Finally - a "non-chain" upscale choice for the north side of COS.
While the open seating area in the main dining room can be a bit loud when the place is full - it is a great place for a great meal. Solid choice for a business dinner - due to the variety of choices on the "fusion" menu.
Asian/Modern decor is very appealing as well! -

I don't want to be a hater, since everyone seems to rave about this place.
but maybe my dishes were just the wrong choices.
I went for a lunch with my mother. Had a potsticker appetizer. Good, but nothing special.
I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, came on what was apparently a hawaiian-style bun. Nothing special either
Mom had a lemongrass grilled chicken plate. Very bland.
The setting was nice, and the service was good. I've definitley had worse, but I wasn't dazzled. -

I had lunch at Plate and the food lives up to the extra fancy (pretentious?) decor. (At least mine did) I had a Kobe Burger with grilled onions and bacon. It was a pretty tasty burger. My wife had the fish tacos and didn't seem to have any complaints.
The waiter was very non-pressure, so we lingered for a few hours and I didn't feel like they were eager to get rid of me at all. The price seems fairly prohibitive to checking this place out all the time, but it seems to be a fairly nice place to take a date for a nice dinner. -

When Plate opened on the north side of Colorado Springs, just over a year ago now, it singlehandedly changed the face of dining out on this side of town. There was then and is now, nothing close. Expect perfect dishes, superbly prepared and beautifully presented in an atmosphere worthy of the finest restaurants in the LoDo section of Denver. And don't miss happy hour from 5-6 p.m. every day in the bar: half price bar food and $2 wine, beer, and well drinks. You can snag a gourmet dinner and two glasses of wine that should cost you $30 for under $10. Far and away my favorite restaurant on any side of this town.

What a fabulous restaurant! Mr. Walter hit another homerun with this great restaurant. If you have been to Walter's Bistro, you can not go wrong with the Plate. The Plate is not only spectacular in design and decoration, but also in it's food concept. I love how you can venture into different cuisines from all over the "world". The service is flawless you hardly notice that the servers are there. The Plate also provides awesome views of Pikes Peak!!!!

Menu quality can vary a bit but we've had some great dinners here. Great service, great bar (happy hour used to be truly cheap but it has gotten a bit pricier).
