Definitely overpriced and nothing to write home about.

Being a true Tex-Mex food junkie, I think it should be criminal to charge more than about $7 for a cheese enchilada plate.

A rule I learned about eating Mexican is if there aren't any people of Hispanic heritage there working and eating it probably isn't worth the stop. That was true tonight about this place.

My wife who gets darn good margaritas all over Austin and Round Rock, got a margarita that was twice as expensive as we usually pay and about half as good.

I think I have wasted enough pixels on this review.

I got a $10 coupon in the mail and thought ok, maybe they've improved and I can cash this in and have dinner.   OMG, the wait was ridiculous.

I've been there twice before over the past few years and always the food was bad, the drinks worse and the staff was OK at best.

I wouldn't recomend this place at all and was shocked they had a crowd the nite we couldn't get any service.

The food is NOT good, mushy and overcooked.   Atmosphere is horrible like a pinata exploded and they just added Christmas lites.

Tacky, dirty, and bad food.    Have no desire to go back!   YUK!

Amazing food, fast service, and free sopapillas: who could ask for more?  I love the fajitas and their enchiladas are to die for.  The servers are very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is fun (beer bottle chandeliers: heat!).  Delicious salsa and queso as well.

ETA: Posados has been sending out some amazing coupons in the mail including buy one get one free fajita dinners.  That takes care of the price concerns from previous reviewers!  Yum.  :)

I don't want to talk about it...I feel violated.

Mexican food doesn't describe it, Tex Mex doesn't fit either. Maybe it's good for Midwest Mex?  I don't know,  I'm born and raised here so mama never taught me about that particular brand of Mex!  If you've ever been exposed to Mexican food south of the Oklahoma border you ought to know better.

Bad reviews make me feel lile I'm crapping on someones livelihood so that's all I'll say on this one.

- Good food
- Great service
- Free sopapillas and ice cream cones!!

I liked this place. The rice and beans were okay, but the enchiladas I got were fantastic. And I *have* been out of Pflugerville and am *from* the Midwest, where there were better Mexican places than down here in Texas. I am not a fan of Americanized Tex-Mex. The salsa was different (kind of had a sweet flavor to it), but was not bad. The chips were freshly made without a bucket of salt poured all over them.

It was more expensive than what I'm used to paying for Mexican food, but was pretty consistent with how much it would cost for a dinner at any other restaurant.

Also, the free sopapillas and ice cream cones were a definite plus! I can't believe they don't advertise that or at least have it on their menu somewhere! I thought it was strange that the waitor didn't tell us about the free ice cream- we had to ask about it.

Service was great though- food came out quickly and our waitor was helpful and courteous.

The interior design was pretty busy, but so is almost every other Mexican restaurant I've been to.  The place was very clean.

Amazing Fajitas and Queso!! I've noticed lately that I have been eating lot more Mexican food, and every time we go for Mexican I can never find a place with good Queso and Fajitas. It's always one or the other... kind of sucks!! Well Good News.... The Search Is Over!!

We came here last night, and the hostess was very polite and courteous. Our waiter was pretty nice as well. As we started grubbing into the chips and salsa (WHICH IS REALLY GOOD BY THE WAY) I noticed that people were singing... and after awhile I noticed it was the kitchen singing. Of pitch and off key of course but it was pretty entertaining. The Hubbie found it kind of annoying, but I guess it just depends on who it is cause I really enjoyed it. The food was really good, I liked the butter that comes with the fajitas, I think that what makes it so much better.

As far as desert, I usually don't get them but The Hubbie wanted sopapias so I was like okay sure. I liked them!! Another thing I like about this place is they give you free ice cream and who doesn't like free ice cream.

That's it from me... love this place i'll be coming back for sure!!

Posados is open, cheerful and very colorful inside. I find myself staring at the Corona beer bottle chandeliers cause i kinda want one for some odd reason. So...+1 star for atmosphere.

The salsa, as mentioned in previous reviews tastes like its been watered down. I'd barely call it mild. Basically tasteless. Like it was meant for kids to eat. So... -1star for poor salsa and chips.

I had the Enchiladas Des Tres, Wife had the Fish Tacos, Tortilla soup. No real complaints here. It was decent and edible. Nothing to get to excited about though. But not bad. The kid meals on the other hand looked yucky. Frozen prebreaded chicken strips were terrible. My daughter ate 1/2 of one. So... +1 star for edible entrees. -1 star for not so good kids meals.

Our server seemed totally disassociated and detached from what was going on. They were not very busy so it just seemed a little odd. I felt like we were bothering her to ask for more tea or for the bill.
So... -1 star for the service

They have complimentary sopapias and cone ice cream as you leave which is kinda cool. So...+1 star for the freebies.

Free sopapillas and ice cream!

The food is ok.  I'm not a fan of tex-mex.. love mexican food though.  The food isn't hot (yay), the salsa is pretty plain but I didn't mind it.  Food overall was ok - I wasn't impressed, but I wasn't disappointed.

Place looks nice inside.  There was nobody there when we were.. 9PM on a Monday though.

Service was fast and friendly.  No errors on the orders.

I've come to this establishment, in the past, many times. Either because I had friends that were servers, or my brother was getting a tattoo next door. I never considered them top notch, but because my family came in later than usual to spend the Labor Day weekend, I thought I would give them a chance. First, a plus, they are open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The parking was easy. We get inside, and are seated at a small four person table, placed around many empty big tables. There is business present, but not a full house by any means. After about 5 min. we get water and chips and salsa. Okay. We continue to wait another 5-10 min. to be asked our drink orders. Our server had one other table of two people who were fairly easy to please. 20 min. after we sit down, we receive our drinks. Can you say, "Silent Rage?" The entire night, more of the same from the ill-prepared server, to the chip guy, to the other servers just watching this happen. I was truly ashamed to have brought my family here. Regretfully, they have lost my business. I received better courtesy and professionalism from Cheddar's next door.

Never again. The food was bland, overpriced, and made me wish we had just gone next door to another eatery...

Not bad, but not my favorite either.  While I appreciate that each customer gets his or her own ramekin, the salsa was a little bland for my taste.  The fish tacos were decent, but they were heavy on the corn tortilla and a light on the tilapia.  Plus, $14 (including tip) for a tex-mex lunch seems sort of high.  I believe most of the lunch items were $8-$10.

On the plus side, service was fast and our orders were all accurate.  At 12:30 on a Friday, there was plenty of room, so if you have a big group, I'm confident they could accommodate you.  I would have no problem going here again, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way.

Overpriced Mexican food. I got the enchiladas trio and the queso (which tastes a lot like melted butter, nothing but melted cheese). I also got food poisoning. I definitely will not return.

I know I've heard bad things about this place, both off and online, but I actually liked it.  I actually was going to eat at Cheddars.  Mainly because I was visiting my parents and we wanted to go see the trail of lights and needed someplace close, with relatively quick service that wasn't fast food, and most importantly, someplace we couldn't eat at in Houston.  Well, Cheddars was packed, something I should have guessed.  We saw this place next door and decided to try it.

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised.  The food was good.  Both my husband and I really liked our meals.  They also had some very good queso, though the flavor was a bit odd.  I wouldn't go so far as to say this is my favorite tex-mex restaurant, but I definitely want to go back next time I'm in Austin.

The service was great.  They were apparently training a new cook so things were unusually slow that night.  At least that is what they said, but I didn't think it took that long for the food to come out.  The waiter was by every 5-10 minutes or so to make sure everything was ok and refill chips and drinks.  That probably helped.

As for the food price, maybe Austinites are used to lower prices.  Everything was cheaper than most restaurants in Houston.  I was thrilled to see the prices.  I didn't think the prices were that bad, but then again, I'm used to paying $9 for an entree.  I'm even used to paying close to $9 for a bowl of queso.  (Curse you Ninfas!)

Thing to note: this was at night, so I don't know about their lunch menu.

I guess everybody has their own unique tastes.....but one of your favorite Mexican Restaurants??....wow...you need to go out more.

This place is WAY, WAY, WAY over priced for the quality of food you get.  (Lunch specials for $8 - $9??!)  The salsa is mediocre at best....the food took a LONG time to get with the restaurant only moderately crowded, and it was nothing special.

It's definitely NOT my favorite Mexican Restaurants....but even Taco Cabana is a good as this place and a LOT cheaper!

If they would cut their prices (Posados) by half....this place MIGHT be worth going to.

This place is horrible. The kind of people who love this place are people who have never been out of Pflugerville (and frequent Cheddar's). This is suburbia tex-mex. If you love dining at chain restaurants that try to cater to such a large crowd that everything is bland beyond belief, this is your place. I agree with the another reviewer "Taco Cabana is a good as this place" but the food at TC is more exciting.

OK, have you ever pulled up to a restaurant and knew that what was on the inside was not goodness.  Posados did that for me.  All that glowy neon and shimmer should serve as a warning sign, instead it acted like a bug zapper, pulling me and mine in.  Normally I don't do interior design in my reviews but this place deserves it.  Corona chandeliers, tacky Mexican flags, banners, streamers, and such were strewn about in a not so eye pleasing manner.  So, lets get to food, chips and salsa, fresh chips, but the salsa.. meh, Pace has more spice and flavor.  Entrees, I ordered a chimichanga, hard taco, and beef tamale plate.  The food was dull, no spice, amazingly, boringly safe Americanized Tex Mex.  Yes, if such a cuisine exists this place epitomizes it American Tex Mex.  Prime example, my partner's chili relleno, stuffed with chicken chunks, and covered in what was more akin to white gravy than cheese or even cheese sauce.  My hard taco, ground beef, again spiced but not spicy in the least, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato.  Not at all close to what I've come to expect as TexMex.  Ahh, and here's the one two punch, puffy tacos, not as dessert, also known as sopapillas, but as a main menu item filled with beef.  Finally for your convenience on the table, squeeze margarine and honey to round out the Americanization, cause you can't have sopapillas without squeeze margarine and honey!  I can't emphasize this enough, don't bother, go find better TexMex.  This is a good place to take your kids when they want something besides hamburgers and chicken nuggets, aside from that, no Texan or Mexican should stop in as you'll be sorely disappointed.

Oh and to T.C. you're dead on, when me and mine left we said "God we should have gone to Taco Cabana instead."

This Mexican restaurant serves free, fresh sopapillas after your meal along with free, unlimited ice cream. The food was okay; it was edible, but the sopapillas (accompanied with butter and honey, which is conveniently located on the table) and ice cream were good enough to make me want to come back.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants.  The service is great, the managers are always friendly, the chips and hot sauce is very tasty, and of course I think the food is good. . . . . . not to mention the sopapillas.  I will definitely go back.
