This is definitely a concept place. It's not just about the organic thing, but they're going on the healthy side of pizza and with a lot of variety in the veggie department. For example, they have enough types of mushroom to make a specialty pizza just of that and it doesn't even include their crimini mushrooms.

I don't buy organic. I'm not a vegetarian. I have no idea why the weird green tea diet energy drink I bought here is claiming that the liquid is conscious and respectful of the environment or whatever. That doesn't change that this is the best-tasting pizza in Thousand Oaks and the surrounding area, possibly excluding Stuft which is sort of cheating by going down the heart attack route.

The flatbread crust is very well-crafted, and the cheese is similarly very high-quality. The toppings are high quality material, and never seem sickly or wilted. The salad, on the other hand, tastes kind of like any other salad, and I really don't know what I was thinking with the energy drink thing, which tasted like drinking a batch of nothing. All the drinks -- maybe not the bottled water -- were some brand called Steaz that I'd never seen before, but they had a good variety of types, bottled and on ice.

I wish I hadn't already eaten before coming here. I ate a slice of pizza then wanted to eat more, but didn't want to get all tubby, which freaked out the manager who came outside to check if I kept staring at the pizza because something was wrong with it.

Eat great pizza... check. Squander liquid with humanoid compassion qualities on filling stomach... check. Make manager paranoid by eating multiple dinners... check. This was a busy evening, apparently.

The good: Food was pretty good. The pizza is very unique and flavorful. We got some spicy pizza with jalapenos and pepperoni and the white pizza. I only ate the spicy pizza and enjoyed it.

The bad: The prices were expensive. Yes, we got the gluten free stuff because we had to. Still, though, I feel bad for all the people who have to pay an arm and a leg to eat. We also got a greek arugula salad which was so-so at best. Maybe they were trying to do the healthy thing, but the vinaigrette lacked flavor.

The ugly: On our White pizza, we also got a surprise. Apparently, the gluten free dough is packaged with the de-oxygenation packets (you know, the little packets you find in dry foods that say: DO NOT EAT). Well we found one underneath the last slice of pizza... cooked.... and sliced open from the cutting of the pizza. I'm pretty sure some of it got into the pizza. I don't think it was enough to do anything, but still, that's pretty careless.

The redemption: We told the manager about it and she was super gracious. She gave us an option of a refund or a gift certificate and told us she would call to inform us how dangerous that stuff was. Now that is really good customer service. I give them props and half a star for that.

PizzaSalad = Food is meh, customer service is excellent

Went here for lunch today for the first time. I'm definitely a fan of their vegan cheese pizza! A little pricey, but everything is certified organic - even the cleaning solutions they use! Definitely going to try the salads next time.

With a name like "Pizza Salad" it leaves little to no room for confusion about what's on the menu:

Pizza!
Salad!

What you might not be aware of, is the fact that they are one of few certified organic restaurants, so you know you're eating actual organic ingredients and not reject pesticide laden produce that was grown in soil fertilized with human feces. Okay that was just gross of me to even articulate.

Anyhoo, I had the small hi-protein salad ($7 & change). It had fresh spinach, broccolli, hummus, cottage cheese, tofu and chicken breast tossed in honey mustard dressing. My only gripe is that it doesn't come with a bread roll unless you get the large or family size. Boo. It was definitely tasty and satisfying. I felt like one healthy mutha afterwards.

They're located in a non-descript center next to Tango & Tango salon. When I went there was plenty of parking on the street right in front.

They get my daps for showing love to the environment through things like biodegradable corn based containers, recycling bins, and sustainable materials in their store build out.

I somehow happened across PizzaSalad here on Yelp about 6 months ago but it wasn't until this past weekend that I had the chance to try it for myself. I live in the IE but made the visit while in town for the weekend.

I ordered the Cheese Lover's Pizza and substituted the Garlic & Extra Virgin Olive Oil sauce. It was YUMMY!! Seriously good.

My friends ordered the Zest and the Mushroom Medley. Both said their pizza was excellent!

The wheat crust was thin but not tough. It was fluffy, if a thin crust can be fluffy.

For only $1 extra I got a soft drink...and they have PEPSI!! I love pepsi.

The pricing, I thought, was competitive with most sit down restaurants and it's a heck of a lot healthier for you and the environment! Bj's & CPK have pizzas more expensive than PizzaSalad and PizzaSalad is a lot quieter and friendly setting. When I asked them to take a picture of me & my friends, they gladly obliged!! In fact, they suggest a place for us to stand so a better shot could be had!!!

I would highly recommend PizzaSalad if you're looking for a new place to try out!

It will cost more than your normal pizza and salad but it's so worth the money.  You can make your own pizza with stuff like hummus, heart of palm, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives...the list just goes on and on.  The pizza crust comes in wheat or gluten free and they also offer vegan, dairy free and egg free items.  Health freaks and allergic people rejoice - there is salvation for you on TO Blvd.  They also serve desserts here.
