i'm by no means the pizza hut advocate...but sometimes you've got a craving for cheap pizza to coat the belly for a night of heavy drinkin' after a night of drinkin'...as was the case today...

i actually went to pick the pizza up, so i can't comment on the delivery service...but we got two separate square pizzas in one box (panormous?) for $11.05...they were warm, decent in size, and were ready when i arrived...

it's no d'augustinos, but they did their job and held it down as far as a pizza hut express is concerned...now let's just see how well it stays down after tonights drinkin'...

I'm not a big fan of pizza chains, but Pizza Hut is one of the only chains I'll ever order from. However, this particular Pizza Hut is not worth it. The first time I ordered from this place everything was fine. Food got here quickly. Order was correct. Pizza was still warm. Ok.

The second time I ordered from here, two hours passed and there was no sign of the delivery person. In fact, I already forgot that I ordered a pizza and the only reason I remembered was that my stomach was threatening to implode. So I called them and they said the driver couldn't find my place. I asked why they just didn't call me, and they said they didn't have my number, which was a load of bull because I added it to the order. So the guy tells me that they don't send drivers out for a second time so he tells me I have to pick it up. I refused. Even though this place was down the street, they messed up and refused to fix the problem. Not only that, they weren't even being apologetic about it. The guy on the phone was being snotty and talking to me like I crapped in his oatmeal this morning.  So I told them to just cancel the order.

Some months later, I decide to give them a second chance. I was on a budget so I wanted something fast and cheap. So I call them up and they tell me they don't deliver to my zip code, even though I ONLY LIVE THREE BLOCKS AWAY! I know this is probalbly some kind of territorial issue with other franchises. But how much sense does that make?

If you live in Lincoln Square and you want cheap pizza, I would suggest paying a couple extra bucks for something worthwhile, like Villa May or Calo.

People, listen up: ALL of the bad reviews of this place are true. Do not order pizza from here. Unless you want it delivered over an hour late and cold. Really?!?! Is it that hard to deliver pizza on time? And when I called to check on the status of the order, i detected more than a hint of sarcasm from the male on the other end of the line. I thought I would give it a try since I was craving "fast food" pizza, but never again. Just say NO.

The most bizarre thing I have ever seen. The parking lot for this strip mall is a city pay lot.  If you don't notice (as I didn't) add $50 to the price of your carry out pizza.  Really, who checks for a pay station when going to a strip mall?

Open late (midnight) during the week - that alone gets it 4 stars in this city!

I was craving a slice of pizza tonite - a very rare event for me - and the Pizza Ria downtown on south State was swamped with college kids. So I hopped the train home to Lincoln Square, and headed over to Pizza Hut / Wing Street.

My personal pan pizza with bacon (duh!), sausage, and beef was yummy. Just big enough to satisfy my pizza lust, not big enough to feel guilty about going to a chain rather than a locally owned pizzeria.

My wings, the traditional "burnin' hot" or such, were tasty, meaty, and thankfully not breaded (4 stars for a fast food joint offering non-breaded wings!). The were more sour than hot by the time I got to the end of the pile - perhaps a smaller order would have maintained a better flavor. Next time, I'll likely try a milder sauce to see if it just tastes better. And add hot sauce at home if I need.

But this will just be one of my "ended up at" place in the neighborhood when my "go to" places have closed for the eve. But it is good to have a place that doesn't suck when you need to settle on what's open!

I ask you how smart your employees are?  My answer would be that they all have two brain cells; one for breathing and the other to handle the task at hand.  Apparently, two brain cells isn't enough to work at pizza hut...

Let me explain, I ordered off the computer, so there was no language barrier/noise interference or any other excuse for this royal mess up.  I ordered some wings, two different flavors and while the flavors were correct the wings were not.  The hot wings were breaded, I asked for non-breaded wings.  The parmesan cheese wings were boneless and breaded, I never would ask for that.  To top that off I ordered tuscani pasta and well, while it sucked major balls, the fine people of Pizza Hut forgot to include the breadsticks.  Well, by the time all this was discovered it was just too late to change anything, not to mention everyone was hungry.

Had the food actually been good I might not complain as much as I am right now, but the food was horrendous (as in I wouldn't even serve it to Bin Laden) and the order was wrong.  Never again will I give PH my money!

I wish I could give this Pizza Hut no stars. Let me start by saying that of course I wasn't expecting 5 star service... it IS just delivery pizza. But there's a certain level of courtesy and professionalism that should really come with any business.

My pizza came almost two hours after ordered (I was quoted 40 minutes online). The pizza was cold and when I said something about it, the pizza delivery man literally said "Oh well."

Finally, being a girl and home alone, there wasn't much I could do, but I tried to explain in my most patient tone that because the food was late, cold, and the delivery man refused to help find a remedy, he would be receiving a $1 tip. Cmon, that's still better then no tip. His response? "F*** you."

Never again.

I've only ordered pizza from here for work functions...ya know the day before Winter Break party for the kiddies, etc. I always order online a solid 3+ hours before I want it delivered since I'm ordering so many pizzas. The Pizza Mia pizzas are a steal...$6.99 for the first two then $5 for every pizza after that one. The delivery has always arrived on time and sometimes the delivery person will bring the pizzas up to my classroom for me. We all know not to expect the best pizza from Pizza Hut, but the pizza always arrives hot and satisfies my students' pizza cravings.

wow. worst service / pizza-related experience e.v.e.r.

... and I see I am not alone in being totally screwed by this joint.

It has been quite some time since I have ordered/eaten pizza from pizza hut/dominos/etc... (this is after all chicago, and I like to think there are far better options) and it may be one of the last. But we were feeding quite a few people for the Super Bowl and everyone agreed Pizza Hut was just fine. We called about 4:30 or 5:00 and placed an order to be picked up at 6:00. We were told that was not a problem and everything would be good-to-go (this "guarantee" was even printed on our receipt... in two places!).

Come 6:00 we head in and begin our wait amongst several (probably about 7) other patrons. Not ONE is at all happy with their service. One guy was demanding his money back because his order was placed online and they claimed they never received it and did not have his food.  We continue waiting and asking about our order. We keep being told, like everyone else, "just a moment. just a moment". After 35 minutes of waiting for pre-ordered food, we finally got our food about 40 minutes AFTER we were promised it would be ready.

We were never offered any discount toward that order or even a future order. It was seriously the most irritating service I have received in a loooooong time.

Sure Pizza Hut isn't that good compared to "real" pizza joints but it has cheap, quick pizza and that's why I like it.  Besides I love LOVE their breadsticks.  I don't know why, I know they're not that good ... or good for you but sometimes you just gotta love the bad boy, er Pizza Hut breadsticks. yum.

This Pizza Hut is ok, sometimes the pizza and breadsticks are better than other times but overall nothing has been below Pizza Hut's standard of averageness.

I do like that I can order the pizza on-line, wander around the apartment looking for my shoes and keys and then walk over to pick it up and its done.

Thanks Pizza Hut for indulging me with your greasy goodness when I'm too lazy to find anything else to eat.

Living blocks away from this Pizza Hut, you would automatically think it is a godsend, right? Wrong. Don't get me wrong, they usually get my order right (when I order online) and within 15-45 minutes (depending on how busy)  via delivery, but my biggest beef is the taste of the food. Their pan pizza comes extra soggy and their wings leave a lot to be desired. I don't think they cook their pizza and wings enough time.

The Pizza Hut on Devon/Lincoln does a much better pizza. It's never soggy. Their cheese sticks (no marinara) are killer, I eat those and skip the pizza a lot.

First of all, Pizza Hut has very cheap prices, easy online ordering, fast delivery, but is missing one important thing, Good Food!  The pizzas seem to be mass-produced with flavorless crust and low quality ingredients and the pizzas cause such bad stomach aches it puts White Castle to shame.

Pizza hut has to be the best pizza ever ( no doubt the most fattening though).

The prices aren't so bad, but this location is terrible. Their delivery times are extremely underated. their (40 minutes delivery time) is at least 75 minutes.

they always forget to bring the pop. the delivery man usually says "my bad". finally the last time, we told the manager to give us our money back or bring us the pop. they brought it an hour later.

they are always very rushed on the phone, and couldn't care less if you cancelled your order with them.

It started well enough: I ordered a pizza and was told it would be delivered in 1 hour. The girl on the phone even THANKED me because my phone number was linked to my address in their records.
After 1 hour, i called to ask how much longer the wait... and was told that it would be about 2 minutes. I went outside with my telephone and waited 20minutes... and called again to ask... how much longer? When i was told:
1. The pizza was already delivered (um I'm hungry and there's no pizza)
2. I was not available- I was outside and the PHONE was with me! and last, I demanded my refund.
The manager agreed to refund my $16.09.
THEN sent a thuggish delivery guy who proceeded to argue with me, saying that another delivery person was outside waiting (what???) that my phone number was not working and he demanded my credit card (I wouldn't give it to him) and gave me a cold, smashed pizza in a crumpled, flattened box, then left.
I called, even e-mailed Pizza corporate (you can find it on their website) and they showed no response or  interest whatsoever. So for these illiterate, lying losers, they earn the #1 spot on my "Run for you Life! Avoid!" List! Congratulations on your complete customer service failure Pizza Hut!

Here's an update: If you complain online about lousy service and being a girl threatened by a delivery-man, the lazy-corporate-do-nothing-powers-that-be at Pizza Hut mail you one measley coupon for a free single topping pizza. So Complain, get a free pie, after ordering like, two hours before. Hungry? No time to complain? Here's the code they gave me to mention: HL that's it, the letters "H and L" -it expires 8/4/2008. Go Crazy.  I hope MANY of you get something out of it, Because I really want these f**kers to suffer, and lose money after my appalling experience.

Pizza Hut sucks and is way overpriced.  But I am a Cheese Monster and they do stuff with cheese in their pizza (in the crust, in between layers) that nobody else does so sometimes I do get one those specialty pizzas but only if it's on sale.

When you live in a city with a rich tradition of delicious, diverse pizza offerings, it's hard to be enthusiastic about the relatively bland stuff from Pizza Hut.  I must admit that at times I've settled for their pan pizza rather than get something really good, but I guess everyone once in a while gets the urge to bypass high-quality food for greasy, quick, and dirty fare.  I recall that Pizza Hut's products seemed to be of much higher quality 15 to 20 years ago (or maybe just seemed that way because I was far less pizza-savvy back then...)
