Jamar was very thorough and knowledgeable. He explained each step that he was taking and ensured that we knew exactly what was going on. We will definitely be using them for all of our heating and cooling needs. I highly recommend Jamar!

If you need HVAC services, these are the people you call. Not only did we receive fast, and reliable service. Everyone is polite and our service man took the time to explain things to us. We will be utilizing this company again. I give them 5

So this is chicago right? Winters no joke blah blah blah. Well... it's late October and my hvac is acting like it forgot how to hvac. I call and this team gets me an appointment the very next day. Mike shows up and he's awesome. Mask on, little booties over the shoes, looks at the problem and fixes it. Quick, easy, and now my house works again. Mike even gave me a bunch of advice how to make sure stuff keeps workin, works better and ran me through how to use a new thermostat. Long story short, mike rules. If you're hvac is about to ruin your life call porterhouse, ask for mike.

Porterhouse Heating and Cooling
This would be my 2nd time using Shawn Porter for my HVAC needs.
They're very professional, prompt and they will even come early if it's convenient for the customer.
Shawn and his assistant Jamar really work well together as a team they installed my Ecobee and serviced my furnace.
They will explain and answer any questions you have with patience.It's not easy to fine great service these days, I'm in the service industry as well.
I am a Professional licensed Realtor I would recommend Shawn and his team each and every time for my friends,family and clients they're a 10 in my book.

I've used their services more than once each time they've helped me out I was more than satisfied and even when I've recommended them to friends and family they were also pleased today Jamarr came and pointed out the problem right away and replaced the motor and was in and out. And they have the best prices around

Shawn, Leroy and crew are great. Not only have they replaced out A/C unit, but they have cleaned our furnace and recently replaced 2 parts on our furnace to facilitate the A/C. They are very pleasant to work with and always have a smile. Leroy took the time to show us how to clean the flame sensor for each season change. Shawn is very responsive via phone and text! We will always use them for our HVAC needs.

This company is not efficient. I purchased an central air unit from the Company. I purchased the ac unit. July 17 2020. I had to pay half which was 1,300. The company came to install on July 18, 2020. I gave Shawn Porter another 1,300. Two hours. I called and talked to the secretary. Told her my house was not getting cold. She stated ok. I am so sorry. Everyone is gone for today. I will let the manger know. They will be at your house the first thing in the morning to make sure it is cold , cold. They returned and put Freon in a new unit. Hmm! I called about 4 hours later stating once again my house was not getting cold. I am very unhappy, I said, the company can come pick this up. Another secretary ,said Shawn will call you on Monday. I never received a call. I called Monday evening and another secretary which was the one, I spoke to before said , she never heard of the company uninstalling a unit. I have three working business days. I have been calling since day 1. That this unit was not working. She stated, I will call you back. She called back and we arranged a dated for pick up. I have called numerous time and my guy as well to ask for my refund. I will be charge a restocking fee of 300.00. Unbelievable. Restocking fee is not in their contract. Today is August 12, 2020. I have not yet to receive my 2600 dollars back. The owner Shawn never call to see what the problem was and still have my money and I have nothing. Did even return my old unit which was within three working business days. It was taken to dump yard very fast. Do not go with this company at all. They have robbed me. They are a no star.

My air conditioner was not cooling the house. I had Porterhouse come out. Leroy came. He looked at it. Told me the unit was old, there was a leak, the compressor was gone, and I need a new unit. The cost was 3600 dollars for a 2.5 ton. He said he'd do it for 3200. This was a lot to say the least. I began to do research and decided to call another company. They came out today. They told me there is nothing wrong with the compressor! They put stop leak in the system. They said the coolant was low. He recharged the ac. It's working fine now. The cost? 250 dollars! Either they were incompetent or dishonest. Either way I won't be calling them again.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, My heater was broken and the technician Leroy was sent to my house and he was guided to the basement, he was left alone in the basement, once he left it crossed my mind to check my jewelry box and sure enough my ring was missing!!! Leroy stole my engagement ring of my vanity drawer, (I had just cleaned it a day before) he went through my jewelery box and ALL my drawers in the basement leaving his greased finger prints all over my stuff, when I contacted the owner Mr.Porter he said he asked the 'tech Leroy' and the 'tech' said he didn't take a ring. I Filed a police report and its now under investigation. I guess it's my fault for not staying with the tech while he's working. I never had to baby sit any other tech that did work on the house, nothing was ever missing before. This is a devastating time for my family and I. PLEASE BE CAREFUL if you hire this company, dishonest human beings, what else are these techs capable of? Horrible experience.
