surprisingly, they got really good waffle fries! this is silly but i would totally go just for waffle fries~ a basket for $4 dollars.. not too bad. their wings looked mighty fine too! I wouldn't mind going there just to eat bar food haha
i was told by a friend that they have an all-you-can-eat wings and bowl special on weds, so you might want to check that out ... but yea the fries lid up my night esp with the huge crowd of rowdy teens -

Bowling in New Jersey in the afternoon is great for one's spirit. The entire place is empty except for you and a smattering of extreme elderly. Nobody will judge you if you were to, say, order the fried Party Combo and a handful of Mike's Hard Lime.
After bowling, take a walk through the Game Room and let the waves of nostalgia roll over you. The place is trapped in amber, each game as old as I am. Pop a token in the Simpson's arcade game. Pick up a mallet and bop that crazy alligator on his head. Collect your tickets and trade them in for a pocket comb or a Chinese finger trap or one of those sticky hands that feel like boogers.
Drive home through Haddonfield. It's Rockwell-esque visage will charm you. When you get back to Philadelphia, you'll be haunted by it all. -

My fondest memories of this place include going for elementary school and breathing in an air thick with cigarette smoke, old men sitting at the bar drinking their favorite brew in between games of pool.
This place has changed much since those days, as the rickety old computers that were less powerful then an iPad is today have been replaced by high tech graphics and futuristic looking ball returns. Sadly, the aura of the place has also changed. Call me old-fashioned, but a bowling alley will always smell of smoke for me, with strobe lights that cut through the visible layer of smoke that hangs just below the ceiling. -

If you get invited to a kid's birthday party here, they have a bar.

I've been going to Playdrome for over 10 years, but i haven't frequented the place in about a year. But i went last night and it was nostalgic! still pretty crowded considering it was a monday night! they had a great special (compared to years before). It was $12 per person all you can bowl, which included shoes. Along with that, $2 you call it drinks and $2 domestic beers (or $4 imports). this is steal considering I use to spend at least $20 to bowl a few games a few years ago.
its no where as crowded as it was 5-8 years ago (2-3 hour waits on friday/saturdays). And i think they changed the hours. It closes earlier than it did years ago.
the bathrooms are renovated and the arcade area is much larger---mainly because the pool hall doesn't have as much action as it use to.
there are still the familiar faces that work the bar and counter. nice and clean place, smoking outside only, big parking lot. and yes, you need 2-3 IDs for alcohol. I totally understand though, underage drinking is a huge problem!
great place to bowl! -

I've been bowling all my life. The playdrome in Cherry hill have some of the finest lanes I've played on (WHEN they are well oiled). It has all the latest amenities that you would expect for a bowling alley (video games, bar, late night laser bowling) and it doesn't have that "run down" look a lot of alleys have. I deducted one star because of the policy they put in place several years ago regarding alcoholic beverages:
Make sure you bring 2-3 forms of ID to get one of those wrist straps. And one of those forms better be a license, passport or birth certificate. -

Went here for my niece's 15th birthday party. The center was clean and the service was friendly. Good beer prices at the bar. They offer the usual carnival type pizza and other noshables you would expect. The $5.00 hot dog was a little much and the men's room could have used a cleaning but overall the experince was good and I would go back.

Their prices are about the same to their competitors (Laurel Lanes). However, I think Playdrome is more upbeat and modern. They really do keep it nice, clean, and up-to-date. If you prefer nostagic 70's looking place, lol, this place is not for you. A bar and billiard tables, of course, too. Check out bunch of special rates on their website. Fridays and Saturdays, they have Future Bowl, where they have a DJ, black lights, strobe, and prizes. This is the best bowling alley that I have been to.

i have never bowled 5 games in my life for $9. this price also includes shoes. i don't know if the woman hooked us up, but their prices were very reasonable! but then again, this is cherry hill new jersey...no offense. i also had the opportunity to try their greasy, fried bar food and it was really good. you definitely have to try their mini corn dogs if you're a big corn dog fan like me because they were so good!
