Pshhh, Turkey.
I also signed up for Yelp only to write this review.
I love PizzaWings. Granted, I have yet to try the pizza but the wings alone are worth a return trip. Tonight I had the hottest wing sauce they offer, 'Satan' on my order. It was absolutely hands-down the best sauce I have had in years. High in Scovilles, low in price. That's the name of the game.
PizzaWings is HQ worthy.
P.S.
Bro #1: Dude, $4.20 for two huge slices and a soda?
Bro #2: Yeah bro!
Bro #1: $6 for all you can eat pzz on Mondays?
Bro #2: Killer dude! ... and I hear they got that Calzapone, half pizza half calzone!

I'm updating my review due to an experience I had there recently. They apparently ran out of chicken wings, which is no big deal. What is a big deal is that they substutited them with 'boneless wings', and didn't even bother to call and tell me about it, thinking that I wouldn't care. Oh wow, were they wrong. I'm insulted.
Boneless wings come from an entirely different part of the chicken, and have absolutely nothing to do with chicken wings save for having the word 'wings' in their title. A piece of breast or rib meat that's been breaded and had Buffalo sauce thrown on does not a wing make.
I don't care that they ran out. I care that they substituted and didn't even bother to call so that by the time the 'wings' arrived, it was too late to call someone else for delivery, and they didn't even bother to offer me a refund or fix the situation. I'm not someone that feels entitled to many things, but as someone who lives for his wings, this was a complete insult.
I called them report the issue, expecting them to tell me they'd fix the order and re-deliver. They placed me on hold, then came back to tell me that they got my order correctly, but that they were out of wings and they substutited with that other food (a plate of overly-dry 'boneless' chicken parts that I wouldn't eat if you paid me to.)
Furthermore, they need to take the word 'wings' off of their business name if they really cannot keep enough wings in stock to feed their customers. I think this is the first time in the over eight years I've lived in Boston that I have heard a restaurant with the NAME OF THE FOOD in it's title run out of said food.
I'm sure I'll order from them again, as their Buffalo sauce is really good, and so is their pizza. I just feel the need to let fellow Yelpers know about this experience. I'm not suggesting to anyone that they do not order from there, but I'd urge caution when ordering through Foodler or otherwise not speaking directly to someone there and confirming that you are, in fact, paying for what you ordered and not something else.Listed in: Best Chicken Wings

So... I'm the first review.
I call during the first quarter of game 7 Celtics Hawks. The guy rudely puts me on hold for like 5 minutes. Then comes back and tells me (not asks) that he's putting me on hold longer.
He comes back, asks for the order. I give it to him. Give him the address, I then tell him paying by credit card. He then tells me he will call me back to get the card info.
After 5 minutes no call. I get sketched out after the 5 sketchy things that already went down I decide I want to cancel.
I call up to cancel. Get put on hold another 5 minutes.
I call back, guy doesn't put me on hold. I tell him I want to cancel the order. He then doesn't say anything.. and he hangs up on me.
I call back to make sure he got the cancellation... and they simply pick the phone up and hang it up again.
If I could give this place minus stars i would.
I'm honestly glad I cancelled before I gave this dude my card info.
Do not order from this place. -

Wow! I'm a self-proclaimed pizza snob from New York, and this place really surpised me. If you're looking for legit Italian pizza, there are better places, but if you just want a good slice, try PizzaWings!
I got a large cheese pie with garlic for about $10. Many pizza places are raising prices and thinning their crusts because of the "global dough crisis" but not these guys. The crust was soft, tasty, and especially thick at the top. The cheese had flavor but didn't taste too fatty. Most places in Boston don't use enough sauce, and while Pizzawings' sauce was a little light for my liking, I could still taste it...and it was good.
Everything was really fresh and the pie LOOKED good. The cheese didn't slide off, and it had excellent re-heat value. The delivery guy was on time. PizzaWings is definitely my new default pizza place, and I highly recommend it. -

Dude! It's called PizzaWings! My favorite foods squashed into one place?
The pizza is actually decent- probably the best in the central Allston area. The wings are wings- average quality, but the selection of sauces gives them the edge.
Recommendation to the spicy bbq, and medium buffalo gives the right amount of heat.
My friend ordered a calzone and it was friggin' huge for $10, like a full size pizza wrapped over- enough to feed you for a week!Comment from Scott G. of PizzaWings 7/22/2009

I stand corrected. You were closed down because I am ashamed to say that my beloved Allston has let you down. Why??? I bemoan the fact that I'm stuck with Dominos. I shake my angry fist at the injustice of it all.

I'm surprised by all the low reviews here, but it seems like they are mostly service related. I order via foodler and our food always comes reasonably quickly with no problems.
This is some of the better pizza and wings I've found in the area. The pizza was good, and had a big puffy crust that I like. The boneless and bone-in wings are both very good also, they are not overcooked (as they tend to be elsewhere) and the buffalo sauce is great. The fries, however, were pretty bad. They were small and soggy, and it was obvious the oil they were fried in hadn't been changed in awhile because he fries taste like chicken.
Edit: I've knocked them down a star for lousy service the last two times I ordered. First they substituted bone-in wings for boneless wings (but charged for boneless, which cost more.) Then, I waited about an hour and a half for cold pizza and wings with the wrong sauce. Boo.
It's a shame, because the food can be good, but the service makes me not want to order from here anymore. -

this place closed because it was a pathetic, sorry joke. What a waste of rental space.
We attempted this place... and ONLY once.
My boyfriend wanted wings. THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY! What sort of wing places doesn't have wings.
He got tenders.... and wasn't happy about it.
While we were in there (it was about 562352 degrees) The "owner" who was a 20 something year old "thug" complained how he hated that place, hated owning it, hated running it, hated the customers etc. He wasn't talking to us, but a coworker and we were right there and could obviously hear him.
This guy felt as though he was to good to be "making wings". Then why did you open it in the first place?! Go open your thug hat place like you wanted to.
I don't care if this place is gone, I'm GLAD it is, but I had to write up about how terrible it was.
A wing place with out wings?

Last week I tried to order delivery from Pizzawings. Their name suggests that they have Pizza AND wings. This was completely false, I tried to order regular Wings and the lady told me to hold on a second. She then came back on the phone and told me that they did not have wings today. I was pretty confused since it IS part of their name. So I ordered boneless wings (Which they did have) and rib wings. 5 minutes later they called me back and said they did not have rib wings, so I just ordered a larger size boneless wings and fries. The Fries were small, soggy and pretty bad. The boneless wings were pretty good, but through all that trouble it was not worth it....

I signed up for Yelp only to write this review. I have now ordered 3 times from PizzaWings in the last three weeks. This is, bar none, the best pizza in Boston. I am only a little embarrassed to admit that this pizza makes me say "oh my god" OUT LOUD TO MYSELF while shaking my head and making little "mmm mmm" noises. I got the pesto/tomato pizza with fresh garlic last night - unreal. I have lived here for 10 years and was wholly convinced that Boston was entirely bereft of decent pizza. I am SO pleased to be proven wrong, and right in my own beloved town of Allston. Also the boneless wings kick ass. I hope they never branch out to an enormous sub menu -- they are pizza specialists.

I will start by saying that the WINGS are indeed REALLY GOOD. If this review were based soley on the wings they would get 4 stars easy.
however i have eaten here a few times now and i have the following comments:
the french fries were wimpy and soggy (I honestly think that they were from a frozen bag). three of us ordered from there and we all agreed that they tasted like school lunch fries
Mozerella sticks - floppy and not so great. I like mozzerella sticks to have some texture to them and to keep their shape. When you bite into them the outer crust should crunch. These were a mess.
Jalapeño poppers - just not my thing. Again like the aforementioned sticks they were soggy and the cheese reminded me of cheese wiz
to top it off the prices on the wing dinners just went upComment from Scott G. of PizzaWings 7/29/2009

Got it delivered. Took a while, but saved on gas going to get it myself. Worth the wait. GREAT PIZZA!!! Crust is awesome, toppings were fresh too. Bet it's even better if you eat it there. Totally my new "go to" place for pizza delivered.

PizzaWings says it all. Pizza, wings, what else are you looking for? I got a Buffalo Chicken Pizza and i have to say; it was stellar. Why are people complaining about them not carrying turkey? Go to Subway if you want that shizznit, its all about the pizza+wings (go figure). All you can eat pizza on Mondays for like $6. Totally there bra'. It's rad.

I ordered delivery from this place and was extremely unimpressed. The pizza was greasy and soggy. It took an hour and a half, when they claimed 45 minutes. With so many options around here for pizza, I would not bother with this place again.

I stopped in here quick for two slices of cheese pizza and a coke while waiting for my band to play down the street. They were quick and the pizza was good. I have no complaints and would go back for pizza again if i am in the area. I am curious though about the plethora of chicken wing sauces...now those sound appealing to me...

hands down best pizza in allston. its strength: balance. dough is a good, soft consistency, sauce is tangy but not overwhelming, cheese is a good amount, not too greasy and tasty, and topics are fresh. great chicken parm and the wings are also very decent.
if you get pizza, be sure to ask for the "special sauce" on the side to dip your crust into. you won't regret it.
their plain pizzas are fantastic, and so are their special pizzas. when i called up their old number and another pizza place answered i almost cried. good to know they're still open...
guy who complained about the lack of turkey sub - that's a stupid thing to complain about, and there's no way to tell that response is actually from the owner of the place. just sack up and try their pizza already.Comment from Scott G. of PizzaWings 7/22/2009
