Poinsett State Park is a small section of recreational land out Highway 261 between Wedgefield and Manning. Part of the Campbell Pond bike trail passes through Poinsett St Park (known, I think, as the Poinsett Connector) but most of it, along with Killer 3 and Hardcore, are set on surrounding Manchester State Forest.
A state park pass will grant access to either parcel. I don't believe there is any camping allowed.
There are equestrian trails in this area along with ATV trails. I believe the trailhead for each of them is the same place. -

As of January 2007, many South Carolina state parks now offer free access, including Poinsett. When you drive through the gate, there is a box for donations, which is optional, but no fee.
Poinsett is a small park, consisting of a small pond, a few cabins; and biking, hiking, and equestrian trails. There isn't a whole lot to see here, but biking is fun. A lookout pavillion sits a couple hundred feet above the treeline, offering a small view of Sumter County, I'm not really sure which direction you're facing here. This place isn't worth the trip from out of town, but good for locals to enjoy. -

Niceville, FL
Great hiking trails, horseback riding trails and a great place to have a picnic. There is a fee to park but it is worth the price. Climb to the top of the hill and you will have a beautiful view of the city wilderness. Be careful around the pond. Rumors have it that there is an alligator that lives in it. Bring bug spray and sun screen and keep an eye out on your kids. Restrooms are there but not the greatest.
