I can't stand not having a pi scuba to walk around and breath their food through. The atmosphere is much better with the new owners and they appreciate humor (they will still look at you directly in the eye like that other guy too).

The last time we ate out w/ a vegan friend of ours, we decided to try this place based on all the glowing yelp reviews.
I've never had vegan pizza before, so this may be as good as it gets.
However, as a regular pizza joint, this place falls flat.
I had very high hopes since you can easily make a delicious pizza loaded w/ veggies. Assuming there is an edible soy cheese substitute, I figured we were in for a good meal.
It was a big head w/ the vegan but a major bust for the rest of us. Dry crust w/ tepidly spiced ketchup for tomato sauce. Something that looked like cheese but tasted like paper towels.
Maybe we went on a bad night.
Maybe vegans shouldn't eat pizza.
Regardless, there are better places to eat on University Avenue.
If I'm in the mood for pizza I'll head to Serious Pie, Veraci, Flying Squirrel, Tutta Bella or Via Tribunali for the real thing.

I came here with my boyfriend last night after every place we wanted to eat at was closed (Chaco Canyon, Garam Masala, La Casa del Mojito). I was skeptical since I'm a big cheese person but hey, I thought, let's give it a try.
We ordered the Ricotta-Kalamita pizza (small) and a small organic vegan ginger ale. Mmm. The pizza was delicious, big enough for both of us to get full and for me to have lunch the next day, AND tasted like the real stuff from Tutta Bella. I wish the basil was fresh, but it was tasty nonetheless. The olives were delicious and the homemade cashew ricotta was lip-smacking tasty. As my boyfriend put it, "This is what crust ought to taste like." I couldn't agree more! I microwaved it for l lunch the next day and it still tasted as good as ever. I'm no deep-dish fan so the light, airy crust was oh-la-la.
Now this is my go-to place for pizza on the ave. I don't like meats on my pizza anyway so it works out perfectly. Sorry Tutta Bella, you're just too far away. Since I found this place my confusion as to why people order from Ragazzi or A Pizza Mart has tripled. Maybe they just like eating table grease for supper.

I ate here when I was in Seattle and loved the food -- I had a Vegan alfredo sauce pizza with spinach and faux meat. I haven't been there since the new management took over, but it sounds like it's better than before. ;)

The chef's salad is amazing. The BBQ chicken is totally delicious! I brought my mother in, and she thought it was very good. She said the chicken tastes almost close to the real thing!!
Plus they have Santa Cruz Organics soda, which the vanilla creme is the best!
This place is amazing. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a non vegan pizza place that has this many options. I can name maybe 4 different choices for sauce (marinara, white garlic, creamed sundried tomato, artichoke something) and some crazy toppings (like "chicken" strips in peanut sauce??) They also have a huge variety of dessert items which are quite decadent. Last time I got a turnover, it had little vegan white choc chips on it??? WOW! I've taken many non vegans here with no complaints at all, and mostly praise :) Atmosphere is a little funky. If i had a big party or a bigger house I'd probably mostly do takeout.
Some day I have to make a list of all options and enumerate them - there must be millions upon millions of different delicious combination. Go there now!
Been to Pizza Pi twice for takeout. First time I tried the Phoni-Pepperoni Pizza which had marinara sauce, "pepperoni", black olives, bell peppers and mushrooms. It was pretty good but I didn't like the faux pepperoni - it tasted plasticky. But then again, I'm not a big fan of fake meats (I do like braised seitan asian style). The crust is light and thin but crisp - they don't carry thick crust / deep dish types of pizzas.
Second time around I had the Field Roast Favorite pizza - white garlic sauce, field roast slices, fresh tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms. Yummy!!! I will definitely order the white sauce pizzas in the future - so tasty and not overbearing or heavy. The cheese they use is Teese brand - it actually melts, but I think Pizza Pi needs to broil the top of the pizza to melt the Teese cheese even more. For those vegan folks out there - this is truly vegan cheese ie none of the casein (milk protein) that so many 'vegetarian' cheeses have.
So my recommendation is to go for the white garlic sauce, and try not to order the pizzas that have a lot of fake meats in it. Stick with the fresh veggies and maybe one faux meat. My omnivore husband enjoys their pizzas! :)
I also tried the bruschetta that people have been raving about. They were right! Soooo good! Ripe fresh sliced cherry tomatoes in an herb marinade on top of garlic toast. Just don't kiss anyone after.
I live in California and have been seriously considering moving to Washington, and one of the main reasons is to be closer to Pizza Pi. I'm not vegan, I'm not even vegetarian, but this pizza is completely amazing. I still dream about their Thai pizza, in fact I tried to duplicate it when I got back home, and nothing comes close. Amazing, amazing, amazing place!
I'm not sure what the real kicker is: that the pizza's vegan, that the gluten-free crust is just as good, or that it's that good in general.
i like the garlic sauce. i wish they'd bottle and sell it. the marinara is no slouch but i can make better. i can also swear it to you that the pizza's vegan as i got a few test sticks from a blogger friend in hell-A and this place tests out clean. i'm not shocked, i just like being able to back it up!
the fakemeat is divine. i have not asked about the glutienious status of the fakemeat but i suspect it contains wheat; i know the Field Roast does.
i get calzones when i'm ordering for just me. it's a lotta food for less cash. the new owners are nice people and though there is occasional flakiness it's the lovable kind, not the annoying kind. they also know what has mushrooms (i'm horribly allergic) and they work right around this. The fakericotta tastes exactly like the real thing, don't miss it. i like the meatball sub too, but i jones for the calzones. Garlic, garlic sauce, field roast, peppers, onions, ricotta, american cheese. it's to die for.
If you haven't been here since it changed hands, try it again with the nice new people, by the way.
It's so expensive! I guess I'm a cheapskate, because it's the cost that prevents me from going to Pizza Pi ($5 for Little Caesar's large and $22 for Pizza Pi's large...). But WTF, who wants to support Little Caesar's!?! Pizza Pi is cool--they operate independently in high-rent Seattle and have expensive vegan ingredients, so the costs make sense. I'm just on a limited budget, and while I like their pizza, I don't love it. And the guy who used to work there seems really cranky; apparently he doesn't work there anymore, so that's a plus.
As a person who likes their pizza with medium-thick crust and easy on the toppings (besides meat) I think you can take a 4 star rating as a huge compliment coming from me. The pizza I just described as my favorite is exactly the opposite of what they serve at Pizza Pi: thin crust, no meat, and tons of vegetable toppings.
I was very pleasantly surprised how good it was. You can tell they use quality, fresh ingredients and put care into making their pizzas.
Definitely don't pass up the bruschetta appetizer, it was spot on delicious. I will upload photos of it soon, very tasty.
If you hear you're being dragged to Pizza Pi against your will by your vegean friends don't fear, it's very good pizza. Even if you're a meat and bread eater like me, you will still enjoy it.
Definitely worth checking out, vegan or not.

But what about those of us who enjoy a nicely grilled medium-rare New York strip? Being one of those people I can tell you Pizza Pi isn't any less enjoyable. Food is fantastic and something different. Hard to hate.
Put the macho diva attitude aside, quit acting like a priss and try something new. Lifestyle changes aren't required to eat here.
Amazing vegan pizza! Nice and quick service. The crust and the white sauce are divine! They can turn any pizza into a calzone.
Good vegan pizza. The bruschetta was very very good, with a unique twist. The bread was kind of like pizza bread which was really good.
We ordered two small pizza's... one was the Sunny Day pizza and another vegetarian pizza. I preferred the Sunny Day which had potatoes and ricotta cheese (made with tofu/cashews they said) and was pretty tasty and unique tasting. The vegetarian was good, but if you compare it to other traditional vegetarian pizza's, I don't think it stacks up.
For vegan pizza its very good. It's sort of a hidden gem.... though if going back I would stick to some of the more unique pizza's rather than the more common ones.
I'm sure that a lot of people who eat at pizza pi are gluten intolerant, lactose intolerant, or vegans. I'm none of the above, but I still thought my pizza was delicious. I ordered the Sunny Day - 'Sundried Tomato Cream Sauce, Spinach, Potatoes, Black Olives and Cashew Ricotta.'
People who can't eat cheese or don't want to are probably overjoyed about the availability of the vegan cheeses. If you can't imagine a pizza without cow's milk cheese, though, I wouldn't suggest you order one with soy cheese. It tends to be bland. Instead I'd recommend that you try one of their many creative alternative toppings like garlic sauce, peanut sauce, spinach & artichoke sauce, cashew sauce, etc. and expand your definition of pizza to be 'any delicious topping that's eaten on a pizza crust'.
The crust is perfect in both texture and taste. Some vegan/gluten free baked goods have a notably different taste or texture, but I doubt anyone would be able to tell the difference on this one.
The atmosphere is casual, laid back and bright with paintings by local artists for decor.
It is amazing that these are vegan. I fully expected some half-good fake cheese, but this is a real alternative, not a second choice.
I can't eat the real cheese, so it is wonderful to have the option of eating a pizza again.

Good lord, my heart flutters when I think about Pizza Pi. Here, on a blustery evening, you can settle into a warm corner with some friends and feast on a delicious 100% vegan pizza. It doesn't end with pizza, though. These folks get crazy with "cheezy bread," salads, VEGAN ROOT BEER FLOATS, and ever-expanding offerings you'd find at a non-veg pizza spot.
The list of toppings is long, ranging from more traditional pizza accoutrements to items that may tickle an adventurous eater. Your pizza experience is as good as your ability to coordinate your toppings, although they have a variety of creative combos predestined for your mouth. The garlic sauce is, dare I say, creamy. The garlic sauce didn't taste vegan at all - no lingering soy aftertaste, no heavy nutritional yeast flavor.
Pi serves up vegan cheese in the form of Teese brand "cheeze," which doesn't look like cow cheese, but tastes good enough to hit the dairy craving of most vegans. It doesn't look like melted mozzarella and won't fool a non-vegan, but it's a great offering from the cholesterol-free side of life.
Coming from the east coast, I find that pizza crust (vegan or not!) often doesn't measure up over on the left coast. Pizza Pi delivers, though. The crust is crisp, delicious, and folds over to protect your delicious toppings the way a pizza crust should.
If I could change one thing about my night at PIZZA PI, I would order the soda float without soy whipped topping. It's a nice gesture, but I really don't like the way it tastes. Otherwise, mangia, mangia.
Staff was wonderful and very nice, atmosphere was lovely and clean.
Pizza was so-so and cinnamon stix were a let down. I think if the crust was thicker and the cinnamon sticks weren't flat it would easily be 5 stars. I adore the concept of an all-vegan pizzeria but was disappointed with the cracker-thin crust. (Then again I'm sure people have different crust preferences)
First. I am not vegan but one of my closest friends is and I found this place while looking for restaurants that were A -OK for them as well as me. I have a lapband so generally pizza is a big no no for me as crust tends to be to doughy. But this crust was amazing...
We started with the artichoke heart and garlic dip and a few little grape tomatoes on top...Amazing and it came with gluten free bread which was had just a slight crisp to it that it worked super well for me. The taste was amazing. Very full flavored and delightful...I would be tempted just to go and get that!
We both got the mushroom pizza minus the olives. They gave us the option of adding something instead of the olives. My friend added broccoli and had regular crust and I added cooked onions with the gluten free crust as the cook said it was more crispy than the regular.
The broccoli was huge and green but didn't fit so well with the pizza according to my friend and she felt the onions fit better as I shared my because of my limited stomach space.
The only thing we both thought was rather than the sauce they used it sort of reminded us of mayo....we would have preferred the artichoke garlic dip as our sauce. In fact next time I think I might see if they will do that.
I had never had soy cheese and it was pretty tasty.
My friend had the concord grape soda which I stole a very small sip of (can't drink a whole can every) and it tasted delightful!
My only complaint is that almost all of there beverages were carbonated. So I had a choice of tea or water, which worked fine for me but it would have been delightful if they had some sort of juice.
We also found out that they recently took over Wayward Cafe...which I went to last year and had the worst meal of my life but if the pizza was this good then it might be worth trying out Wayward again because I had a delightful lunch/dinner with leftovers :)
Pizza Pi is owned by the same couple that owns Wayward Cafe, another Seattle vegan joint.
Pizza Pi lacks ambience, but the food here is very good. I had an "ex-meat lovers" 9-inch pizza with home-made cashew ricotta ($10) which was savory and had an excellent crust and sauce. I'd also never had vegan Canadian bacon before, which was a treat.
My friend's olive-lovers pizza was pretty good, though a bit too salty for me.
I especially like that Pizza Pi lets you choose between Teese, Vegan Rella or their home-made cashew cheese, as many people I know don't like soy/rice cheeses.
In terms of overall taste, I'm not sure I'd put Pizza Pi in the same quality category as Pizza Luce or Galactic Pizza (both in Minneapolis), but Pizza Pi is wholly vegan, whereas the others are not.
Next time I'm around I'll try a calzone and their garlic bread!
Yumm!!! Gluten Free Vegan Pizza is a dream come true for the girl with a million allergies. (that's me) Being a herbivore as well, this is definitely the place for me.
For the price, what you get is delicious. There are so many different flavors and sauces, many over-the-top amazing; never had one that is bad. They also have a lot of gluten free appetizer options, which i love. The artichoke dip and the bruschetta are both very good.
Some of my favorites are the pink lady and the Calamatta Ricotta, they are both never miss. I just want to clarify though, not all of their pizza is gluten free, like some of the reviews below indicate. You have to ask specifically for gluten free and their menu indicates what can be done as gluten free.
And, as one last note, the owners are amazing. They are so friendly, remember you and get to know you. Service has always been great.
A little more pricey than some vegan joints, but worth every penny and then some. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, the sauces are rich and savory, the toppings are always fresh and generously portioned, and the menu is vast -- try something new every time you go in, or pick a favourite treat.
I highly recommend their open-faced "No Meatball Sammich" - get it loaded with mushrooms, green peppers, olives and onions. It comes with a side salad and it's plenty of food for two. ;)
Their Thai chicken pizza is very generously heaped with toppings and the salty, creamy garlic sauce blends beautifully with the exotic sweet-and-spicy of the peanut sauce.
Their dessert pockets are tasty too; takes me right back to childhood mornings with cherry turnovers at breakfast.
Went here tonight and it was beautiful.
The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer was tasty, but the mini calzones (each with a different filling) were BOMB! Sunny Day pizza was quite good and had a very thick sauce.
The China Cola is a really strange tasting drink.
The two people on staff seemed nice. A friend of mine is a regular and it's nice to see that they remember him and remember previous conversations they'd had. I love it when employees of a place remember/recognize the regulars.
Last time we were able to entertain ourselves with magnet letters on the wall. Apparently people had written too many naughty things with those, though, so they're supposedly now only "available upon request."
One of my favorite things about this place is that you can bring a vegan and/or vegetarian friend and you can all share anything that's on the menu. It is a beautiful thing.
One of the best things about visiting Seattle was the number of vegan places, and the most outstanding place was Pizza Pi. Seven months later, the most vivid memory of my trip is still taking a bite out of the Pink Lady pizza and looking up at my friend, incredulously, who was looking at me the same way. Something about the pink sauce, the garlic, and the potatoes... magical. The BBQ chicken pizza was good too, but the Pink Lady really impressed me.
Finding a gluten and dairy free restaurant that serves savory food is not easy, especially on days where preparing food at home is not an option.
I'm delighted Pizza Pi exists.

Tried it finally for the first time on Sunday. I had just had almost 4 hours of tattoo work done and I was famished! Thankfully it was on my way home.
I had the bbq chicken with white sauce, and I took home an apple pie. WOW!! I am seriously in love. It is a long ride on the scooter from Beacon Hill, but WELL WORTH IT!!

My wife and I have been enjoying this place for over 3 years and 3 different owners. I think the current management has gotten it right - there's almost too many choices for the hungry vegan! Be sure to get plenty of garlic sauce for dipping; I could almost eat that stuff straight. I find the white sauce superior to the red for most pies, but they're both good.
The staff have always been friendly to us, and I've never had them screw up a take-out order. If they delivered, I'd be ordering every week. Heck, if I didn't have a job, I'd apply to be their driver!

After six weeks of living 3 blocks from Pizza Pi, my housemates and a few friends and I finally checked it out. I'm so disappointed that all this time we could have been getting vegan pizza ALL THE TIME. Especially those late drinking nights when we ordered greasy heart attack-inducing pizzas from Papa Johns and other surrounding places.
There were 7 of us, and we all got individual 9" pizzas (perfect for eating half right away, and half later).
As a plus, while we waited, we played with the magnetic letters they have in baskets on all the tables. The walls are magnetic, so you can write things out and such. We had way too much fun with this, but it was a great way to pass the time while waiting for 7 pizzas. Not that it even took that long.
I got black olives and chicken with marinara sauce. It was of the gods.
My friend got ham and pineapple. I don't even usually like Hawaiian pizza, but it was amazing.
My other friend got chicken with the white garlic sauce. It was heaven in my mouth.
I didn't get a chance to try my other friends' pizzas, but the boys devoured their entire pizzas in one sitting and loved every minute of it.
I highly recommend this place. I couldn't even tell that the ingredients were all 100% vegan.
Next time, I'm hitting up the cheese sticks.
I traveled 2,500 miles by plane (and then some), 10 miles by bus and 2 miles on foot to get to Pizza Pi.
Maybe that explains my relative disappointment. Don't get me wrong, this place isn't bad. It's a great option for vegans who just HAVE to have pizza!
It's just not that awesome overall.
My brother (vegan, and the reason I'd looked this place up originally) and I (vegetarian, but not a dairy-hound) ordered the cheesy bread to start.
I think that was my biggest disappointment. It was thin, floppy, and the cheesy topping was bland. It was honestly not anything to complain about to the employees, it just didn't have any of the fullness or chewiness I expect in this kind of product.
Our pizza had pineapple, sundried tomatoes, onions, white garlic sauce and spinach (the Rainy Day pizza). Maybe it was just that the ingredients weren't that tasty together, but it was a weird pie. The garlic sauce, tomatoes and pineapple particularly clashed. I think it would have been much better with marinara instead of the fakey-cream sauce. The spinach was sparse and barely noticeable. I'd have liked more of it. Once again, the crust was lackluster -- it was like a soft, thin bread more than a chewy or slightly crisp pizza crust.
Anyway, it was better than a Domino's or Papa John's, but it didn't feel like I was eating a PIZZA. And for the price, I could make a good vegan pie at home.
The atmosphere is basically not one. Relatively low-key, no real decor, get your own water from the jug up front. No door on the kitchen that I noticed, and employees were nice enough but unenthused -- they alternated between the kitchen and surfing the Internet on the laptop up front. Clientele was pretty typical of a vegan joint, skewing young and frizzy, us included.
I like a bare-bones pizza place, but this was truly sparse.
If I ever criss-cross the country again and find myself on this block, I'll come back. I'd try a more traditional-pizza-sounding pie next time.
Newly lactose intolerant, I've been struggling to find SOMETHING to satisfy my craving for pizza. At last I have found it!
The pizza was amazing! The crust was perfectly cooked and the garlic cream sauce tasted like CREAM sauce. I'd eat this even if I could have dairy!!
The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is that they don't seem to be consistent in when they open. Although their hours say 12, I went there recently around that time and they were still closed to my chagrin.
This place has given me something I have not had in my 16 years as a vegan, and that something is options.....options....options for something tastier than a salad and less froufrou than some sort of mushroom croquette thing.
So the choices are pizzas, calzones, appetizers galore, sandwiches that aren't of the hippy variety(though I really do love my alma mater The Evergreen State College), desserts like hot fruit pies, cinnamon sticks and big sundaes that don't skimp on the sauces and whip cream and even a freakin' cherry with peanuts sprinkled on top!!! For $3.50 no less!!! Not to mention beautiful salads that I eat because I want to not because I have to!!! Try the strawberry salad or chicken Caesar!!!! Give me a moment; I need to calm down a little bit...
You need to try the white garlic sauce, which is so sinfully delicious that I don't WANT to know what it is made of; all I know is that I am starting to gain a little bit of weight but I don't care because I've finally started to enjoy going out to eat again!
The prices make very happy too. Today we had a 9" pizza, breadsticks with extra sauce (around 8 sticks), cinnamon sticks (around 8 sticks), 2 drinks and he had a chocolate sundae for under $25.00. This place makes me feel like I get more than what I pay for every time. The ingredients taste fresh and the pizza combinations are awesome.
I like the fact that the walls are a pretty blue and also magnetic on one side, the place also feels very clean and inviting and the owners are genuinely friendly and seem to take pride in their store.
Pizza Pi needs to open up a second restaurant on Capitol Hill so I never have to leave it.
But...but...but....I...wha....I need protein and blood and death on my pizza. Where are the nitrates?!? I need more salt and preservatives because that's what I'm used to.
New things? BLAH! No thanks. I'm calling Pizza Hut because cheap = good to me.

Through multiple ownerships over the last few years, I keep coming back for more vegan calzones and the white garlic dipping sauce, occasionally hitting them up for one of the new sandwiches and salads. On a rare moment I might keep the owners who recognize me on their toes and opt for a pizza. I've been here for sole-client midday quickies (early on, it used to not open until 5pm for dinner-only hours), SRO-packed meetup lunches, dinners before taking in local shows, take-out vegan fare for nearby parties with carnivore friends, the works.
The decor is as sparse as other reviews make out, with fridge-magnet letter randomness on the side wall. In older times, the other wall (between the door and register) included snapshots of local patrons' pets, but this is gone recently, possibly to help make room for more table space.
Never disappointed in service or food, and with the addition of the new sandwiches, I'm likely to take my hour-plus multiple-bus trips more often.
Amazing - for a vegan who hasn't done the whole "pizza" experience in a while, rolling in somewhere where I could order a "meat-lovers" pizza and a coke seemed just TOO silly.
As others have said - the garlic sauce is where it's at, though I wasn't disappointed with the marinara either. Two small pizzas happily fed three of us. Watch out for the peanut butter & chocolate dessert pie - that thing is killer!
One suggestion: blue walls in a restaurant? There's pretty much no more unappetizing color. How about something warm? It was pretty quiet around opening, too - they told me they get busy after dark.
WONDERFUL!!! it's hard to find words to describe how good their pizza is. the ricotta-kalamata is heavenly. i'm from boston and i hope someday someone opens a place like this in my town, it's not fair that i have to come all the way to seattle to get pizza this good!
The white garlic sauce and spinach-artichoke dip are some of the best I've ever had, vegan or not--and that's saying a lot! My favorite pizza they serve is the Pink Lady (and, OK, I love to say "I'll have the Pink Lady" when I order--good times). Their menu is truly vast and they're more than willing to make changes based on your needs/jones/allergies, etc. It's going to take me forever to explore the full menu, and I'm looking forward to it.
I find it's always pretty warm in there during the fall/winter, so bring layers you can peel off. The decor is humble but playful, and there is a wall onto which you can stick magnetic letters. We have found it to be very child-friendly as well.
In the interest of full disclosure, I should say that I went to Pizza Pi several years ago when I was a new vegan and was not impressed by the fake cheese (not sure which kind they use), but I appreciate it a lot more now that I am a "seasoned" vegan and my taste buds have different expectations. (I don't expect or even WANT meat/dairy analogues to taste like the real thing.) Everything we've ordered has been fresh and delicious--the veggies, especially.
The staff is incredibly accommodating and warm. It feels fantastic to support a vegan business. Consider me a fan for life.
They solved a big problem: How can you make a vegan pizza taste good? I'm not vegan, but the girlfriend is and I'll gladly grab a pie from Pi.
I'll help you choose. Don't bother with any marinara sauce pies, stick to the pies with white garlic sauce. They're delicious.
The new owners take pride in expanding the menu (hooray for Caesar salads!) while still offering the basics people expect.
I like the calzones, pizzas, and cinnamon dessert.
While the decor is *much* better than before, I still wish it was a bit cozier.
Perhaps I'm a pizza snob but I've definitely had better. I grew up in chicago so I know good pizza but I also have a vegan gf so I also know something about good vegan pizza too as so far we had the best in Tucson of all places at Rocco's Little Chicago.
Now don't get me wrong, the pizza from here isn't so crappy you can't eat it or there's something disgusting about it. No, on the contrary, it's very fresh ingredients and not bad to the taste buds.
However, it doesn't look pleasing nor is it very flavorful. Perhaps the ingredients need to cut smaller or perhaps the dough needs to be in the oven longer or perhaps soy cheese. I dunno for sure what it is but it felt like a pizza my gf and I made at home---you know a lot of fun to make, tasty but not good enuf to start our own pizza parlor.
Maybe it's the gluten free dough but both her and I thought it was a little on the raw side. Anyhow, I disagree that the pizzas are pricey as I thought it was just right and the service was nice. The place isn't much to write about so I won't but I guess if you're hard up for a vegan pizza in the U-district, then this is probably you're only choice.
I debate between 4 and 5 stars....I would be satisfied with a 4.5 star rating methinks.
Ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and cheesesticks.
Okay so the cheesesticks are smothered in this cream-cheese looking concoction which is highly edible. It comes with marinara and white garlic sauce that tasted deceptively like ranch. The white garlic ranch-like sauce is the crowning achievement of this establishment. Their signature dish. I was so perplexed by it's flavor...no butter? no animal fat? no cheese!? What made it taste so delicious and fattening?! Was it carrot lard? Angelina Jolie sweat? Baby tears? WHAT IS IT?! I was walking the yellow line to the bathroom and saw an innocent employee pouring magic mystery white dipping sauce of earthly gods and quickly estimated how long it would take me to get out the door with it...but then realized I wouldn't be allowed back and I will for sure be going back. Ain't no holding me back from Pizza Pi, oh no.
The chicken on the BBQ chicken pizza was really good, though the rest was a little "meh" (perhaps I was still too seduced by magic white dipping sauce). Do they sell this stuff!?
Update the morning after: my intestines hate me. I don't know what happened, but I don't think they agree with my review. Also, I gained 6 pounds since dinner last night. I now firmly believe there was some evil veggie lard in that magic white sauce.
