Teeny-tiny bar on El Camino. Evidently it's been around for quite a while, and consequently the crowd here is a bit older than at similar joints in the area. I can imagine this place being quite nostalgic.

Probably the most striking thing about Point is that the tables and chairs are shaped like wooden stumps (and are about as comfortable). I don't remember much about the food. As for alcohol, you have your normal sojus, Korean beers, etc. etc...

I like this place, if only for the fact that it has been around along time.  I like the tree stump seats.  The patrons have change a bit over the years.  I still think it is a good place to sit and talk crap.  More cozy that some of the other Korean drinking places.  I like the fact that the tree stump furniture is hard and makes you to sit up straight.

Has more character than the other drinking places IMHO.

A decent place to stop in for some soju or beer. The menu is mostly in Korean, so you might want to ask for a little help. If you're intimidated by that, then you might not want to come in for the food because they have sketchy descriptions underneath the Korean text.

This is an older crowd. It's a lot quieter than V.I.P. which is only a several blocks down, but it's a good place to just sit down and talk about anything and everything.

Typical Korean drinking place with beer, soju, and mixed fruit soju.
They serve good snack/appetizer food. Great Tong Dak (fried chicken).
Staff is friendly.

This is the spot that my and my friends end up going to when we just want a chill place to grab some drinks and Korean fried chicken, without the pretentiousness, loud music, or annoying people. Not too big of a place, but it's usually not that crowded either. What I like about this place compared to say Rumors or Min Sok Chon down in SD is that their seating is not blocked off into stalls like a restaurant but rather it is open and you can see everyone in the bar at the same time. The tables and chairs are shaped like tree stumps too, unique and gets points in my book. The waitresses are friendly, and there's always some chill k-pop playing in the background, not that I particularly like k-pop but it just adds to the atmosphere. Korean places that play top 40 American hip hop just don't seem right to me. Standard beer and soju, good tong dak (fried chicken), and good mussel soup (hong hap tang), basically Korean drinking food essentials. And plus we got a free pitcher of OB lager when my friend and I went on our birthday. This is the type of place that I miss when I have to settle for MSC down in SD. Like Jerry said, this place just has a cozy feeling to it that I like. Come to this place to eat, drink and talk shit with your good homies. The only negative about this place is that I'm scared that I'll run into my dad here. haha

This is a Korean drinking hole that's the local favorite hangout of ah-juh-si's.  The decor is dark but relatively clean and the decor is made up of old movie posters and those famous plastic "stump" tables and chairs.  Yes, the tables and chairs are plastic tree stumps, big and small.  However, the toeng-dahk, Korean deep fried chicken, is pretty good here.  You don't get a lot of "service" (i.e. complimentary) appetizers like at some of the other Korean drinking holes like Rumors or VIP.  This place has been around a long, long time.  If you're guys looking to grab a simple beer and some peanuts along with some drinking food, then this place will work for you.
