I hate spinach and I hate blue cheese but damn, the spinach and blue cheese pizza from rustica is out of control! It may have been that my girlfriend fed it to me after a late nite when we first got together that got me hooked, but really, you MUST try it.
This little pizza place is just a few doors down from Score on Lincoln Road and perfect for a post-drunkenness, pre driving treat! Check it out!
I love pizza rustica. Seriously, i do. I just don't seem to ever have luck with this location. The pizza always tastes really doughy and no matter whether you get a plain cheese (no idea why you would) or have 10 toppings on your slice including shrimp and corn if that's your thing, it seems to tastes the same throughout. Not to mention the fact that I am a big fan of crispy corners which fail me and limply hang down when I pick up my little squares. The staff is always screaming when they speak to you because they figure you love trance music and that's all they ever play, and they play it loud enough for the outside seating customers to (not)enjoy. They didn't even have my pizza of choice (NY supreme $4.95) so I was extra bummed. Stick to the one on Washington, although it's smaller and you get to deal with more drunky south beachy club goers the pizza is tastier.

Rustica is the crowd favorite pizza place on Lincoln Road and it's easy to see why.
They have a lot of choices and good prices, plus you can pull up a chair and people watch while putting away the pizza and soda. The ease of service (no crazy long waits, no haughty attitude, or overpriced food) and long hours, plus pretty good pizza is what makes this place so popular.
If you're going with friends, send in two people max with the order and have all available eyes looking for soon to be vacated tables.
During South Beach Comedy Festival this place is also a prime viewing spot for free comedy shows.

I liked this place. They had a good selection of toppings and flavors. I especially liked the potato pizza and the veggie was also good. Extra points for the wheat dough that they used. We ordered from the group menu - I think it was about $38 for a HUGE pizza to feed 9 girls. Great deal. Friendly wait staff. Excellent. Cash only.

The slices are large and cheap. And its really one of the few places you can get to go on Lincoln.
The staff seems angry and stressed.
The pizza is okay...really salty!
This place is on the ritzy Lincoln street-- a good break from all the high end eateries around. All their pizza's looked good, so it was hard to decide what to get! I think a pizza slice (BIG) was about $4 or so and it was tasty and filling! The beer was $3-$4 or so. Not too bad. A good place to go if you're on a budget and want some good food!
While visiting Miami from CA with some friends, we were wandering Lincoln aimlessly searching for somewhere to grab a quick to-go sandwich ... which apparently doesn't exist on Lincoln, we were quick to find out.
We ended up in Pizza Rustica as a last resort and were all more than satisfied after scarfing our delicious warm pie in a record 15 seconds flat.
The only downside to the meal was that it was balls hot outside and sweating while you're eating pizza is not hot.
Great pizza and conveniently located right next to all the clubs...when you're done partying and you need that late night snack, there is no better place to go!

After clubbing at Score I was pretty hungry and was super excited to see that there was actually a pizza place open at 4:30 am! I had actually attempted to eat at the Pizza Rustica in Hollywood once before but they only accept cash and, as usual, I didn't have any (I generally use my debit) so I went elsewhere, but fortunately on this night I actually had cash on me!
So I went inside and of course there were several other drunk people there ordering their food. I waited patiently as the 3 girls behind the counter seemed to take a million years with each order. Half the time they were just standing there waiting for who knows what. Finally, it's my turn and the idiot girl goes to take these guys' orders before mine after I had obviously been standing there for like 10 minutes before they'd even walked into the place. Frustrated, I said something to some guy that mysteriously appeared behind the counter so he took my order (hey, don't mess with me when I'm tired, hungry and have been drinking).
The pizza was good and the prices are reasonable but because of the shitty service and the fact that they only take cash, they only get 2 stars from me.

Amazing! This is one of my favorite places in the world. I would come just to Miami to get some pizza. Before 11pm or so, you can order the huge pizza for under $20. After 11pm or whenever the drunks are out, the prices go up and are by slice only. Sober or drunk, I love this pizza. Excellent location right near Lincoln and all the bars.
Highly recommended!
Seriously people. I have been to many a pizza joints in my time and this place is awesome. Although Miami wasn't exactly my town (seriously Florida, why do you have to be so damned flat? Do you need god to make you some hills?) this was one of THE highlights of my whole trip.
It has several different types of pizza. I had the Chicken Parmesan pizza(fried chicken on a pizza, what more can you ask for?), and my friend had the Caprise which was equally as good.
It had a New York style pizza place atmosphere and they have seating outside along the famous Lincoln street. If you're in Miami I would suggest going here, because South Beach is the only place worthwhile to see.

Excellent gourmet pizza. Don't expect the New York style that is the SoBe standard. Lots of choices and speedy service.

Just having been down in miami all last week for WMC I made a point of stopping by Pizza Rustica. Hands down the best pizza in miami! The slices are huge - they cut each one into 6 small squares. My fav is the spicy sausage and the new york steak.
But everything Ive had there was banging. I got 2 slices - ate half for diner then came home at 6am from Shine and had a drunken meal waiting for me.
The absolute BEST gourmet pizza in Miami... Wow. We always try a new kind every time we go and share. If you can score a table outside, you get to people watch at the same time. Inside.. the seating is oh so uncomfortable.
Do try it if you have a hanker for some crazy (or traditional) pizza and you are in the SoBe area. Shrimp on pizza??? Yep! Salad on Pizza? Saves me the effort of shoveling the salad into my mouth with a fork while I eat my pizza.

Pizza Rustica is great for several reasons!
First, they're open super late night. So when you are getting out of the club at 4am and you need to sober up for your drive home, you can always count on Pizza Rustica. Plus, they have 2 locations on Washington - 8th and 14th, and one location on Lincoln in between Meridian and Pennsylvania. So wherever you are on the beach, you can have Pizza Rustica!
Second, the pizza is delicious!!! I don't know what kind of style it is, but its more like a sicillian than anything else, because its that thick kind of pan pizza. My favorite is the 3 mushrooms, but the chicken florentine is superb! The veggie pizza is excellent, so is this one that has bleu cheese on it! Anything you try will delight your tastes! :)

This is some yummy pizza. I love it cause it's like your actually getting pizza in Rome! Though I have never been, i have seen the pics and it looks the same. Great place too from a night of partying in SoBe. I'm in Southern California, but I will make it a point to stop at the one in LA when I'm close by and in the mood for some great pizza!
OMG! The best pizza ever!!!! I can't go to Sobe without eating here . . . and it has gotten to the point when I've got slices to go to take on the plane ride back to Cali. Disgusting . . . I realize this . . . but it seriously is that good. Even some of my uber health conscious companions will cave in for this place and share a slice with me . . . muhaha ;)
And sharing a slice is soooo the way to go. The slices are ginormous: they cut them in to 6 or so smaller square slices and have to overlap 2 plates just to have room for the whole thing!! Craziness. The toppings are so great . .. . and random . . . you will see options including hard boiled eggs and corn . . . but it just all works so well. (Less adventurous diners fear not, they have the standard pepperoni type options as well.) Also an excellent value . . prob some of the cheapest yummy eats you'll find in the beach! When you walk in and gaze into the goodness in the glass cases go with what your heart tells you, order, they will pop it in the oven for a couple mins to get it just perfect and then either gouge perched at the counter if you find yourself on Washington (esp. via late night) or stroll outside and people watch if you're on Lincoln Road .. . . ahhhh . . . perfection.
Ooooh . . . and for you Cali-ians I just recently realized that LA has a Pizza Rustica within the same fam right on Susnet! I haven't tried it yet, but I intend to ;)

I like that you can get pizza by the slice and that they've got tons of unique slices already available just waiting to be reheated. For me, I can't have a full fledged dinner, then go drinking/clubing. It's gotta be moderate to a light meal before I go out, if anything at all. So a healthy sized slice of love from Rustica does the trick for me.

Pizza Rustica has several locaitons. The Miami Beach one often has late-night club goers--definitely perfect for a quick bite. The pizza focus is on the variety of "fancy" toppings. They call it Roman-style rectangular pan pizza. I think it's pretty good, inexpensive, and lives up to its many accolades.

Don't let the setup and the facade fool you, their pizza is delicious. When I first went inside, I thought it felt a bit overcrowded - and it looked old, but the pizzas looked good. I tried one, and I was hooked. It's not expensive and is just delicious. Worth every cent.

Lincoln rd Pizza Rustica = yummm. It doesn't matter if you're day-time pool side at the Delano or night-time stumbling back from Mansion, Pizza Rustica is the ish. I do the cheese, tomato, and basil or sausage - both are stellar. When you're looking for good pizza in south beach, this is your spot.

Best pizza - better than Chicago, SF, NYC and probably Italy. The atmosphere inside was very SoBe in a good way. A little kitchy, but again, in a good way.
Shrimp Pesto deep dish = $5
(tasty jumbo shrimp, not tasteless shrimp cocktail)
Getting to eat it every night for 2 weeks? = priceless
The service? Fantastic. One gal in particular - part of the family that ran the chain was always there so sincere and enthusiastic and not plastic or overly shiny/happy. Natural, normal, Cuban/SoBe culture poured out of her. She was talking of opening a store in San Francisco. We should only be so lucky to have them here.
We love Pizza Rustica, when we're down in south beach, we stop for a few slices to take home. We also like to sit outside the restaurant and people watch. another Pizza Rustica just opened in Downtown Hollywood, which is close to home. The restaurant itself is bigger and has more seating.
We love coming here for a quick bite to eat, the pizza is delicious and there is quite a selection. We love the barbecue chicken and new york steak, but alwayss try something new.

Pizza Rustica literally saved my life during the 2007 - WMC.
Decent pizza when you are starving to death from too much partying. Good range of toppings and it's quick......so you can get back to what's important.
DANCING!

Best Pizza Place Ever.
I'd take away a star for the fact there's no organization whatsoever to the service, but really, that's part of the charm.
So much fucking charm.

Yum! Great pizza, lots of different kinds, laid back outdoor seating and, as always on Lincoln Rd, the best people watching.
perfect post-clubbin' still buzzin' snack. get it "extra crispy" and get 'em to cut it into 6 slices to share with friends and try out all the combos! i'm not sure how tasty the pizzas would be during normal sober hours...
For $4.50 and $4.75, I had two slices of pizza - 1) funghi and 2) spinach with blue cheese) and they both were really good.
I can't really explain what type of pizza Rustica serves though - it's not New York style, it's not Chicago style, and it's not even Italian style. Not Egyptian, Brazilian, Colombian or Argentinian. Maybe it's just a new "original" and it is what is making Miami well known since in the pizza circles, Rustica is pretty well respected, especially now that they're going nationwide.
So for now, I'll just call it Miami style pizza - the dough is similar to focaccia in thickness and airiness. Toppings are plentiful and varied.
But other than that, I don't think it's the best. I don't think it is the cheapest either. I just give it props for giving good pizza a class of its own.
EDITED: Pizza connoisseurs have informed me that pizza rustica is in fact a type of pizza. "Pizza is cooked in long, rectangular baking pans and relatively thick (1-2 cm). The crust similar to that of an English muffin and mostly cooked in an electric oven." (Lazio-style Pizza (Rome), Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.or...)
RETURNED: The experience was mixed... they didn't warm up my pizza enough so some of the slices I had tasted a bit uncooked and cold. I dropped the rating from 4 to 3 stars. There's many pizza joints in Miami Beach and some of them wouldn't even hand out uncooked pizza. Apparently this place isn't very consistent.

Everyone should come here for a bite of pizza. This Lincoln Rd location offers a small amount of seating so be prepared to pounce when you see seating open outside. You know a place is good when they can make a cheese pizza taste DIVINE. But they also got the fancy toppings like basil, fresh mozzarella, shrimp, etc. on pizzas that are behind their counter glass.
Pizzas start around $3 a slice and are generous slices.
Bonus: thin-style pizza, good ingredients, variety of toppings, late-night hours.
Con: Cash only!
Great pizza that seems to taste better as the night goes on. After one particularly painful event next door at the tattoo/piercing parlor a slice from Pizza Rustica hit the spot and eased the pain.
For about $4, you get a plate sized square of pizza and in choices of just cheese to some great combinations like the olive combination to meat combinations to some really electic combinations. This pizza is great and not just because it's $4, but because it's outstanding with great toppings, quality of food and so forth --and it is about the cheapest thing you will find to eat in Miami Beach.
One interesting thing, there is no tomato sauce on the pizza. As much of a traditionalist about pizza as I am, I didn't miss the sauce, and neither will you.
humongous slice of pizza thats cut in 6 for 4.75
only problem is they take only cash, so be ready to pay the dollar bills upfront.
me and my sister basically lived off of this food (really the only dining place that's cheap around here).
i've tried bbq shrimp (pretty good), the one with spinach (all right), but my favorite was "rustica." i would definitely recommend you to try it!! they also have toppings with whole wheat crust for the health-conscious
My kind of pizza, kinda reminds me of Arizmendi in Oakland. A very large variety of different styles of pizza available in small slices or 'squares' four small slices together for about $4.00. Right on Lincoln Road, a few chairs out front and bottled beers make this is a great place to grab lunch and do some people watching.
Hands down, the most tasty flavorful pizza slice you'll ever have fo sho!
A nice place for a slice of pizza for lunch or after the movies.
Pizza Rustica rocks! Perfect for a good, quick lunch/ dinner and especially for after-the-party munchies. I'm from Miami Bch. and I come back here everytime I'm in town. My fav is NY Steak and Caprese
This place is Grub! 1-2 slices of pizzas is money.
