Oh, I love the Wednesday market!

It is approximately twice the size of the Thursday Ecotrust market and is perfect for lunch, but you can still buy lots of fresh produce.

My favorite is to grab one of those Italian sausages with onions and peppers. Yum! You can also buy them on Saturday, but the line is never as long here!

A farmers market within walking distance of work.  I love it.

I'm a fan purely for the pita sandwiches.  They're just that good.  A fresh pita stuffed with a mixed salad with wheat berries [and even better when they have asparagus] and chickpeas, smothered in tahini and/or chili sauce for $6!  This is a whole pita folks, not just a half.  You can add mushrooms, lamb, or goat cheese for extra, but I have yet to indulge.  Besides, you can only cram so much into that tasty pita.

Downfalls of said pita are that a) there really isn't a whole lot of spot to sit and eat, b) since there isn't a ton of space my odds of wearing this pita has went up 100x,  and c) flour from the pita is an absolute nightmare to get off black slacks.

But enough about the pita.

There is really a slew of tasty treats to be had within the park blocks, tantalizing smells and beautiful fruit and veggies and the rest of the farmer's market goodies.  It's overwhelming when you're starving for lunch as it is.

It's a great alternative to the rest of the lunch options downtown, just don't get there right at noon or expect a line at any of the food vendors!

This is a cute little market.  Good mix of things.  Lots of stuff for lunch if you work in the area, and the park blocks are a nice place to sit.  This market has a cozy feel with a fountain and the trees all around you.
