Helen is the best hairdresser with two hands. Hands down, she is the most talented, friendly and gifted hair stylist in the vicinity. I love this place, everyone is very friendly and the coffee is robust! My hair always looks great afterwards and the wash is orgasmic. Try it!

I bought one of those package deals that includes 5 or 6 services from various companies. Pomp Salon was one of them included. I just went for the shampoo and styling offer and was pleasantly surprised. The salon is very inviting. My stylist was Miss Betty who is just wonderful. I told her they type of hair style I like and she actually improved on it. She also gave me some great tips on new hair care products, though they are a lot more expensive than the brands I previously used - 5 times the price for half the size, but the products work well. I think it's definitely worth the trip out to Santa Monica for a classy style haircut.
Luna is AAAAmazing. He really is a very, very talented stylist. He just did a cut and color, and it's the best haircut I've ever had! :)
Great stylists, beautiful location, reasonable prices. I've been to Pomp a couple times and each experience was great. The last two times, I had Miss Betty do my cut and style and she is wonderful. The last time I went, I got a cut and then I asked if Betty could do some curls because I was headed to a food/wine tasting event that evening. She happily complied with my request and I got lots of compliments. The salon is very clean and spacious, and they always offer you tea or water during your services. They have a large selection of Pureology products which I like along with makeup and accessories as well. You are right across the street from the ocean which is kinda neat, even if you can't see the water inside the salon. My only issue with Pomp is the lack of parking. You either have to get really lucky on Ocean Ave in front or use the valet parking under the building. The valet is free with validation but I just always hate the hassle of valet. Other than that, it's a great salon and you should definitely ask for Betty for a new, fun look!

Pomp Salon was founded by Lisa Dixon, a Santa Monica hair stylist for 20 years. Wanting to create an environment that appreciates each client that enters our salon. Pomp Salon is about the client...not the stylist. We pride ourselves on being up to date in the newest trends and styles, yet we keep the feeling in the salon relaxing and enjoyable without the attitude. We have stylists that are new to the business and stylists that have been doiong hair for more than 20 years. This gives you as our client the opportunity to choose the type of stylist and price range that fits your budget without giving up quality salon experience.

Lisa Dixon has been a stylist in Santa Monica for 20 years. She takes pride in the opportunity to care for clients as a stylist. As the owner, she leads the Pomp Salon team in her vision to create an environment that puts the client first. Pomp Salon was founded to give her an opportunity to share her passion for the salon industry. With ongoing education, she strives excellence in not only her technical skills as a hairdresser but also a business owner.
