We've been to this restaurant at least half a dozen times, and have never been disappointed.  This evening we arrived around 7:30 pm -- peak time on a Friday evening.  Lillian greeted us and told us it would just be a couple minutes for a table.  We waited maybe a minute when the male host (don't know his name) assured us that it would only be another minute.  Then Sharon waited on us.  All 3 -- friendly, smiling, attentive, and efficient.  They really acted as though they were happy to see us.

We ordered nothing too exotic: the walnut prawns, lemon chicken (each dish came with soup, spring rolls, and rice, tea and of course, fortune cookies) Thai wings, and pork pot stickers.  All of the food was tasty and hot.  My husband even commented when the wings arrived, "Good to know they don't just leave the food sitting on the counter" -- everything was fresh and flavorful.

We like the price too -- $36 complete dinner for 2, and more, with left-overs for the weekend.

This may not be haute cuisine, but the service, the food, and the pricing is very good, and I think it is consistent -- so very good value for the money.

Oh, and while the staff does not rush you, it is impressive to see how quickly they clean once patrons leave.  The place is well-run.

First of all, the "Potsticker King" was either overthrown or he sold out (I don't know... maybe the King didn't pay his chefs enough to stick around), because this ain't the Potsticker King that I knew from 2 years ago, which was the last time I was here.

To date, I've been here probably about 6-8 times.  I live in SoCal and I've always loved to stop by this restaurant when I'm in the Bay Area.

First of all, their claim-to-fame Potstickers tasted like what I would imagine a flat tire would taste like.  It was oversized, tasteless, and kind of cold.  I just felt like it was something I could have purchased at 99 Ranch Market's frozen food section.

Secondly, their menu has since changed.  It used to be 2 pages, with only simple Taiwanese small dishes (e.g., Juicy pork dumplings, potstickers, sticky rice, other steamed/baked goodies, etc).  Now their menu is a full-blown 8 pages or so with all the other type of Chinese food... and it tastes nasty (think Panda Express and you'll catch my drift).  Their Juicy Pork Dumplings (aka. Xiao Long Bao) is $4.50 for four pieces... talk about over-priced for mediocre xiao long bao.  A&J, your direct competitor just a few blocks away, charges about $2.50 for four pieces I believe (at least that's what A&J charges in their SoCal locations).

Here's my recommendation to management:  Lose the extensive menu and focus on your core competencies.  Go back to basics, focus on quality and put yourself in your customers' shoes.

I'd love to give them 4 stars but the Pot Sticker King should serve hot pot stickers not luke warm.  I really just wanted some pot stickers to kill some time... I was waiting for a shopping list via phone and hadn't eaten anything all day so I walked over to PSK from Daiso/Marukai and ordered a lunch combo with a 4pc steamed dumplings.

The lunch combo was of decent portion... I chose Honey Walnut Prawn after taking 9 minutes to decide... I'm very indecisive since I just want to try a bite of everything.  Honey Walnut Prawns were gorgeous and pretty darn huge... there were like 6 or so but again they were massive so it was cool.  They were served on a bet of ice berg lettuce and I thought it lacked mayo but I guess some restaurants don't add the white creamy stuff... I love white creamy sauces... I chose fried rice other choices include brown rice and steamed rice and it came with a soup.  I chose the Wonton Soup over the Hot & Sour... looking back I should have ordered the Hot & Sour.  I finished my soup but I could tell they just drop 2 dumpling in the cup and then pour a broth over it.  I'm not against this method but the dumplings were cold so they were warm to the bite.  My second one is slightly warmer since it sat in the warm soup for a couple minutes longer.  The broth was very different from most wonton soup's I've tried... more of a dashi or Udon Soup flavor to me... which is more of a Japanese thing.  with a couple hits of white vinegar and a dollop of chili sauce I was good to go and finished it.

The two pan friend dumplings that came with my lunch plate were cold not warm... not ice cold but they definitely hadn't seen heat in quite a while.  Now I don't know why some potstickers are made with a thick flour skin and other very thin... I'm trying to learn more about them right now with Google's help...  I prefer the think skinned but I've had some pretty good thick skinned ones too.  Here not so much.

Saying that... their steamed version or dumplings  were quite tasty and hot!  Thankfully they actually steam them to order so it takes a few more minutes but definitely worth it if you enjoy warm food.

Service was uber friendly and the lady who waited on me was lovely... she was very helpful and patient with my indecisiveness.

My meal with a $3 tip came out to be over $17... not bad but not cheap for one either.

    Human Rights Suppression King.

I haven't been here in over a year now.  The last time we were there our usual waitress brought us some potstickers we had not ordered without saying a word.  We assumed they were a treat or a mis-order from another table and ate them promptly.  Soon after, she returned having realized that, in-fact, she had dropped them at the wrong table.

She shrugged and so did we - simple mistake.  But when the bill arrived it included those potstickers.  When we challenged this, it was clear why she did.  The manager came over and heard the very short story and gave the waitress and absolutely chilling look.  She then said, "I will pay for them".  The manager was satisfied and they left before we could object.

I could not believe it.  These potstickers and the energy it too to cook them probably cost the restaurant $0.06.  The group of us were speechless.

In America, especially in american business, people make mistakes that can hurt the business, and the business understands that and pays for it.  Their are legal protections and tax incentives in place for businesses so that if this happens the individuals are protected.  This leads to a more civilized work environment, and better economic results.  To shame a worker in public, with a financial punishment is downright criminal.

    I cannot support this business.

Wanted to go to Liang mama but it closed early for chinese new years so ended up here. The food was so-so. Wish the scallion pancakes were more crispy. The za jiang mian was decent. Green beans were good. I've had a lot worse Chinese food, but since this is in Cupertino where lots of asians are, I expected better!

So, went with my brother to pick up a tea pot at Daiso and Pot Sticker King caught his attention:

"Is it REALLY the King of Pot stickers?" he asked.
"Um, I only had a noodle dish there before and it was watev." I mumbled.
"The challenge is on. I will find out for myself."
"But I just said," I replied.
    "I'm buying..." he mentioned.
"Where do you want to sit?!" I shouted as I scurried through the parking lot.

We entered the restaurant, two Caucasian families. Doh! Double fail. Pot Sticker King failed my short hand evaluation of a Chinese restaurant: 1. Are there Asian patrons?  2. Are there specifically Chinese patrons?  Too late, we're seated. Tea served. OK, then, 1 order of chicken pan-fried pot stickers, 1 order of pork steamed pot stickers, and 1 order of pork shumai looking pot stickers, please, thank you!

    Pros
    - Clean and colorful interior
    - Very friendly staff - I'm a smiler, I smile at everyone, but not everyone always smile back. Pot sticker King did. ;) Giving 3 stars due to excellent service

    Con
    - Ain't no Pot sticker king found here! Not a queen, prince, princess or even a jester!

    Conclusion
Sorry, simply won't be returning here.  Going to try this soup in a pot sticker restaurant in Saratoga. Keep a look out for this review!

This place is an average Chinese restaurant.  I walked in expecting this, and it met my expectations.  I ordered the kung pao chicken special, which came with fried rice, kung pao chicken, an egg roll, and a cup of hot and sour soup.  The fried rice was good.  The chicken was good too.  The egg roll was not good.  Inside, it was soggy.  I should have gotten the potstickers instead.  As for the soup, it was good, but a little too salty.  We also got the green onion pancake.  That was my favorite part of the meal.  I love green onion pancakes!  Here, it was crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside.  Yum.  I probably would not come here again, but this place is alright in my book.

I came here for a late dinner with a friend and I will not be a returning customer. There are much better options for food in this plaza (McHart's Pizza, Liang's Village, Elephant Bar, Olarn Thai, Verde, Wahoo, Kong Tofu).

We ordered the pork pot stickers, beef chow fun, and some meat entree that totaled to $30. Not only were the portions ridiculous small (the beef chow fun was barely enough to feed one person; come on a McD sandwich is more filling!) it was also completely drenched in oil! They even skimped on the noodles...I can understand you holding back on the meat but the noodles too?!

I was also not very impressed with their potstickers. Do yourself a favor and pick up a frozen bag of them at Ranch 99 a couple blocks down and pan fry them at home, they'll taste better.

One of the Yelp reviewers wrote that he arranged to have a dish from Pot Sticker King delivered all the way to Southern California.  Given the profusion of good Taiwanese restaurants down south, the 500-mile delivery piqued our curiosity.  So we made a special trip to Pot Sticker King for the sole purpose of trying it.

The dish turned out to be the House Rice Bowl (#11 on the menu), which comprised of stewed pork, ground pork, fuzzy pork (a.k.a. ma-hu), pickled veggies, and a tea egg served over white rice.

While it didn't exactly blow our minds, the House Rice Bowl was tasty enough to make us want to order it again next time.  The same conclusion also applies to the restaurant's eponymous dish.

4 years ago this was the place for tasty & affordable Chinese food.
Unfortunately now, the higher price does not justify the small portions. Yes, the price has increased on every item & the portions have been cut in 1/2.
This place is now a ripoff.
DO NOT order the string bean beef! This is basically just an order of string beans with 4 tiny pieces of beef & the string beans were uncooked.

Congrats to Pot Sticker King for making the WORST meal I've had in a long time. What an utter disappointment it was to dine here . . .

    Kung Pao Chicken   -
Disgusting. Sauce is overly watery and doesn't even taste good.  I hate cuts of chicken with fat/tendon on them & that's the quality of chicken they used in this dish.

Rice Cake with Green Mustard and Pork -
Bland. Only flavor is that of boiled pork. Needed to add soy sauce to even make this dish edible.

    Salt & Pepper Fish -
Disappointing. Fish cuts use were chunky, instead of thin, leading to uneven cooking. Some parts of the batter weren't even cooked thoroughly. Instead of being crispy, the fish was soggy. Fish had a strong fishy/ocean taste, yuck.

I wanted to try to their pot stickers, but was unable to during this visit. . . I doubt I will ever come back here to try them.

    Service - terrible!
    Food - Horrible!
    Quantity - pitiful!

For two adults and one child, we ordered three dishes - honey prawns, seafood hot pot and steam fish.

The fish came twenty minutes after the first two dishes arrived on the table and it was cold.
Total of nine prawns and the bottom was just some broken chunks of lettuce and by mistake, the chef also included the heart which  should be discarded but it landed on the plate.
The worst of all, the seafood tofu pot had two prawns and several of tofu and the whole pot just contained chunks of daikon.  I thought it was a mistake and I thought of asking the waitress but she was having such a bad time, I decided to keep it to myself.

One star only!   we will not return to this place again!

Although it's called Potsticker King, it's not that they specialize in only potstickers.  They basically have a regular Chinese restaurant menu, with everything from beef noodle soup to salt and pepper pork to honey walnut prawns.  Not sure if I would go for dim sum at a Taiwanese place, though.

Anyway, they have chicken, beef, pork, or vegetable potstickers. I was hoping they'd be the skinny kind with the two ends open like in Taiwan, but they're more like pan fried dumplings.  They end up costing $1/each, depending on if you get a plate of 4 or 8.  I like the dipping sauce, which I basically used for everything else.

Other things to get: beef noodle soup (though it was more soy saucy than it was beefy), lettuce leaf cups (with chicken breast), niu rou juan bing (rolled up green onion pancake with beef and scallions inside).  As with most Chinese food, it can be kind of greasy.

Like most Chinese restaurants, they also have the family meal option and lunch specials.  I like how the menu states whether it's dark meat chicken or chicken breast (those of you who know me know I only like boneless skinless chicken breast) :P

Service is very friendly, and they actually speak English, and the restaurant itself is very clean.  Maybe that's why the restaurant isn't filled with only Chinese people.  They refilled sodas pretty quickly, and food comes out pretty fast.

They do have coupons online on their website, and they're currently running a yelp special.  Surprisingly, they take all credit cards (including Discover and American Express!)

    Food:

We ordered three of their lunch specials. We ordered different combination of soy milk, dough stick, egg wrap, and grilled pancake.  Our fourth friend got a bowl of beef congee.  For 5 dollars, their lunch special was actually very tasty.  I would give it 4 stars for that based on food quality and price alone.  The dough stick was hot and crispy and the egg wraps were good.

However, we also ordered a side order of pot stickers and that was quite disappointing.  The skin was a litlte thick and the top wasn't crispy.  Having the name of "pot sticker king" and at 8.50 for 8 potstickers, I'd say that would be a big disappointment.  I would recommend Joy Restaurant in Foster City over them any day for Pot Stickers.

    Service:

It was decent.  Food came out in a timely manner.  Had to ask for water twice before the waitress would bring it.

    Recommendation:

The 5 dollar lunch special is definitely worth it.  I'd stay away from their pot stickers.

This place is right near the entrance of the Cupertino plaza on Stevens Creek...came here with a buddy and tried out szechuan chicken, garlic green beans, and honey walnut prawns.

Of the three, the honey walnut prawns were the tastiest, but they were pretty standard as compared with many of the other asian restaurants that carry this dish.  I will say that the prawns are on the larger side.

The szechuan chicken and garlic green beans were bland at best.  Wasn't too big of a fan of either of those dishes.

The bill for those three dishes came to about $45 after tax/tip.  Chinese food for two in Cupertino running that high? You must be kidding me.

Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes, but I don't think I'll be going back to this place.  There are much better food options a mile down at the Cupertino Village Plaza on Wolfe road.

Service was somewhat slow at first, but that was understandable since I came during lunch hour.  I ordered several different kind of pot stickers, the salt and pepper chicken and green onion pancake.  The green onion pancake were good along with the chicken.  It wasn't too dry which is always good.  Only a couple things made this experience negative as the Pot Stickers really are not worthy of being labeled "King", more like a "Prince".  They were good, but not great.  Other than that the service was decent along with everything else.  I would definitely come here again.

Okay. I'm a little embarrassed to even write a review to this place bc I don't want to admit that I've eaten here!  -__-

I would give it 0 stars, but they actually produced food that was edible and they are getting an extra star because they were open on Christmas. Chinese restaurants never close. We were going to go to Saratoga Bagels but they were just closing when we called. :(

Anyway, the smell of the tan tan noodles my cousin got was so horrible that it overwhelmed everything else we got. Just thinking about it makes me want to vomit. Dude... tan tan noodles are supposed to be tasty! Green onion pancake was all right - lots of better places to get that.

I guess I would ONLY come here at 5pm on Christmas day when everything else is closed. Actually... no. I'd definitely rather fast until the 26th.

First of all the title doesn't really have to do with anything with their food. If anything, there are only 3 different kinds of potstickers LOL....

This place is mainly Chinese food I would say. The environment is pretty busy only because a lot of people are on their lunch breaks. The service is fast and very efficient. Our waitress wrote down what we ordered while looking at us instead of looking down at her pad haha. Crazy shit!

My gf and I had the lunch special so we got to choose one from A and B. I had the 3 potstickers and chow fun. My gf had the pancakes with stew soup and egg noodles. Everything was $20 in total which was great! The food is pretty good actually. My dish had that burnt tipped noodle which gave it that good char flavor. The amount was decent and the pot stickers were pretty chunky. I don't think the meat was all that cooked but whatev, it was yummy. My gf's soup according to her was rich and the meat was tender. I loveddddd her pancakes. MMM the dough is amazing!!

Overall, this place is pretty decent for what it is. The amount is just right and the price is worth it! Its pretty cheap here but the quality is there to me. I'd come back for more :)

I rarely give one stars so when I do that must mean something... the boyfriend & I came here after a LONG day in Santa Cruz.  He recommended this place & since it was my first time being in the cupertino area I went along with it, I wish I never did -___-

    the food:
    - it was ok, nothing to memorable. We got the chow mein & walnut shrimp, tastes just like many other chinese restaurants.. Also, they don't give you cup of waters unless you ask since its their way of helping the environment & saving water (or thats what it said on the card on the table)

    the service:
    - oh god, soo horrible .. I still can't believe how BAD it was! I understand asian restaurants doesn't usually have the best service but at least they give us some kind of attention. I remember sending back a dirty dish & the lady gave us such a dirty look, I feared that she would spit in my food -___- Also, they had the NERVE to stop me while I was walking out the door to say that my tip wasn't enough & they wouldn't let me leave until I gave them what they wanted.  I could have sworn tipping was optional (even though I always do it, good service or bad) & I only tip horribly if they give me bad service.. def never coming back here ever again.

My mother loves this place.  We've been coming here ever since it opened.  Sometimes they have coupons and who doesn't like saving money?

Like the name of the restaurant, they pretty much specialize in pot stickers, but they have a great deal of quality other things.  I don't even know what they're called in English so i'll do my best to directly translate.  The beef wraps, scallion pancakes, beef over rice, and beef noodle soup were all solid dishes.

One thing I found interesting was their availability of Jarritos...the Mexcian bottled soda? I don't know either, but I like Jarritos and so I'm not complaining.

Celebrated Easter here with my family. Service was a little slow to start after we got seated, as the line was out the door. But our waitress was super responsive and helpful once she arrived. We've been coming here since '08, and feel that the food is consistently good, especially the green onion pancakes. My wife and I love Honey Walnut Prawns, but unfortunately the style of that dish here is a little different, where the prawns are heavily battered. Aside from that, every dish we had in our family meal was enjoyable - and there was plenty of food!

Service may be hit or miss depending on time of day and wait staff, but our waitress was exceptional in terms of remember all the little requests we had and responding to them quickly.

Does this place really live up to its name? I honestly can't answer that since I only had two potstickers for lunch today. Instead, I went Chinese-American and tried the lunch special ($8 for a regular including 2 potstickers or egg rolls, soup and choice of rice or $8.50 for seafood). A preggos girl sometimes has those weird cravings for something not so authentically Chinese, so yeah.

Based on the two potstickers I had, I can only say that it was a-okay. I'll have to come back again and order more of the Chinese-y stuff in order to give it a fair rating. It did look like it was a good place for the lunch crowd though.

    More like Pot Sticker Pauper.

I did not enjoy eating at this place at all. The food was bad and the service was worse.

I went here with two friends and we ordered:

The lettuce wraps: the filling that we were supposed to wrap the lettuce around was terrible. The sauce tasted bad and the meat itself was bad quality. The lettuce was pretty fresh, but I'm not a big fan of eating a leaf of lettuce by itself.

The pork pot sticker: not the worst pot sticker I've ever had but not very good. The wrapping was a bit too doughy and seemed undercooked. The filling tasted fine but was nothing special.

The chicken pot sticker: AWFUL. I've never even heard of chicken pot stickers. I figured I shouldn't have even ventured to try it but I thought I'd give it a shot. Boy do I wish I hadn't. The wrapping was the same as the pork. Undercooked. The chicken tasted kind of bitter. Even after drenching and drowning the entire thing inside and out in soy sauce it still tasted bad. I don't know what they did but I hope no where else ever does it. Please don't order this.

The service irked me. I'm brown skinned (I'm a mutt and you can't necessarily tell what I am) and I went with two Latin girls. As we were shown to our table the waiter grabbed our chopsticks and removed them and left us with forks. I may be brown but I can use chopsticks! When we asked for the chopsticks back he laughed at us and said "oh you want to practice?" Don't assume! (though when my friend asked for a box to take leftovers...I don't know why she did...she had the chance to show that she could use the chopsticks by transferring them from plate to box. She dropped them. I was embarrassed and she failed us)

We also had to ask for water several times and it took a while to get out food. I really didn't like this place and don't plan on going back.

I went to Potsticker King with my boyfriend for lunch on a Sunday and there were quite some people at the restaurant but they were able to seat us immediately.

We both ordered from the lunch specials ($9-9.50) which included 2 groups (appetizer and main entree). My boyfriend got an order of potstickers (3 fat pieces) and vegetable chow fun. I ordered green onion pancake and beef stew.

Loved the green onion pancake! The potstickers weren't that special, which is weird cause the place is called Potsticker King. My boyfriend cleaned his chow fun up pretty fast so I'm sure he loved it. My beef stew had LOTS of tender beef and udon noodles. The broth was really rich.

Everything ended up to be a little under $20. I'll definitely come back!

After eating here, my sissy had a vision and made the decision to buy her wedding dress that day! Coincidence? I think not.

We had an amazing family style lunch that got all 4 of us pretty full. There was hardly a lunch crowd and the server let us order from the lunch menu even though it was almost dinner time. Very nice since the prices were a lot better. I like the fact that she has a very American name but could hardly communicate with us. But man, she was a sweetheart! We got the pot stickers which were good but I wish we got more than 5 pieces. It's like, "Who's going to take the last piece?"

The pork fried rice was bomb and the H2O refills kept coming like no other. The food came out quick and was steaming hot (my fav) so we dug into the walnut shrimp. Ughhh, I wish they delivered to Union City.

This is my current go-to place for Chinese.  It's not great, I just can't find anything better at the moment.  The lunch special is a nice value (comes with your choice of rice, of soups, and pot stickers).

Amusingly, their pot stickers are the only thing I don't like.  They're way too big and full of meat, I'd like a better filling-to-wrapper ratio.  The dipping sauce for them is yummy though.

My stomach is sadly sensitive and I easily have "stomach issues" from food, but I've never gotten sick from this place.  That's a big bonus, in my book.

I always get take out, and the staff has always been nice to me.

Pot Sticker King is a good bang for your buck. I like that the entrees are never overly coated with sauces like at Chinese fast food restaurants.

So, for under $10 you can get  a combo meal, which includes soup, potstickers or eggrolls, rice, and an entree with a portion size large enough for two days - great deal!

Avoid the green onion pancakes, they taste like tortillas. All of the chicken dishes that come with the combo special are great, the pan-fried noodles are fabulous.

Oh, and for some reason, the best tasting fortune cookies ever are from here.

    2.5 stars.

With a name like Pot Sticker King, I thought there would be more potsticker selection. My friends and I were disappointed that the potstickers were considered an appetizer instead of an entree. One ordered the pork and the other ordered the chicken. The pork was okay but I've had better. Actually I think my Costco potstickers taste better. If you're going to have more skin then make sure it's good. The chicken was even worse. The chicken wasn't juicy and tender.

I ordered the Beef Noodle with scallion/green onion pancake combo (~$8.95). The Beef Noodle wasn't as good as A&J Restaurant in Cupertino Village. The soup base was a little too watery and they used udon noodles. The onion pancake was okay but then again all you do is pan fry it.

Overall, the waitress was nice enough to devise a plan so that we could get the 2 free eggrolls when you Check-in on Yelp (requires a minimum $15 excluding the dinner combinations). I do not plan on coming back.

Pot Sticker King has an awesome won ton sop. I have tried different won ton soups from various restaurants and found Pot Sticker King's to be super yummy.  The soup had tons of vegetables (buk choy, carrots, bambo shoots, etc) and was very flavorful and delicious. This particular won ton soup was very hearty and had a good amount of won tons.  They also allow you to add extra chicken, pork, beef, or vegetables.

To sum it up, Pot Sticker King makes a kick ass won ton soup. I would definitely come back for the soup again. :)

    Dumplings = B+
(Took forever to come out - COLD. But they were surprisingly juicy inside! Good meat to meat-juice ratio.)

    Green onion pancake = C-
(No filling whatsoever. Just batter. Come on, try a little harder?)

    Service = D-
(Will you please bring us our water? Utensils? Napkins? Our freaking FOOD?! Is this because we had non-Chinese friends in our group? Ughhhhhh give me a break. We just wanted some decent Chinese food in Cupertino, but you're making it sooooo difficult...)

THE GOOD: POT STICKERS WERE REALLY TASTY!!! THAT"S ALL......

THE BAD: Ok so the service was awful, the food was meh, the price was ok, but the food just lacked flavor.  Didn't like it and i thhink they can do much better.  Will go back for an order of potstickers though lol......hence the 2 stars :-)

    Decor
Efficient tabling. I wonder if people ever have to wait because there aren't that many seats.

    Food
This place is not too bad for a treat when you want to take a break from bachelor food. The lunch special is standard Chinese food. e.g., lemon chicken, kung pao chicken. It's pretty oily, but the ingredients taste fresh. No mushy bell peppers or sticky soup. The special comes with 2 potstickers, choice of soup and choice of rice (white/brown/fried). The potstickers are pretty good, but they're not anything to get excited about. Temperatures are decent. Panda Express makes me more content.

    Price
It was acceptable for the way it filled me up. $8 for a lunch special, $1 extra when it's not lunch time (up to 3 PM?). Potstickers are about $1.25 a piece.

    Service
Servers are not very attentive and are just people who bring you food. Otherwise, the waitresses are friendly when greeting you in and out. This place also needs more fluent English speakers! If you don't speak the language, you are sometimes unsure if they acknowledge your orders.

    Overall
This is somewhere to go if you don't really have any other ideas that are exciting, or you've spent all your other options already. I will take this place over Merlion next door any day, except the day I am forced to, which is the day I loudly complain inside and leave a $0 tip (see Merlion review).
