. They also sell cookies they bake fresh in store each day - oatmeal chocolate chip I think? They're awesome.

Hi! My name is Aimee and I am a Potbelly-Macaroni-Salad-Addict.

Whew, there, I said it!  I'm not quite sure what exactly it is about their creamy macaroni salad... but I basically drink it directly from the 2 ounce paper cup.

I order Skinny Wrecks when I go to Potbelly.  Sometimes, when I remember I have them put extra Turkey instead of the Ham.. but it's still good when I forget.  The Skinny option is just perfect for me anyway because I have just never been much of a bread person to begin with.  That, and when they scoop out the insides of the bread... it makes a perfect little well to hold all the delicious toppings so that they dont fall out in your lap.  Potbelly: 1 Dry Cleaners: 0.

Yes, their milkshakes are great... but I am a cookie girl at heart.  Don't let an adversion to Oatmeal Cookies throw you... because their Oatmeal Chocolate Chip are truly All That and a Bag of Chips.

I have a problem.  I love Potbelly.  I will eat there twice in one day with no shame and would probably eat breakfast there if they served it on a toasted sub roll.  With a cookie.  Oh god, the cookies.  Have you had one warm, right out of the oven?  This is equivalent to happening upon a fresh-from-the-fryer batch of fries at McDonalds.  It's just so right.

I frequent the Potbelly by my office in the hinterlands of Plano/Frisco and when I'm not at work I'm at the one near Preston and Forest.  Both of these locations offer superb sandwich-making service, though the lines are ridiculous at lunch time.

I've been to the one in Knox-Henderson and I'm not impressed.  They botch orders and are generally brain dead.  They have yet to master the simple, yet important task of taking orders.

Example:
What I asked for: skinny turkey with a little lettuce and a little light mayo
What I got: skinny turkey with a lot of tomatoes and at least two big squeezes of regular mayo

Potbelly: 1
Me: 0

But it's worth it.  Trust me.  There's crack in them thar sandwiches.  I.can't.stop.eating.them.

Great place for a quick meal and sometimes theres a live singer up top.  It gets real packed during lunch, but they make sandwiches really quickly and are quite delicious.  They even have malts and shakes and soups, great meal for a great price.

Great sandwich, incompetent service.  This is truly my favorite subway sandwich chain on earth.  However, at rush hour, particularly at this location, it is so loud that they have screwed up my order 6 times in the past two months.

They attempt to be a NYC pizza joint yelling out for your order.  Then, in the background there is a struggling musician playing his guitar.  While the musician is often talented, it just adds to the confusion.

Employee:   "Ma'am, what do you want?"
Me:  "Skinny tuna on wheat, no cheese"
Employee to other employee: "She wants a turkey on wheat"
Me: "No, that is not what I said"
Employee: "Next person, what do you want?"
Me: "Sir?"
Employee: "Next."

Then, I just take the turkey b/c I don't want to wait for another screwed up sandwich to go through the toaster.  Potbelly and I have a love/hate relationship.
