Adam was great, he is the Mgr of the store.  I purchased about 10 tall plants with 10 huge pots and saucers and was blown away by the price, the quality and selection of indoor plants available.

I highly recommend!!!  This is the best place, Adam even hooked me up with a nice delivery person who can also pot the plants for you named Steve.

As I drive 680, through the beautiful Sunol grade...  I am constantly beckoned to by this place. I hear "visit us & make your yard beautiful" in my mind! So today, I did just that!

I drove out here, and I'm really happy I did. After hunting several hot spots for yard & patio pots - I finally made some purchases here. They have lots and lots of pots to choose from, all shapes and sizes. They weren't as plentiful on color options as some of the other places I visited, but the prices made up for the slimmer selection.

I was able to pick up a big fountain (see photo) for half price. It came with the pump & plug installed & just needed a ride home to become my own personal babbling brook!

I bought several pots as well. One of the cool things they have is the "Pottery Boneyard", where everything that has been damaged in some way (some you can't even find the problem) is there with steep discounts. Its like picking through treasure.

I am a picky shopper & very budget conscious - and I was able to pick up twice as much as I had anticipated.

If you make the trip, don't miss out on the Calaveras Nursery across the freeway - as it's a great place to fill the pots with something special at a great price.

I'm so glad I read Ivy's review, and made the trip!

Imagine me spinning around as if I was on a mountain in The Sound Of Music. Instead of being on a mountain I was in a yard full of wonderful, beautiful pottery, statues and fountains.

I was doing that in my head as I walked around here. I unfortunately couldn't get anything because I was in my company car and the giant turtle I wanted really wouldn't have fit in my back seat or trunk for that matter.

When my truck gets fixed I am totally coming back. They have a sale on these pot like fountains for $100 with pump and everything. They come in all kinds of colors and their about 3 ft tall.

Everything is so affordable. I was worried that it wouldn't be in my budget this summer for new flowers or something fancy. Now I don't have to worry I can totally afford the things I want from here.

I don't even know what I want to buy first! I'm coming back you mark my words.

I am constantly driving past this place on hwy-680.  After seeing their sign bannered on the back of their facility reading "Orchids" where it's in clear view while you are driving, I took some time to visit this memorial day weekend.  This place is located right across from the golf course in Sunol.

Although they didn't carry a large variety of orchids, they did have very abundant moth orchids (phalaenopsis) for only $10 per pot.  These orchids had very large blooms and had 2 stems of flowers on them.  Certainly the best deal I have seen yet for moth orchids.

As far as the nursery section goes, there wasn't a huge selection, but the plants all looked healthy and taken care of.  Saw some geraniums, indoor ferns, birds of paradise, sago palms, indoor palms.

What makes this place different from your average garden center are the huge planter pots you can purchase at  amazing prices.  Saw some pottery planters for $29.95 with an additional 30% off this weekend.  I have shopped at Lowes before and  $29.95 would get me a plastic planter for the same size.   They have a large selection of pottery items.  I also took notice that they are also very generous, they have a stash of wicker baskets for free for their customers.  You can take one or all, however many you want to have.  They won't charge for it.

Sheesh, I've been to another nursery before and asked if they could sell me a small plastic pot, one that usually come with the plant since they would repot the plants into the larger pots and have no use for the small ones...they charged $1 for it.

As much as I have seen large pots that I would love to take home, there's no way I can fit it into a compact car.  If somehow I did manage to, I couldn't even carry it into my yard, hah.  Bring a friend and a truck, it'll be hard to pass up the great deals on the planters.

The owner (I think he was the owner), he was super welcoming and friendly.  As we were leaving he walked out of the store to find us going into our car and took notice that I didn't buy anything, he took the time to say "thanks for stopping by!".  No worries, I'll be back!

I drove from SF to visit Plant and Pottery Outlet in Sunol.  They have a great selection of pots and their prices are less than anywhere else I have visited.  The gentleman I dealt with was extremely nice and very helpful.  It was well worth the drive to visit this business.  I will absolutely visit them again!!

This is an awesome place to get pottery. This year I finally decided to ditch the cheapo plastic containers I grow my tomatoes in, but was horrified at the price of comparable size pots at nurseries or home improvement stores. I recalled seeing this place off the freeway (and lucky for me it's just about 15 minutes away). I was able to get a bunch of great terracotta pots for $30 each. I've since been back twice to purchase additional pots for flowers, etc.

Don't miss this place, the prices and selection are amazing!

Went here on Sunday and came home with 3 HUGE pots. They have a "pot graveyard" where they have heavily discounted damaged pots. Depending on the amount of damage, prices are reduced 10-90%. They also have discounted decorative garden sculptures and fountains. Their normal prices were pretty good to begin with. We just happened to find three pots that we had to have that were discounted 20, 30, and 50% off. The damaged ranged from small chips to a 3-5" hair line crack.

They have a pretty small plant selection, but it seemed like the prices were right...they also have discounted plants that need some TLC.

Okay, so here is the weird thing, one of the pots we bought when we took it home we found a Costco sticker with an item number and everything. We hypothesized how it might have gotten there. They can't be buying their pots from Costco...can they?

This past weekend I finally decided to drop by the Plant and Pottery outlet as I am always passing the sign on the Sunol grade.  I was so excited to see the prices because I had no idea they had such amazing deals on pottery! I am on a budget, yet I was still able to buy FIVE beautiful pots that go well together on my patio.  They sell massive pots for less than 100$. The same pots that I have seen in other garden centers for five times that amount.  This place serves as an overflow outlet for the larger business the property is on.  I found out the place is family owned and operated which I think is fantastic.
The only warning I would give is borrow a truck or rent one because you are going to want to bring home some pottery.

If you find what you want the prices are just the best.  I purchased 2 HUGE pots for over $200 each (would have been 4-500.00 elsewhere) as well as a great fountain for the front yard - they have a good selection of 2nd hand and slightly used fountains from small to huge - these are fountains that may have been floor models in the stores or have a slight defect - mine had a small chip in the corner of the concrete and only makes it look more beautiful and old in my eyes - paid under $200.00 for the fountain with pump that would have been 2x that.

In addition, they can refer you to a great handyman that brought over both huge pots and set-up the fountain for me.  His name is Steve, he works on weekends and has a lift on his truck - truly the nicest guy who had no problem setting up the fountain and pots in the rain!  He also gave me in advance the cost of delivery of each pot and the fountain and his communication on the day of delivery was excellent.

The outlet will also call you when they have a large shipment of fountains coming in as the larger fountains can go fast - so be sure to call them or when you are in give them your name and number to call...I am already on the "do call and tell me" list for the next shipment.

Like many others I had seen this place for years and one day at last stopped - it was worth it  :-)

My husband and I have seen this place off the highway for years.

We finally had a need for some nice pots for our Japanese Maples and had looked at a few places.  Then we remembered this place.

They have a really good selection plus the prices are really reasonable.  We had at least 3 pots that we really liked that we had to make a decision from.  We left there with two pots and when we got home it looked so good we called them back to see if they have a 3rd one like it (since we only saw two at the time).

We have been to a few other places before this and couldn't even come up with one pot that we liked - much less could we pay the outrageous prices.

So we were really happy with this place.

Guys do your homework before buying at this store. Reading the reviews here I drove all the way there to find out the same 27" inch pots selling for $49.99 at home depot are selling for $69.99 at the pottery outlet. The owner did confess that they cannot beat the big box stores on price. The selection is good in terms of shapes and colors, but if you are looking to buy a few of them, it is not worth the drive to spend more than your local stores.

I have been looking for a replacement for my beloved Norcal Pottery for quite awhile now. I am always on the lookout for a bargain. I have driven by this business a hundred times but never dropped by. Last week, while driving home from a round of golf at Wente Vineyards, I decided to take the plunge. Glad I did! The Plant and Pottery Outlet has a "scratch and dent" area, where there are some tremendous bargains. I picked up 5 very large decorative Terra cotta pots, normally $45-$50 at your Home Depot, for 80% off. I purchased five pots for less than I would have spent on one! Granted, they are slightly worn, but so am I....so I am not going to hold it against the pot...Maybe a little crack, chip, or dent, but in my mind...it gives them some character. For those of you who remember Norcal, this is the best substitute I have found in the immediate Bay area.....Go rescue these poor abused pots. They deserve a good home!

Picked up fountain for $99 which OSH sells for $289.  Picked up two very large pots @ $62 each which Home Depot lists at $160 each.  Needed to match the new pots to the color of my existing ones....they have huge inventory with all sizes and was able to find the match.  Same items lower price....this place is an intelligence test.
