Review from David Z.
Pizza Man is simply the best pizza you can find in Central Illinois. Every time I've been to Pana I am amazed that the Pizza Hut (which is just a few doors down) is still open. The Pizza Man parking lot will be totally full and bustling, while the Pizza Hut is seemingly empty. And rightfully so - Pizza Man rocks!
Most of the time we have done delivery or take out, and the pizza is fantastic. But if you're dining in, make sure you take a quarter and play the old-school baseball/pinball game. Even if you lose you still get a gumball, and if you win you might end up with two.
If you go in during lunch time you can get the lunch special, which is even good on weekends. The lunch special is a personal pizza, pop, and unlimited salad/soup/chili bar, for 7 bucks. The salad bar is actually pretty good too.
So if you are heading to Pana for the annual Labor Day parade, or if you are simply rolling through Pana en route to somewhere else, Pizza Man is a MUST. -

In a small town with a limited selection of eateries, Pizza Man stands out. Pizza Man serves Pizza, Pasta entrees, and toasted sandwiches. I had two of the sandwiches, and I was impressed by the freshness of the bread. What probably cost the fifth star was the baked lasagna. The sauce was over the top sweet and clearly not prepared on site. With that, I doubt the alfredo sauce is freshly prepared, either. It's a nice place with a friendly staff and a sure choice for a reasonably priced meal in Pana.

Pizza Man always a highlight of my visits from Los Angeles. They have amazing garlic cheese breadsticks, yes when you go you must try them. I like the thick crust pizza. I've visited several times and just realized they have manacotti still haven't tried it yet but will sometime if I can ever try something besides the garlic cheese breadsticks. They come with dipping choices and their ranch is AWESOME! I'm big on ranch and that is very important. It's a nice casual restaurant and fun for late nights too, keep in mind late night for small towns. They also have a salad bar and sandwiches too. It's worth the drive call first to check the hours.
