2 reviews for Pizza Italia
Pizza Italia was truly a neighborhood find. In a section of town that leaves a lot to be desired in terms of sit down restaurants , Pizza Italia is a winner.
The decor of pizza Italia is very basic and could use some updating. It's a very casual place and it also has a sports bar area that locals tend to frequent. The wings they serve are fried hard and are mighty tasty.
The real reason to go here is the pizza. The pizza is very good and they have an adundance of toppings and no one frowns when we order anchovy. The service can be hit or miss but most of the waitresses are older women so you get that warm old school service.
If you happen to crossing the Wilson Bridge and you just can't take it anymore just get off and go to Pizza Italia until traffic dies down.
The pizza looked good( not great) but I don't think I'd expect much after the Eggplant Parmigiano i had. It was like mush, I doubt it was freshly made, reminded me of some type of frozen dinner.
I think I will more than likely just run up the road for a barbeque(there's a good one at the car wash at Livingston and St Barnabas Road) the next time I'm in Oxon Hill at lunch time.
