If I could, I would give it 3.5 stars...but I lean more towards "meh" than "wow" with this place. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed a good meal here, but I don't think this is my favorite kind of pizza.

I grew up loving thicker pan pizza, so although in my old age I have come to appreciate and enjoy "real italian pizza" and all it has to offer, when I think of my favorite kind of pie I want it to be more carby, cheesy, and gooey. That aside, this is really good "real italian pizza".

I went here with a couple girlfriends for a low-key early birthday celebration on a Sunday night. We showed up at 7ish and the place was pretty empty so we got seated right away. We sat unattended for about 10+ minutes until our very sweet waitress stopped by and profusely apologized for not coming sooner; this made every ounce of bitchy attitude I had fly right out the window.

We split the caesar salad and two pizzas (one with cheese and sausage, and the other with prosciutto, mushrooms, olives and artichokes). Everything was yummy. The caesar was pretty large and was a good starter for three growing girls to share (the dressing was creamy and dreamy).

The sausage pizza was my favorite and I definitely paid more attention to it than its partner in crime. The other one was also good, but was served almost like a cobb salad (prosciutto was only on 2 pieces, artichokes were only on 2 pieces, etc.) so you only got one topping per slice...not a huge fan of that approach. You could tell that in every bite the ingredients were fresh, the dough was just handmade, and that it hot straight from the brick oven.

The bill was around $60 total which is not a bad deal for three people, plus we walked out with more than half a pizza leftover. I would come back here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice out of all the pizza places in the city. I am however interested in giving their Sunday brunch buffet a whirl, that seems to be a bit more up my alley.

There is something to say about tearing bread, tomato sauce, and delicious cheese with my bare fingers. You can use a fork and knife to cut the pizzas (as they are brought to your table whole), but that would defeat the purpose of the experience, don't you think?

Mmmmm... if you want real Italian pizza without having to go to Rome or Naples, then this is thee place to be. The atmosphere isn't at all stuffy and attracts a crowd of young (I promise not to say 'hipsters')  to young families. I've gone here plenty of times because just seeing the looks on my kids faces getting their own 12" pie, is priceless!

They also have a great selection of Italian red wine, that I swoon over- my favorite being Chianti. I love this place and if you're one of the only people left in Chicago who hasn't been here, you need to... and bring your familia while you're at it! :)

There are probably dozens and dozens of restaurants in Chicago that I've heard good things about, but have yet to try. I'm really happy some friends who just moved to Lincoln Square suggested we grab a bite and some wine at Pizza DOC.

We walked in as a party of 5 on a Thursday evening around 7-ish. Seating wasn't a problem.

A nice bottle of chianti, calamari and two delicious pizzas later, I left feeling satisfied and looking forward to my next visit.  The calamari was light, not greasy. I loved the thin, crispy crust of the pizza. And the toppings? Fresh, fresh, fresh. Overall, it was so nice and light, but even two pieces was enough to feel full.

We could have ordered more, but wanted to continue on with a short bar crawl. The bill came in around $100. Perfect for the amount of people.

I can't wait to go back...I just don't know which pizza to order next time around!

Carry-Out Experience

Bruschetta was surprisingly amazing!! The tomatoes were fresh and the seasoning just perfect.

Pizza is authentic Italian pizza.  It reminded me the pizza that I had in Italy...yummy.

A must try place

This pizza is very mediocre. I won't go back here even if the gorgonzola salad was decent. For an italian pizza joint it is extremely disappointing that they use this crappy industrial part-skim type cheese and not authentic mozzarella. Booo!

Success has gone to DOC's head...

When this place first opened, it was the de-facto Italian hangout. By that I mean that this was where the recent-arrival Ital community had group gatherings. (And those people know good food!) They started with a great chef (long since moved on) and were able to keep that torch lit for a few years. When I heard that no one was going there anymore, I figured that people just got tired of the place and I went there for old time's sake.

Meh.

The pizza was a shadow of it's former glory. The waitress was inexperienced and clueless about Italian food, even messing up my order and then blaming me, insinuating that I didn't know what the words meant. (Honey, Io parlo Italiano molto bene, anche meglio di te.)

The grilled vegetable app was over-soaked in balsamic. The gnocchi were decent, but nothing special. (Saving it from a one-star review.) Wine orders were forgotten. The pizza --for crying out loud all would have been forgiven here if there was good pizza-- was MEH. MEH! The most positive thing I could say about the entire dinner is that the salad greens were fresh.

The atmosphere of this place has always been nothing special, but it is unforgivable if the food isn't a knockout.

For the price, there are so many MUCH BETTER places to go in this city. Tocco comes to mind in Wicker Park (for pizza), Ciao Amore in Pilsen is a hidden gem that will be a destination you won't be able to get in to when the reviewers discover it about 6 months from now (for gnocchi and seafood). Spend your money somewhere where they are eager to please you!

DOC is just a shadow of it's former self.

Brick ovens and fresh ingredients join forces to bring the party inside your mouth. If you're looking for the after party don't fret, a good range of desserts and drinks are offered here as well.

Parking is easy on Lawrence and it's very close to the Western Brown Line stop.

I enjoy a nice glass of Barbera with my pizza here.

I like Pizza D.O.C. We've come here a handful of times and each time we've had pleasant (if rushed) service and everyone in the party has found something they were pleased with. They have a HUGE selection of oven-made pizzas as well as salads and pasta dishes.

I prefer other wood-oven pizza places in the area, however- just a personal preference. The ambiance is lacking as well. It seems to always be filled with large groups and kids are running around. The huge paper signs they have in their windows advertising their lunch buffet makes it seem really tacky as well.

So i just moved to this area from the clark/halsted lakeview area.  I have heard tons of good stuff here from my wife(she also heard it through others) and through others i know.

So we went in.  The place was empty we were seated right away and the waiter was friendly.  So we got the margarita pizza and their seasonal pumpkin gnocchi.
The pizza was ok it was a margarita pizza that's for sure.  No fresh basil, No fresh mozzarella, and no plum tomato.  It looked like a normal cheese pizza when it came out.  It also wasn't delivered with the basil.  It tasted fine but was not what i was expecting but for 12 dollars it was good pizza just not what its suppose to be.
The Gnocchi was horrid.  It wasn't even cooked into noodle, form it came out as basically mashed potato cut into squares and called gnocchi.  The walnut sauce had no taste and we kinda just picked at it.  It still sits in the fridge i'll prob throw it out after this.
The waiter was kind dittys or what ever.  Took forever to get our order to us never came back with the basil and took like 20 mins to get us our bill.  And it was pretty empty in there.

Either way this place made me miss Mista off of Broadway.  I guess the orginal Pizza Doc is suppose to be much better.  And this one i guess is owned by different owners sooo

I have been to Pizza D.O.C before and the experience was unmemorable for the most part.  While the service was fine and the rice ball appetizer was enjoyable the pizza lacked any wow factor considering the establishment is called "Pizza" D.O.C. and is located in Chicago. Known for its deep dish pizza, the city still offers plenty of great thin crust pizza options... Pizza D.O.C. is not one of them.
My last experience was unacceptable and the reason I decided to review the restaurant. I have worked professionally in the service industry for over fifteen years so I tend to look at a dining experience both as a customer and as a member of the food and beverage community.
To start things off... the waitress inappropriately commented on my height (I am 6'7"), which I am used to, but her choice of comment was "How's the weather up there?"...  I considered saying rainy and spiting on her (I'm kidding).  We sat and ordered drinks, which took over 10 minutes to be made and delivered...  mind you in a restaurant with almost nobody in it (maybe 10 customers).  The rice ball app was good, as it was the last time I had it.  The portobello mushroom soup was good, could have used a run through a chinois but the flavor was good (although it was strange that after the server put the soup down and was walking away, my date said "i don't want it"...  talking about a pen I was handing her, and the server said "you really need to try this soup". - we both looked at each other and laughed). When we ordered, we asked for the Pizza Quattro Stagioni and the Pasta Carbonara,,,  when we ordered the pasta our waitress said, "have you been here before?"...  I said yes and she said "well, I would get the Bucatini all'Amatriciana instead, but since you've been here before..." and walked away. She really must not have liked the Carbonara pasta because not only did she try to change my mind when ordering it...  she never brought it to us after I did order it (more on this later).  As we sat drinking and watching other people, who arrived at the restaurant after us, begin to be served main courses we began to look for ours.  Working in the industry for so long, I started to watch the service and realized we were in for a truly classic restaurant F - - - up!  Our food had not been ordered yet, which is always fun at a pizza place because of the prep and cooking time (15min minimum - if the cook is in a good mood).  So eventually the pizza came...  and obviously the cook wasn't in a good mood.  He had thrown the four ingredients into four piles, separate piles so none of the ingredients mingled with each other.  When the pizza was brought to the table the waitress asked if we needed anything else to which we responded "the pasta?"...  she said "Uuuuuhhhhh....  I forgot, 5 minutes" to which we responded "don't bother".  She then asked me if I wanted another drink but not my date, which was a bit strange seeing as her drink was almost empty.  So we finished our food and then the waitress, in an attempt to make up for her mistakes, brought us a tiramisu dessert.  It was OK, but neither of us wanted it at that point.  I would have preferred a free drink or a discount on the bill.
To sum it up:  Unmemorable Apps, bad service (and not because they were busy),  pizza that was literally thrown together by a chef who hated the waitress as much as we did and a half assed attempt to right a sunk ship with a cheap dessert  (restaurant make good 101...  and I'm not buying it).  There are much better options for food, let alone pizza, in this city...  hell. I make better pizza from scratch at home   Don't waste your time and money.  Pizza DOC?  No...  Pizza SOS!

For those of you who know true Napoletano pizza, this is your spot ragazzi!   I've been frequenting this place for 10 years, and sure, there's been a few times it's been an off night, but maybe only twice in 10 years!  That's a pretty good track record, AND they DO know what they're doing with the pizza.   I have noticed in the past year the service / waitstaff has gotten a bit scrappy compared to former staff...but I still love it - the pizza patate e rosamarino is my FAVE.  Ask them to drizzle a little extra v. olive oil on it right out of the wood stove before serving and I am tellin' you, you are gonna LOVE It.   Ma perche? I can't emphasize how much I love the pizza here.  Whatever you think pizza SHOULD taste like, it does at Pizza DOC.  It was incredibly authentic and reminded me of pizza I've had in Italy - it's gotta be that wonderful brick oven.  And if that's not enough, the bread basket - filled with fresh, hot, crusty goodness - will put you over the edge.  I can also say that the minestrone soup is some of the best I've had in the city.  The place itself is a bit of a hike - up in Lincoln Square - but the food is worth it.  It does not disappoint!

I remember leaving pretty happy, but I think that was because 1. being with my best girl and guy friend 2. the killer weather
I judged their pizza against Coalfire's, some very stiff competition to say the least.  It had a similar dusty, slightly charred quality to it's crust, but the center was wet.  Thin crust is supposed to be, well, crusty.
Like other yelpers, we noticed our waitress's matter-of-factness.  More the fault of management, I think.  Hire another waitress or expect to deal with a pissy solo waitress.  Personally, I think she was the greatest waitress in the history of waitressing because she gave us EXTRA CHEESE!

First off, don't pronounce it Pizza-doc.  As in "what's up, doc?"  It's Pizza D.O.C. which stands for something in Italian meaning they have a valid pizza license or official pizza certification.

I have had pizza in Italy, far too long ago, and yes this was pretty close.  The crust had really nice flavor and texture.  But my pizza Margherita had (gasp!) no basil!  WTF?  It's not Margherita without the fresh basil on top.

Even basil-less, the pizza was delicious, though the sauce and/or the cheese was highly salted.  I was chugging water all afternoon.

I ordered to-go, so I can't speak about the atmosphere (completely empty at 12:30 on a weekday) or service.  The pizzas weren't cheap, but each one came with a free house salad for the lunch special.

Lots of non-pizza stuff on the menu, too.

If you are looking for good Italian, this is not the place. I ordered the gnocchi, one of my favorite Italian dishes. It was served to me well over cooked, it had the consistency of mashed potatoes. When I informed the server about it, she took my plate and disappeared. About 5 minutes later she returned (with my same plate!) and told me that this is how gnocchi is supposed to be, and asked if I still wanted it!

NO! I don't want the (now cold) overcooked dish just because you are too cheap to make it the right way! Horrible service, horrible food.

I drove past there today, the awning was ripped off, the place looks abandoned.

Met a long lost friend here on Saturday.....she recommended the Rosemary and potatoe pizza. It was pretty amazing, considering I cannot imagine every putting potatoes on pizza. The style is traditional italian, and since my long lost friend and I had been to Italy together it was a logical choice that we had many memories about.  The strange thing about the pizza was the sweet aftertaste of the potatoes mixed with the lightness of the cheese. I love cheese but was glad it did not overpower the sweet potatoe taste. Funny thing, they were not real sweet potatoes but just regular russet.  Big space, light on ambiance, good waitstaff. Solid upscale pizza joint.

I love this place. If you want real authentic Italian style pizza this is your place!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew it was a good place when I walked in and all I heard was Italian from every table.

I try to go there a few times a year when I really want to treat myself. I need to go more often!

People who don't like the pizza may not know what real Italian pizza is supposed to be like, but I can tell you, it's as good as it gets!

If you want traditional American/Italian pizza, this iS NOT your place.

I saw this place on "Check Please" several years ago but never made it over there until recently. Unfortunately, I was left unimpressed after all that anticipation.

After several trips to Italy, it is always fun to seek out pizzas made the Italian way in a wood-burning oven and recreate the experience without the price of a plane ticket. At Pizza D.O.C., their crust is very, very good, but I found their pizza margherita to be inauthentic, as I expected sliced fresh mozzarella, but the pizza came with extremely salty shredded mozzarella. I can get that at any local pizza joint.

I could have ordered a pizza with sliced mozzarella di bufala, which would have been closer to what I was looking for, but that upgrade brought the price of an individual pizza to almost $20, and I just couldn't justify paying that much.

For those that were expecting a typical pizza parlor experience, this is not how they do it at Pizza D.O.C. (or in Italy). Pizzas are about 12" and are meant for an individual. If you have 4 people in your party, you would order 4 pizzas. And yes, they do come uncut.

Most pizza prices are pretty reasonable, considering some of the specialty ingredients used, but with drinks, coffees, and desserts, the check can add up rather quickly, so be advised.

As for the atmosphere, on both occasions, my party was seated in a small, cramped table pushed up against the wall and too close to other tables. We had to wait a while for service on both visits, and on the second visit, we had to ask for bread to be brought to the table.

I'm sorry to say it, but I had a better pizza and better service at their nearby competitor, Spacca Napoli.

As I've been saying for a few weeks now, amazing food, wacky place.  I see I'm not the only one to notice that it's a bit drab, I almost walked before ordering because of that feeling.  The server was reassuringly friendly and enthusiastic, and showed up at just the right time.  Almost at 5 stars for the food alone.
Early dinner, had calimari fritti, the Pizza Silvio & Gabriele (Tomato sauce, mozzarella, arrugula, prosciutto, sliced tomato & parmigiano), and Bucatini all'Amatriciana (Onion, guanciale(smoked Italian bacon), ex.v.o.o., spicy tomato sauce, parmigiano & romano cheese).
The pizza was delicious, I'm a fan of the thin crust and this is just right- great combination of ingredients, most importantly the topping quantity, shape, quality was perfect, easy to eat and delicious.  I'm a sucker for two noodles, always: Papardelle and Bucatini.  I'm also a sucker for thick cut pork belly of any sort, especially smoked.  With the onion and a bit of spice this was one of my favorite pasta dishes anywhere.

We tried DOC for brunch and it was fabulous, so I'm adding the fifth star.  It's more like lunch (I don't think they open until 11:30 AM), but you can get omelettes and waffles made to order (plus American sausage and bacon). So if you're in a group and you can't decide if you want breakfast or lunch on the weekend, this is the place to go.

Not only were the breakfast foods good, the pizza and pasta were freshly made and all were excellent. In addition, they serve antipasti, fruit, poached salmon, roasted potatoes and light desserts, so there's basically something for everyone...especially if you like Italian food (and who doesn't?). All for $16, which is a great price in Lincoln Square for all-you-can-eat buffet.

The restaurant is okay and the service was good.

Why two stars?

The pizza was definitely the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. I seriously would have preferred a Tombstone. I think it might have been the pizza we ordered (olives, artichokes, prosciutto, and mushrooms) because I honestly can't believe all these other good reviews based on our experience. First, what the hell is with putting all the toppings in their own little quarter of the pizza? If I wanted a mushroom only or an olive only pizza, I would have ordered one. I wanted those flavors to mix.  Plus, have you ever gotten three kalamata olives in one bite of pizza? It's not pleasant. Also, the proscuitto was in one giant piece just laying on 1/4 of the pizza. We tried to cut it, but it was so stringy and tough that we just gave up.

The crust was soggy and limp. Blech! Crust is super important to me, so this was a major turnoff. I do like thin crust and wood-fired pizzas when they're done right (Robey Pizza in Roscoe Village), but this was disgusting.

I did have the soup and a salad which were both very good, hence the 2 stars, but if you have the word "Pizza" in your name, it better be good.

This was unacceptable. I will never be back.

What a pleasant surprise! Just moved into the neighborhood and was ready to completely ignore this place as some regular pizza joint that I would probably never visit or order from. In talking to a friend about my new neighborhood, they asked me if Lincoln Square was the neighborhood with that really awesome pizza place that makes Italian style pizzas. I immediately went and checked it out. Who would have guessed? They do indeed have awesome Italian style pizza. Not only that, but this is really not a pizza joint at all, its an Italian restaurant that also serves pizza. This place really nees to re-think the way they are marketing themselves and the exterior needs a facelift pretty badly. The name is awful (and somewhat misleading) and the awning looks like it's falling apart. I will definitely be coming back and also ordering the pizza for take out. Good find!

For starters, my margherita pizza was certainly not worthy of a DOC certification. The dough was far too spongy, the mozzarella was unpleasantly salty and the tomato wasn't particularly fresh tasting. The restaurant was tragically understaffed and was sat us 15 minutes after our reservation. The waiters that were on hand made no attempt to hide their annoyance at being short-staffed.

In the end, the food was palatable (first point) and the manager did come by to apologize for our wait (second point) but didn't stick around long enough for me to air my other grievances.

My friend Ryan B. and I got pizza from here-- My second time, his first-- and I totally neglected my responsibilities as the more mature, experienced restaurant chooser. This place is so meh!

I'm totally underwhelmed by their chewy crust/gummy cheese interpretation of brick oven pizza. Also, they totally didn't cut it into slices or squares or nothing. You have to put on your own basil, which I'm sure keeps the flavor better or whatever, but it felt suspiciously like cooking to me.

I'm doubly irritated because it's so close to my sister's apartment, and I'm so very lazy. I've only had take-out from there, so maybe something terrible and transformative happens on the walk home (but I doubt it).

I was going to let it slide the first time, but now seemed like a good one to exact my petty revenge.

Very traditional Italian pizza. Good service and amazing salads. I would love to give this place more stars, but the crust was pretty burned, and I am a little picky. Another small beef - we were really jammed in there. I understand bodies make money in the restaurant biz, but those bodies need to be comfortable for them to want to return.

Excellent in a simple Italian way. Nothing fancy but savory sauces, romaine salads with light yummy dressing, my pasta was al dente just how I like it, and the pizza was thin, crispy, with melt in your mouth flavors. The Chianti was just right.

Family environment with paper top tables, crayons for the toddlers, and easy access for the old folks. Its upscale italian eating (the prices are on the high side) for those who have families who want a good meal. Why not have both?

Oh, and the olive bread is ridiculous. I ate a whole basket!

Dined with a lush for food.  In other words he ordered some of everything off the menu.  I love pizza, but I didn't find any of it appetizing, just boring.  We had massive leftovers which we passed out to the local guys that usually ask for money.  Free advertising in my opinion.

I saw this place on Check Please a few years ago and have wanted to try it for a long time.  Unfortunately it was a big disappointment.  First of all, the ambience is just shabby, there's no other way to put it.  It didn't really feel that *clean* and it just seemed kind of gray and worn out.  Maybe it would have been better by candle-light....  Second, and I kind of feel bad becasue this wasn't really their fault, but there were tons of kids there, and the kids were SO badly behaved it was almost comical.  Literally, these kids were just SCREAMING at the top of their lungs, not because they were crying, but just because I think they thought it was funny.  Oy.  Third, the pizza was ok, but just ok.  Not great.  Kind of soggy.  And I really like this style of pizza!  But it was just poorly executed.  And the service, like others have said, wasn't great.  Definitely never going back.

I don't really know why I had waited so long to go to this restaurant.  It had been right down the block from me for years, teashing me with its smells as I walked by.

I always looked in and imagined myself sitting there with friends and enjoying some fresh pizza from a wood burning oven.

So finally, after years of torture, I went in.  I have to say that place is actually quite beautiful.  The ambiance truely gives it a home-y feel.  I ordered a pizza that I shared with my girflriend and i have to say, It was good.  I cant go so far to say GREAT, but it was good.  The service, if I remember correctly, was almost sub-par as well.  For us being one of about 5 couples in the restaurant, it just seemed like we were a hassle for the staff.

No matter though, we enjoyed the food, which came out promptly - and had a great time.  I would definitely go back for another visit!  it is well worth it!

This is not your ordinary pizza place... this pizza is different... in a good way!

Seriously... this is good stuff. And I do agree with Victoria, the pizza is a touch better than Spacca Napoli (though I found service/atmosphere to be better at Spacca).

The salads were fresh and fabulous with a light dressing. And the pizza was something to remember! I am sad that I do not live near this place anymore. Visiting has become so much more difficult!

Pizza D.O.C. has gone through a change of ownership recently (or reversion to old ownership- complicated story here) and so recent reviews will matter the most here, I believe.  The pizza is still sound (used to be exceptional) with less success in other areas of the menu. The interior seems tired as does the general vibe of the place - although I do agree with other reviewers that there is excess energy in the form of Ritalin-charged toddlers.

They got one of my take-out orders wrong several months ago - gave me the wrong pizza, in fact - and couldn't care less about the mistake.  Time will tell here if adults prevail here!

This place used to blow me away, but last time I dined in, our server was so non-existent that I almost wanted to leave.  Not to mention, the worst server ever (the only time I ever didn't tip) who used to work at another local establishment ( I suspect she was canned)...now works at DOC!  What a nightmare.

So, service aside, the food rocks.  Pizzas are best eaten there, as the thin crust gets soggy quickly.  My favorite pizza is the one with the ham, asparagus, and a cracked egg in the middle.

Pastas are pretty tasty, especially the spaghetti bolognese.
I got food to go last time, which was a better deal, albeit expensive...and don't expect to sit at their little bar while you wait, as it is often taken for people who are dining at the bar.

I met a friend who was in town with a group from Ohio here for dinner. There was 8 of us and I didnt know anyone but my friend.
We were seated in a round table in the corner which made for easy conversation and question asking.
I ordered a glass a wine and since I was the last to arrive they had ordered appetizers which came not long after.
The bruschetta was good, fresh and the bread was still crunchy. Sometimes the bread gets a bit water logged by the time you get it and that really sucks.
I didnt try anyone elses food but my Spaghetti Carbonara was sooooo good! It was rich and flavorful. The pancetta was perfect and I couldn't stop picking at my plate even after I was definitely full!
We had no room for dessert but maybe next time I go I'll pace myself better and try more options.
Also, our server  was really nice and attentive and seemed pretty patient while the eight of us tried to divy up the bill...no easy feat.

I went the DOC for the second time on Sunday evening.  The food was fine.  Great salad, tasty pizza (recommend the eggplant) - although the cheese could have been more flavorful, house wine wasn't bad, and prices were reasonable.

But holy cow the horrible service!  I was with my parents - we're all polite people.  Have know idea what was going down. Perhaps the manager had just left for the weekend?  The staff outnumbered the customers, but they just hung out in the back talking and eating.  People that had come in with us had their pizzas before we had even gotten bread.  The super sullen waitress didn't say thank you or please once - slammed the 4 waters down on one corner of the table and walked away.  The only person that seemed like they were doing anything was a bus boy, I heard someone call Carlos.  Carlos should be promoted to manager.  He was refilling waters, clearing and resetting tables, laying out stuff for the next day and all with a smile. Sorry for going off on that rant there, but really couldn't believe it, especially if you're working for tips in this economy. Bathrooms were pretty filthy too. Needless to say I won't be back...

If you are in the mood for authentic Italian pizza, this is your best bet in Chicago. This place has it down. There is a wood fire over and the thin crust is exactly like real Italian pizza. My only problem is that the crust was a bit burnt. Good service, nice environment. Good eats.

We've had nothing short of excellent food at this unassuming Italian place in Lincoln Square.

Last Saturday night we had a great time with friends, drinking wine, talking loudly and eating arugula salad, celery and radichio salad, pine crusted salmon, spaghetti with pancetta, chicken rollitini, veal saltimboca, etc. Someday, I'd like to try their wood fired pizza.

BTW, Denominazione di origine controllata (D.O.C.) is an Italian quality assurance label for food and wine.

Pizza D.O.C. lives up to its name.
