Plan Concrete & Asphalt

We gave Joe a check for a deposit in mid-March. Understandably the weather delayed start, but we had to communicate with Joe as to when he thought the job would be done versus him calling us. Finally, he told my husband via text that he wouldn't do the job at all. I called him twice to have a conversation and he didn't not respond until I emailed him. This is the email conversation:

Joe,
I have no idea what happened. We were expecting to have the driveway done at the end of May , then June 1st , then 3rd week in June, then not at all? I am very confused how you do business. Just so you are aware, my husband and I put a trip to Europe on hold in order to do the much needed job of our driveway done. I work very hard as does my husband and were looking forward to getting this home improvement job done. We trusted you to do the job and immediately gave you the deposit. You had several months of holding on to the check and then abruptly postponed and canceled the job. I intend to put a review in multiple places regarding how you conduct your business.

His response:

Your correct, I called you to do it the first week we were out as promised. You guys stated you needed to be here while we completed the work. Then it got pushed back and I got a bunch of whining on why we couldn't come back out to Taylor to your schedule. Our season started 3 weeks late and we have had bad weather to start So things are going to be behind. And to be honest my gut tells me you guys were going to be problem customers. So I think it's best we part ways. Your husband stated he found a better bid and i should come by and check it out in a month. So why don't you just move on? Feel free to do whatever you want on social media, your threats only solidify my actions on not working for you. I will also counter punch anything you want to post about me. We dont need anymore keyboard warriors in the world.

I had a great experience with Joe Plan and his team! I was able to get a competitive quote and was placed on their schedule. The team removed my old drive and walk and had it framed up for the next day to pour. The crew arrived early the next morning and poured the concrete. They also fixed my issue with the slope of the driveway and now water will flow the proper direction. I have had a lot of comments from my neighbors that watched as the team work the concrete. They mentioned that they were very efficient and the group worked well together.

I do not want to forget that the lines that were cut in the concrete as they were exceptional. The lines were all straight and were clean cuts. This really touched off a great job!

We had very good experience with Plan Concrete in the summer of 2011.

We had some pretty bad sunken asphalt all along our 3 car garage due to settling and possibly some past drainage issues. Our house was built in 1999. In the summer of 2011, we called Plan to come out. They cut the asphalt all the way across, matching exactly to where our front sidewalk meets the driveway. They dug out the old asphalt, laid down wire and rebar, and poured the new concrete apron. They were quick, careful and professional the whole way through.

I purposely waited to submit my review to see if their work held up. It definitely did, and we're now on our second winter with the new, great looking apron. I should mention we received quotes from two other local companies and Plan beat them both by a lot. If we ever decide to do the whole driveway, we'll call these guys.

After numerous price requests from contractors, I hired Plan Concrete to remove my old asphalt driveway and replace it with concrete. Their pricing was very competitive, as well as offering consideration of proper drainage and other amenities. The quality of their workmanship was excellent, and they completed the job in an exceptionally timely manner.
