This automotive service center located in Playa Del Rey was extremely packed, which is a good sign (especially since it is in a kind of hidden location). The service manager Andy was friendly and very courteous. He was very informative and helpful. You also felt like you were getting honest estimates without that pushy salesman stuff (I find the quick oil lube place EZ Lube is the worst when it comes to this--they are always pushing service you don't need and almost guilt-tripping you into doing it).
Service at Playa West Automotive is good and quick. This is definitely a place to visit if you are looking for a fair price and quality work for automotive service.
Andy and the guys are always great to work with and you feel like you're getting an honest people that care when you go there. The place is always packed though, so it's probably a good idea to make an appointment before you go. Oil changes might be different. I seriously dislike my Honda dealer [Airport Marina Honda] so taking my Civic here is always a welcome experience.
Excellent service and honest estimates. I've been servicing my car here ocassionaly for over 10 years and they've never let me down. Andy (owner) is very good and knowledgeable. This business has a "neighborhood" vibe to it that makes me want to support it. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that they're so successful that sometimes they're too busy to fix my car the same day.
