Of all the Mexican restaurants in the Puyallup area we've tried, Playa Azul is by far our favorite. The service is always great. Waiters and staff super friendly. The food is delicious and super fast. Great lunch specials and dinner prices are not abnormal.
This is our go to for Mexican Food. So good.

My girlfriend and I have always had good luck at this mexican joint, but no more. The enichiladas seemed like they were made of chicken, tortilla and about 2 cups of enchilada sauce. The hot sauce for the chips seemed like a really bad hot sauce from the store, chips seemed okay, not warm or salty though.
This was the last time I'll eat here. Too much money for a poor attempt at mexican food.

Ive been going to Playa Azul for over 10 years now.... this place has always been known for great service and great food.  The servers are very prompt and friendly.  Great margaritas and super fajitas.

Very good food - and good service! Although, I ordered a chicken enchilada and got a beef one :(   But it still tasted alright! We'll definitely go back!!

I don't think these reviewers ate at the same restaurant that I did. Taco Bell is better. What's with these Gringofied Mexican joints and their greasy, soupy taco meat. El Toro's the same way. The chicken and picadillo were OK, but everything else had absolutely no ZIP. The beans and rice were so bland, I had to soaked them in Tapatio. Don't believe the hype.
